- The process of lifting a section of the bridge from atop the cargo ship M/V Dali using precision charges is a careful and highly precise operation. The steps involved may include:
1. Situation Evaluation: The team will conduct a thorough evaluation of the bridge's position on the ship, including its structure and condition.
2. Planning: After the evaluation, the team will plan how to lift the bridge safely without damaging the ship or surrounding structures. This involves selecting the appropriate location for the explosion.
3. Placement of Precision Charges: Precision charges are strategically placed under the section of the bridge to be lifted. These charges are designed to explode in a controlled manner to lift the bridge.
4. Explosion Setup:Once the charges are in place, the explosion setup is done to ensure that the explosions occur simultaneously and provide the right amount of thrust to lift the bridge without damaging the ship.
5. Execution: The explosion is triggered with high precision, producing enough vertical thrust to lift the bridge without damaging the ship.
6. Cleanup: After the bridge is successfully lifted, the team will clean up the remaining debris and continue with other recovery processes.
This process requires high technical skills and experience to be carried out safely and successfully.

Nicely done and nicely flown to drone person
Thanks for resisting the temptation to insert some irritating music!
Good one !!!!
When are they going to lift that piece of asphalt off the bow along with the steel structure underneath it , would make it lift the front up ?
Not until the Dali gets moved tho Seagirt.
They have 2 forward ballast tanks filled with water. She will not float again until the crew lighten the bow. It may be actually stuck in the mud. Mud can create a suction that is hard to break free from
is that Deisel smoke? They left _MV Dali_ running? Perhaps to burn off fuel and lighten it?
The DALI is still a fully manned and fully operating vessel. Its diesel generators and all auxiliary systems are still running, powering the hotel load and all other essential services, and will continue to do so.
Many of the containers are refrigerated/freezer. They get power from the ship so the ships generators have to be kept running. Basically everything is running except the main engine which only turns the prop.
Why is my package taking so long to get here?
Do u think any of the crew got fired
NO!
None of the crew have been discharged. They have numerous agencies advocating on their behalf. Among these are their employer, their union, their respective embassies, and many non-profits oriented towards seamen's welfare, such as the Seamen's Church Institute.
Much has been published in recent weeks about the crew and their situations.
For now, they all must remain on board to husband and operate the vessel, for the duration of the investigation.
USGC and NTSB, the primary investigation agencies, are not the most alacritive in their investigations. They tend to grind things into a very fine dust, before publishing their respective reports.
Ship 1 Bridge 0
Yeah..
IT IS TAKEN TO LONG!
So how many marine salvage projects have you participated in?
Competent marine salvage requires extensive engineering and technical experience BEFORE the first move, to ensure everything goes smoothly and no further damage is done. It's a VERY risky business, and all risks must be identified and mitigated.
I'd say that the Unified Salvage Command is making extraordinary progress, under the circumstances. There have been ZERO untoward incidents so far in this extremely complex project, which is due to their very thorough and professional approach.
why is the crew still on the boat?
Because the ship is their home and job. They have no place to go and are still needed on the ship. They are also far from the explosions with hundreds of steel containers between them and the explosion's.
probably going to scrap the ship .
Naw,they will put a patch on it to get it to a dry-dock and probably put a new bow on it. But first they have to get all those containers off.
@fw1421 Probably then, it was built 2015 .
The bow certainly does require extensive repairs before the DALI can put to sea again, according to a cursory visual inspection, but a competent marine repairs facility could likely complete those repairs in about 60 days or so.
If it's still making money, that's probably what will happen.
All for a lack of a few bucks in maintenance and training, and maybe riding herd on the crew
That is only UNINFORMED supposition. You don't know that for a fact!
Not the best bridge they ever built.
Name any bridge in the world that would remain standing when a major support is knock out.
