Howdy friend- wow! This really thrills me to know I’ve helped you! This is why we started the RUclips channel to share with people who have always wanted to build a log cabin. When I hear from people like you who are doing it I realize the effort we put into making the videos is well worth it and I feel like I am accomplishing my goal. Send me an email at thebeardedcarpenter8@gmail.com and we’ll figure out how to get the pictures. I wish you the very best with your cabin build and if I can help you just let me know. Hi Paul, I could smell the Cedar boards and it's been a while. Thank you for taking the time to film and show us your journey. I really like the color of the roof tin, stay friend, God Bless.
Air flow isn’t something I’d of even thought about. Loved the music and it was so mesmerizing watching you cut the logs for the doorway. Best wishes and may God bless you, my bearded friend 💕👍😊
Howdy Brother Duke- thank you so much. I got the hat down at the hardware store from a rack of all kinds of hats for $20. Don’t know for sure but it might be like a fedora style. Hope y’all are doing well down there. Take care and God’s blessings to y’all
Bro.Paul,howdy. That cabin is gonna be nice.I'm sure Wayne's wife will like the kitchen ( and he will ,too, when she gets to cooking in it!).Stay safe in this heat!! 🤠🥵
Howdy Brother Art- I think they are going to really enjoy having the kitchen and bathroom. I’m drinking lots of water and body armor drinks to keep me going. Hope y’all are doing well. God bless
Howdy Paul, that’s Very smart using the Cedar for the vent boards with holes 🕳 on the kitchen. Because Most not all but most Insects hate Cedar. So that’s a brilliant decision to use that as your vent boards, because they’ll be less likely to try to get in the house there thru those cedar vents. I pray God continues to Bless ya My Bearded Brother. ✝️
Howdy CC- actually, I used the cedar because I had it. But, you’re right, most bugs don’t like cedar. Hope y’all are doing well. May the Lord bless y’all also
@@TheBeardedCarpenter Thank You Paul. Well you using the Cedar because you had it was the lords way of giving you the right lumber to deter bugs and insects 😁👍

Hi Paul. Detailed all the way through👍 But I'm wondering how are you going to hide the edge of the isolation board where it meets the interlocking logs? See you on the next one✌️
Howdy Marc- thank you so much. Covering the insulation will be an opportunity for invention lol. I’ve been up against things like that before and usually figure something out. Hope all is well with you up there. Take care and God bless
Hello I am on new account but same cabin. Rolling right along now. Got the land cleared back and starting to crib some floor joists and repoint chimney. My question is this, any recommendation for log treatment while chinking is out. I was told of one but can’t remember what was recommended. Also love your saw skills! Thanks again.
Howdy y’all- I have been a firm believer in boiled linseed oil for a long time. You might spray the logs with a borax mixture and let it dry and then spray the linseed oil on. Some people will mix mineral spirits with the linseed oil for better penetration. Hope all is going well with y’all. Take care and God bless
Howdy Paul. Looking good. You could make a couple of benches for the porch from what you cut from the door way. How far is that cabin from Eufaula? I'd love to go see it.
Howdy Kevin- thank you so much. I’m not sure but I figure we’re about three hours from Eufala. Been a long time since I’ve been out there. Come on down sometime. May want to wait until it cools down. Take care my friend. God bless y’all
Have a question... I have seen people screw metal roofing through the flat of the panel as you did and also through the ridge of the panel which is how I was taught to install the old V ridge galvanized tin roof. What is the proper way to do it?
