Not entirely. Her statement “Gift or no gift, I am just as special as the rest of my family” is, I suspect, the message of the film and the movie in a nutshell.
Ok, calling it now: -She's going to find out her gift later in the film (least likely) -She's going to learn that even without a gift she is truly special in her own way and she doesn't need one. (most stereotypical) -A mix of the 2 above. (Maybe?)
First one could be likely since Disney has covered the second one in depth. But I could be wrong. I love anything with magic-ish stuff and I can't wait to watch.
It seems like Disney is finding its magic again....such a likeable main characterm beautiful colors, amazing music....and it reminds me a bi of the Fairies series, Finding your unique gift that will be able to save the rest of the talents, such as flowers, water, light, animals..., with Prilla; (and not the whole change my talent because I wanna fly to Mainland)...well, I'm curious for this movie!
So, did you just completely missed the movies with Moana and Merida in them? I also don't consider Mulan or Tiana a copy/paste of pre-existing princesses. Unless by "copy/paste" you mean because their character designs were slender?
@@shinythings1 no, I'm not talking about those folks, I'm talking about the fact that there are a surprising amount of Disney female characters who have almost the exact same face shape, asides from different hair and eye color
Those are mostly the modern princesses- Rapunzel, Elsa, Iduna, and Anna all have the exact same face shape. They changed Rapunzel's a little bit for TTS, and Elsa's face was slimmed down for Ralph Wrecks the Internet, but other than that, those four characters were literally copy/pasted. I hope this movie isn't disappointing. I'm sure it won't be Mulan 2020 bad but you know, it could be boring beyond the music like Frozen 2. The plot I feel might challenge the ideas of talent. After all, the protagonist does seem skilled with something, but it is something she created for herself. Maybe she knows how to coordinate the family skills, maybe she's innovative and have ways to circumvent her lack of "The Gift", maybe she's good at accordion. I'm just hoping it doesn't go the "all her family members lose their gifts" route. It is a troupe that is easily underwhelming and really feel like a forces drama.
