5:38 While I'm not really an electrical engineer, I figure putting heatshrink around a transistor like this would be somewhat dangerous, as you're completely isolating the heatsink on the back of the transistor from any airflow whatsoever, which risks it overheating and damaging the component, and possibly burning the tubing (if it gets that hot).
Just wanted to say this is a fantastic video. Excellent skill and know how to wire sound to your own lightsaber. Excellent tutorial. Thank you. I’ve built (3) of these so far. The only problem I’ve had is that the Micropuck I was using fried. Can I do this with any electronic light saber?????
PLEASE HELP! I'm stuck, I'm trying to run a 12w LED module, instead of the single cree he's using. It utilizes four Cree XQ-E LEDs. The seller states it can run off a 3.7v 18650 battery with no resistors....but can't figure out what puck I'd need to run this 12w 4LED array off the Hasbro sound board.
Any advice???
Can't find the micropuck he states, and not sure it can run this 12w 4led module. Looks like a 2009, but can't find that 1425 model. Did find a 2009 series....2009 w/ 350 mA output, 2009-HI w/ 400 mA output, and 2009-SHO w/ 600 mA output.
This was made 3 years ago. They sadly won’t be responding. At least more then likely. Check if everything is done right. And watch him and copy him movement by movement. That’s sadly all I can recommend. Good luck and have a good day.
@@thegraceandroseshowmore9975 yeah i knew it was a longshot. The video doesn't really help, can't find the puck he used, but doesn't matter since the LED he uses is so weak. I've found a lot of info on thecustomsabershop.com forums. Just ordered several to try...
Hands are messed up right now, so going to have to be a project for later.
Will it work with any blade builder saber, like the Kylo Ren one?
In case I wanted to transform the Kylo Ren lightsaber toy into Combat Ready lightsaber, the steps for the electronic parts,
such as connecting the LEDs etc, are they the same or does it change anything?
Exactly the same, just more LEDs to replace
@@Suedeash thank you so much
Super clean👍🏽👍🏽
I love watching things like this. It’s always fascinated me but I have no idea about any of it lol.
What resistor would help for this project? I have a tri-LED
Could you find the answer, what is the correct size of the resistor?
I really enjoy your build videos. Thank you for sharing.
@beyond geek
Did the new speaker greatly increase volume or do i need an amplifier, if so what should i do
