- With the band's permission I'd like to do a high resolution version of this and hopefully have it stand as the official video. This video is in no way in association with Band of Horses. I do not have permission to use this track. This video is just for fun. I used footage shot by my grandfather between the late 1930s through the 1970s.

Nice video. I really like the old footage. For some reason this song and "I Go to the Barn because I like the" always make me emotional. I don't know what it is, but they are very beautiful songs, and Band of Horses is a great band.

i must say. first off band of horses has nothing to do with this video. so if you're calling ME and artist...thanks. this has nothing to do with race. this is archival footage. i found these reels in my grandfather's closet and had it transfered to tape, digitized and uploaded to the world wide web. it's a glimpse into the lives of hard working americans of long ago. something most amercians today know nothing about. please don't label this racist. it's not.

I visited the Stone Pony to see Band of Horses and this was the first song of their set. It was an emotional experience to say the least, because there was a time I would sit in a dark room of my apartment deep into a bottle of liquor listening to their record and I thought this song was beautiful. That was un till I spent over a year sober and drove 320 miles roundtrip to an area that I as unfamiliar with no one I knew to watch them play for the first time. They sound even better live, the tickets are worth every penny if you ever consider going.
