Xiaomi use to sell 8 inch tablets under the Xiaomi Pad brand and it has a better screen then most tablets around this price range. The 8 inch space is weird in a way that they deliberately crippled their performance and specs to not cannibalize their smartphone sales, which if true is pretty dumb IMO. I wish 8 inchers has slightly better performance and display for once

Great points I think the iPad mini is am example that you can buy smaller tabs with good performance and people will buy them. To browse. To watch. To read. To carry. All those are easier on an 8" or 8.9".

I'm in the US no idea but willing to bet Xiaomi warranty will cover it. Sure hope so since I'm keeping one - and the odds of failure are really low

@jaykaufman6139 yeah for sure. My experience with Xiaomi CS has been great to be fair. Fingers crossed it's not needed

I notice that on the Xiaomi UK website they link it with a basic rubber stylus, so perhaps the penal 2.0 and other handwriting stylii won't be recognised.

I believe the tipped ones can somehow replicate that. When I've looked online some have used it

Battery life is good not great but impacted by the 90hz display for sure. Most apps are fine but if you use anything that uses a lot processing power then it will slow down and struggle

You can get 4k on compatible TVs. Never seen it on a tablet myself but it does mean a higher subscription level too
