This wooly cabled stocking evokes all those cozy holiday memories, from trimming the tree to snuggling up by the fireplace. Personalizing them couldn’t be easier - just use some scraps of wool, and a felting pen and “write” your loved one’s name on the ribbed cuff. Download the free pattern here: go.craftsy.com/...
Finished Measurements
Finished stocking measures approximately 10.5” [26.5 cm] in circumference and about 17.5” [44.5 cm] long from folded edge of ribbing to toe.
Love this stocking! Thank you for the free pattern. I wish there was a way to post a photo of the finished project! I altered the cuff with a 5 strand celtic weave band. Love it!
Hi I love the stocking and I did it with an acrylic yarn but it turned out super small and I tried adding a couple more cable crossing but when it was time to decrease it didn’t come out right 😢 can you tell me how to decrease the stitches when the crossings are increased? I would really appreciate it thank you so much love your video blessing 🌹
Great question! Please send your question to customer service via email or chat so they can verify your membership details. Thanks!
I made this stocking, and while it turned out looking decent, I wasn’t completely satisfied with it. I think there were some gaps in the instructions that weren’t covered in the video, like how to continue the stocking after making the hole for the heel. The stocking is also really long and heavy. I would love to see a similar design for a shorter, wider stocking. Overall, a challenging but not too difficult project!
Thank you for your feedback. I have forwarded your comment to the proper department. We value your opinion, and it will help with the development of our online streaming community. We will continue to listen and work hard for your complete satisfaction.
I decided I wanted this stocking to be wider myself so I took a close look at the pattern. I discovered that it's a multipole of 8. So all you do is add multipoles of 8 until you get the width you want. I added 2 multipoles of 8. I found the pattern is a 4 row repeat, so to make it shorter you leave out multipoles of 4 rows until you get the length you would like or add multipoles of 4 if you want it longer. I hope this information it helpful to you! :)
nice stocking...i wish you showed the complete stocking to see what we are working for...also i wish you zoomed in closer so we can see exactly what your doing....it does get confusing .....you leave us hanging to finish the toe and heel.....i wish you worked that so we could see how it was done........but love the stocking...merry christmas!!!
I am sorry to hear that. I will forward on this feedback to the proper department for future content. Thanks!
Oh man. I need you to zoom in with 4K, bc the video is in 720 and I cannot see where the extended single crochet stitch is you’re talking about after showing how to cross the cables(the second row-the row immediately following the ‘set up’ row).
It’s helpful if you give more detailed verbal cues like the next stitch is an extended crochet to the right of or in between, something like that.
I don’t have the inclination to learn crochet charts or symbols so all of this was frustratingly confusing.
Especially after i allowed your site to list and sell my email address and did not get the “free” pattern bc the site asks me to pay something like $82 for a year long membership……..😶😑😶
Thank you for your feedback. I will forward this on for future content creation. Thanks!
Can see what your doing. Cameras to far away.
less talky more hooky
Girl...WAAAAAAAAAAYYYY TOOOO MUCH EXTRA TALKING!!! I VERY confusing!!!! I almost gave up... especially the left handed talk....make separate videos for stuff like that or something
i had to replay the first part where she said how many chains at least 5 times cause she's talking so damn much
...it's a live recording?
