I like how the music in the Jason Lives trailer begins to sound slightly like the original Child's Play theme--it's also very similar to New Blood's theme, which is underrated as Hell.
Each series of movies is true to it's time: the campy 80s, the bold yet primitive CGI 90s and the electric loud 2000s. These make me appreciate something I really never thought about: with so many movies you have to get increasingly clever in your trailers. It was like a sitcom that lost it's main star in the 5th season (the censors cracked down on the gore around part 5) and they had to try to keep it going. Part 6 brought the OG back, part 7 puts him against super powers and part 8 just changed locations. Like a 9 year old TV show it was feeling stale by 1989. I loved the new line reboots but the paramount series will always be special to me.
Jason takes Manhattan. was more like Jason takes a cruise ship. since he was only in New York the last 25 minutes of the movie . / It was the last movie under the Paramount label
Great video. I love the Friady the 13th movies all the way upto Jason takes Manhattan. Everything after that was not very good. Freddy and Jason are the best horror flicks that stands the test of time. Now a days, theres just too much technology that makes movies boring these days.

I only wish everyone got to see Friday the 13th Part 3 - 3D in theaters the way it was originally meant to be seen. Movie changed my life.
I watched in 3D and it was my first 3D film in the movie theater. It was awesome and I will never forget the experience. I was 11.
