I thought his review was credible and I bought the game. Do I regret buying it? A little bit. I had fun but that’s only because the originals were so good. I would’ve had that fun playing the originals. One positive I have to give it is the controls and checkpoints/being able to insta restart a mission.

I personally would welcome the decision of releasing a new COD every 2 years. The devs would have more time to work on each entry and could prevent/remove more bugs and glitches and players could actually enjoy the game longer.

He says that the new COD games sucks but he admits that he has not been buying those games, but he hasn't even played them. What a fat L. Also, I'm surprised that Activision will not release a mainline COD game next year. Especially since 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of COD being a thing. I feel that Activision should do a remaster collection similar to the Master Chief Collection where they add the campaign, multiplayer and side modes of the Xbox 360 era COD games and all DLC into one package. Not only will each of these games be revitalised which will allow people to relive the glory days, but with every DLC included, the community won't be divided. That could be a good way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of COD. Although I will say that I am curious about what Treyarch is making.

Origins was good, but odyssey was a straight downgrade in gameplay. Losing the shield was a terrible idea. Especially considering you were playing a SPARTAN. Without a shield. Facepalm. I’m super burned out on Ubisoft games. They’re all the exact same with a different skin slapped on them.

MW2019 is literally the best call of duty game ever made from its mechanics alone. Not even to mention how much it sold. It legit saved the franchise after black ops 4's disaster.
I just hope these Two great Studios don't end up like what Microsoft did with Rare Studios and a few other Game Studios they bought out. Kill off all squeals, shelve the Studio for years, and only Put out remasters or a new IP every 5 years to keep the Rights. Actually have a friend who works at Raven Soft (and has done for just under 20 years). He said everyone there was pretty positive about the acquisition. Of course, he can't speak for all of activision, but I don't think they are panicking over a deal they willingly entered into.
23:00 slight correction about the Assassin's Creed games. The "starting to turn AC into a level based RPG" thing didn't happen until AC Origin's: the game that came after AC finally took a year off in 2016. Syndicate and all games prior had very little RPG elements. As far as modern AC goes, it's is a different kind of game than previous AC games. I think they're good but hardly recognizable to what came before, but good all the same.
Actually glad COD is getting time to develop more. I really want a COD that has some innovation and more thought process in the map design. Haven’t enjoyed Cold War and didn’t bother to buy vanguard. Cool if y’all play, but just hasn’t been for me since MW reboot and BO2 before that
Yeah just FYI you can still one hit assassinate everybody in the new games if you have a skill unlocked and there’s a little QuickTime event and it’s a pretty early skill to get lol they just realized it was just a bit overpowered to instantly kill anybody without any challenge
Bingo. This shows that Griffin ironically didn't do his research regarding AC Valhalla. Early on, you can get a skill that adds a small QTE for higher level enemies. If you time it just right, you can kill that higher level enemy in one hit with your Hidden Blade. In my eyes, this mechanic is the perfect way to blend the old and the new: It actually tells the player to focus if they want to get the one hit kill, thereby rewarding the player for their patience and skill while still going back to what the series used to be.
Ngl, Cold War is really deserving more content. And I fucking love CW. Warzone isn't as good but is solid lol. Hope others feel like cod still has a place in gaming

Idk, Modern Warfare was fun, but the most recent two didn’t do so hot (I mean people still bought them yeah) but it got returned a lot and people said they were pretty bad. I did really like modern warfare tho and I’m not a huge COD fan! So props for that :D

For real. Out of the 8 or so IP's Activision still keeps going, there are like 30+ IP's beyond those 8 that they haven't touched since the 7th generation of consoles at most. True Crime, Guitar Hero, Blur, Singularity, Interstate, Hexen, I could go on. Any one of those could easily be brought back with even rereleases or remakes to signal the return of franchises that have long been forgotten while others could get fresh reboots to hopefully kick things off on the right foot. True Crime, for instance, could return as a more grounded in reality GTA competitor using real world locations and brands to tie into whatever narrative the developers would craft, and Interstate could fill that vehicular arena combat hole that hasn't been filled since Twisted Metal was killed off years ago. There's also Empire Earth, which could be turned into a kind of sister series to Age of Empires with a bigger focus on length of time.

15 seconds in and I'm already entertained. How can someone catch an L that quickly in a video. He says that the new COD games sucks but he admits that he has not been buying those games, but he hasn't even played them. What a fat L.
Also, I'm surprised that Activision will not release a mainline COD game next year. Especially since 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of COD being a thing. I feel that Activision should do a remaster collection similar to the Master Chief Collection where they add the campaign, multiplayer and side modes of the Xbox 360 era COD games and all DLC into one package. Not only will each of these games be revitalised which will allow people to relive the glory days, but with every DLC included, the community won't be divided. That could be a good way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of COD. Although I will say that I am curious about what Treyarch is making.
It was the devs' decision to stop annual releases, and it's only because of Microsoft having purchased ABK and its subsidiaries that they got that choice to begin with, since Microsoft actually respects their devs some-what.

Honestly, I don’t mind the level-based gameplay of the newer Assassin’s Creed titles, but I do agree that the older ones are better overall.
Odyssey and especially Origins were great. Valhalla doesn't have enough good characters or a good story so Valhalla to me kinda sucks but imo they're better than syndicate, rogue, unity, revelations
@@gambeano. Origins was awesome, though that's simply what I think of it. Compelling characters, beautifully crafted world exploring Ancient Egypt, fluid combat, nice RPG mechanics imo, etc.

MW2019 is literally the best call of duty game ever made from its mechanics alone. Not even to mention how much it sold. It legit saved the franchise after black ops 4's disaster.
I just hope these Two great Studios don't end up like what Microsoft did with Rare Studios and a few other Game Studios they bought out. Kill off all squeals, shelve the Studio for years, and only Put out remasters or a new IP every 5 years to keep the Rights.

Actually have a friend who works at Raven Soft (and has done for just under 20 years). He said everyone there was pretty positive about the acquisition. Of course, he can't speak for all of activision, but I don't think they are panicking over a deal they willingly entered into.
23:00 slight correction about the Assassin's Creed games. The "starting to turn AC into a level based RPG" thing didn't happen until AC Origin's: the game that came after AC finally took a year off in 2016. Syndicate and all games prior had very little RPG elements. As far as modern AC goes, it's is a different kind of game than previous AC games. I think they're good but hardly recognizable to what came before, but good all the same.

Yeah just FYI you can still one hit assassinate everybody in the new games if you have a skill unlocked and there’s a little QuickTime event and it’s a pretty early skill to get lol they just realized it was just a bit overpowered to instantly kill anybody without any challenge
Bingo. This shows that Griffin ironically didn't do his research regarding AC Valhalla. Early on, you can get a skill that adds a small QTE for higher level enemies. If you time it just right, you can kill that higher level enemy in one hit with your Hidden Blade. In my eyes, this mechanic is the perfect way to blend the old and the new: It actually tells the player to focus if they want to get the one hit kill, thereby rewarding the player for their patience and skill while still going back to what the series used to be.
Dreamcastguy is a huge Playstation fan so its not surprising that he'd say this.
Ngl, Cold War is really deserving more content. And I fucking love CW. Warzone isn't as good but is solid lol. Hope others feel like cod still has a place in gaming

Idk, Modern Warfare was fun, but the most recent two didn’t do so hot (I mean people still bought them yeah) but it got returned a lot and people said they were pretty bad. I did really like modern warfare tho and I’m not a huge COD fan! So props for that :D

For real. Out of the 8 or so IP's Activision still keeps going, there are like 30+ IP's beyond those 8 that they haven't touched since the 7th generation of consoles at most. True Crime, Guitar Hero, Blur, Singularity, Interstate, Hexen, I could go on. Any one of those could easily be brought back with even rereleases or remakes to signal the return of franchises that have long been forgotten while others could get fresh reboots to hopefully kick things off on the right foot. True Crime, for instance, could return as a more grounded in reality GTA competitor using real world locations and brands to tie into whatever narrative the developers would craft, and Interstate could fill that vehicular arena combat hole that hasn't been filled since Twisted Metal was killed off years ago. There's also Empire Earth, which could be turned into a kind of sister series to Age of Empires with a bigger focus on length of time.
