    it was wild in the early 90s, when ,multicarts became a thing, i remember seeing the 100 in 1, the 200 in 1, but most were like the same 20 games but modded, but some were legit good, i remember a 16 in 1 and an 8 in 1, to think u got 24 amazing games for like $100 bucks was just insane, games like CASTLVANIA, MEGA MAN, DOUBLE DRAGON 2, CONTRA, SUPER C, JACKAL, LIFE FORCE....it was amazing.

    Sunsoft made that to be Terminator game before they were able to get the License, hence why the name change. Sunsoft was about trying to create a quality product, they did the same thing with Batman game I believe...but was able to get that License. Most movie tie in games suck cause they are quickly made. Sunsoft also made a Superman game, but was not able to get the License, they didn't rename that game so just scrapped it.

    For as cheap and readily available these roms are... and how few of them don't work without some sort of FPGA intervention... I'm surprised nobody has just made a US only rom dump multicart, that was thoroughly vetted to weed out bad roms, bad hacks, duplicates and typos and made it into a cohesive cart with a competent menu.
    I mean... honestly, these Chinese sellers don't seem to be scared of any sort of American copywrite laws, and people buying them don't seem to be scared of buying them, and Amazon doesn't seem to care that they Chinese are selling them on their platform... why can't they get it right?
    I mean... the whole reason there are Everdrives is so that YOU the CUSTOMER takes on that risk of adding your own roms... not them.
    Maybe they are intentionally selling us crappy rom dump carts, because they know people will keep buying them searching for the one done right... and it will never happen, and in the meantime, they keep selling new cart revisions that might be slightly better than the last.

    • @KindaCool
      @KindaCool Год назад +3

      Probably because the people putting these things together don’t actually PLAY these things. They take the criticism and make adjustments to the next crappy product in an attempt to adjust as they go, but there is never any true understanding or passion for retro gaming there. They are just chasing the easy $$ that they know exists around the hobby. They are more than likely into dozens of different scammy ventures at any given time, retro gaming ROM carts are just another cash grab opportunity running in parallel with the others…

I'm thirty three and remember playing a few Mario games as a kid but any time I've tried to play something like Zelda and to a lesser extent Kid Icarus I just find them completely unplayable. i don't mind those carts, or repro carts, just as long as they're not trying to sell them as originals. Why? because some people don't care about collecting, and are not familiar with emulation or even everdrive carts, some people don't even know what a rom is, and they just want to play games from their childhood without having to pay an arm in a leg, because a game is now "rare" Guess we can all thank those collectors who pay to have games put behind plastic coffins and have them "authenticated"
    So i see these compilations carts and those repro carts as somewhat of a viable alternative. What else can you do? wait until nintendo decides to expand their game library on the NSO apps? don't hold your breath..

    This looks like it's far more competent then pretty much every other multi-cart I've seen. Games are almost all titled perfectly the way they should be, no annoying and misleading duplicates adding to the game total, and it supports multiple game saves for once. The few (I assume English translated) Japanese exclusive games are a nice touch too. Still, it's not perfect. That Dead Pool hack is wasted space that could have been used for something original, and those few games having crashing issues is pretty shitty. I'm also disappointed that it doesn't always have every game in a series. No Final Fantasy III, Goonies 1, or Ys III.
    *Edit:* There are more games on this then I initially realized. Madlittlepixel didn't actually show every game as he edited out some of the list, so anyone reading should keep that in mind. The cart does include big name titles such as all Double Dragon and Mega Man games, both Chip & Dale's, all of the Disney games, Bomberman 1, Battletoads, Blaster Master, Marble Madness, MC Kids etc. It also unfortunately includes Rocky & Bullwinkle, lol. Why!?

    • @Madlittlepixel
      @Madlittlepixel  Год назад +1

      I get your points, but also it does have all 4 released TMNT games for the NES on the cart. Probably missed it when I went through the game list as it was sped up to save time.

    • @JMFSpike
      @JMFSpike Год назад +1

      @@Madlittlepixel Oh, I checked out the video again and it does look like you skipped the section where the TMNT games would be. After game 200, you flip to the next page which appears to start at game 225. If not for those numbers you'd never know, so superb editing there.
      Also, I was obviously mistaken about a couple of games I said were missing. Final Fantasy 1 and Startropics 1 are in there, I just forgot for a second that they're a part of the initial 30 NES Classic games. I will edit the post to correct that mistake.
      I agree with you that they should have had them all alphabetical, or at least have a separate section for the NES Classic lineup (I would much prefer the former though.)

    All of my cheap flash carts jag and break down quick. Never buy one that has a red circuit board

    I was wondering if this has unreleased games like Bio Force Ape. And does it have Metroid Rogue Dawn?
    Also, this collection looks like a dump of someones hacked NES Classic Mini.

    I'm really conflicted on how multicarts like this are able to be publicly be sold on sites like Amazon considering the not so legal means of those games being on those carts
    still a nice cheap option regardless
