Those catamarans will sneak up on ya! Your episodes keep getting better and better. Morgan actually seems to be enjoying camera time and we're just loving Moosie the fearless Kitty. Can't wait for what's next.
Thanks Sara! I'm really glad you're enjoying our videos. I can't really tell if my friends are going to be into to watching what are essentially our home movies.
I like the teamwork with setting up the sails and how you see things as a bike day, or a sailing day. That's what I am exactly considering when sailing in the Baie-des-Chaleurs. You guys are interesting and quite easy going and cool. Keep filming!
I'm all about going voyaging with bikes. In the practical sense, it makes getting groceries way faster and easier than on foot. They also open up the places that we stop into for better exploring. We used to sail with folding bikes, but now Morgan and I are really into mountain biking. What often directs where we plan to stop is if there are mountain bike trails to ride. We honestly had anticipated doing more "hardcore" mountain biking. But more often, we find ourselves hitting a gravel road or rail trail while visiting places.
Thank you for your wonderful video . My wife is from Cape Breton and we were married in East Bay . Amazing place and people . Wish I was with them again .
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. They are just our "home movies" something I want to have floating around the internet then like 10 years from now I'll bring up to Morgan "honey want to see the adventure we went on 10 years ago". Also, editing the videos makes me slow down and relive the experience. What I'm getting at is, I'm really glad for all that, and if other people think it cool too, then wow! What a good use of my time!
Great video!! I really enjoyed watching! My vote was with Morgan, yes to sailing! Mountain biking on another day... Watching a gate open for 10 minutes😂😂
Thanks! I am grateful that we are out on this adventure. We have previous "seasons" on this channel broken down into playlists. But this year is different because we quit our jobs in Maine and are relocating to Morgan's native land of Minnesota. We have the whole summer to sail, and I enjoy capturing the experience and publishing it on RUclips.
Glad to have found your channel :) Hubby and I have sailed Lake Huron for about 7 years and recently moved to Nova Scotia and will be moving our new to us boat from R.I to the Yarmouth area soon I hope :) Enjoying your content as we hope to hop on board and explore our new province/home. Fantastic content, going to have to binge watch!
@@practicaldreams6377 We sailed out of Little Current and Spanish, Ontario- you'll want to visit this area known for the Benjamin Islands (supposed to be in top 5 fresh water sailing places in the world). Little Current is on Manitoulin Island (largest fresh water island in the world)- lots of places to hike, bike, camp, boat, and First Nation culture/art to explore- then hop over to Baie Fine (a fjord!), the "Pool", and Killarney for some dockside fish and chips and entertainment. Clearly you're explorers at heart, I can see you there- best time of year as the 'trailer sailors' and all the people from wherever come up, is mid July to mid August. Looking forward to living vicariously through ya!
We didn't anchor in Mahone Bay (to the best of my memory) after refueling at Lunenburg Yacht Club we failed to get the anchor to set at the Tancooks. So we pressed on and found refuge at Northwest Cove, St Margarets. Not a particularly spectacular place to visit. But we just needed a little sleep.
Not too bad, surprisingly. 68 if I remember correctly. I've been swimming nearly every time we are on anchor and at no point have I been colder than swimming at Robinhood.

A very lovely area!
Just found your chanel. So happy you found Shelter Cove. It’s the best spot in the 100 wild islands.
We did alot of the same travels as you guys this past summer and you have our attention for sure.

I envy your sailing area. Where I live people just have boats to have a floating summer home: Baie-des-Chaleurs
You have got to stop in Port Mouton Bay and check out Carters Beach there is anchorages right off the beach!
Where did you anchor in Mahone Bay when you couldn't anchor at one of the Tancooks?

How warm was the water in shelter cove?
Not too bad, surprisingly. 68 if I remember correctly. I've been swimming nearly every time we are on anchor and at no point have I been colder than swimming at Robinhood.
Is that a Rocna 25?
It sure is. You nailed it.
