No such luck. Even an R8 couldn’t keep up with an F1 car, never mind an old Audi TT. Face it, Clarkson, those F1 cars have 740 bhp, which is more than a Lamborghini Aventador. To keep up with an F1 car in a road-faring workhorse, we’re talking a Bugatti Veyron at a minimum.

I love the Rocket Car now that I’m older though, might be useless to a kid but it’s the perfect Level 1 bonus car once you know how to avoid exploding.
I love the added detail of the revs briefly pausing/dropping when the transmission upshifts. Never noticed that in-game!
There's a setting in the sound configuration for the vehicles than can adjust how long the revs drop for each shift. For the higher-performance vehicles, it's shorter than the lower-performance ones suggesting the faster ones have a better clutch and transmission. Agreed that it's a nice detail, especially for the time.

It seems this video was just chosen by RUclips's algorithm to be recommended; I was able to find this with my new channel without searching it up and not really watching much Simpsons content. First of all, thank you for your support! It is much appreciated. Secondly, I wish to answer questions I predict some people asking or already see in the comments.
Q: Where's the ATV, Fish Van, and Zombie Car.?
A: Their top speeds are 125, 120, and 160 respectively. This was simply due to my own negligence and I apologize, and I thank user, "Carl Johnson" testing and informing curious viewers.
Q: Are you going to upload any more Simpsons: Hit and Run videos?
A: I am no longer planning do to anything with this channel. Long story short, this channel wasn't really meant to be popular as it currently is. This was a 'subsidiary' channel to a group my high school friends created that has since been shelved, and the vast majority of content on this channel was "filler". Q: How'd you get the unused and unplayable vehicles?

Q: Why are the vehicles named differently in the video?
A: Some of the vehicles are based off of real world models, some have specific owners, some are named differently in the ".con" files, and others I was just feeling 'different'. Looking back, I should've just put their regular names however.
Q: Is this in Miles Per Hour, or Kilometers Per Hour?
A: The game inside the ".con" files states that it is indeed KPH and this is reinforced by the Audi TT's top speed being 220 KPH, which is closer to its real world top speed of of 217 KPH for the 1.8L Turbo model and 253 KPH for the 3.2L NAsp model. However it's hard to believe a Ferrari, Formula One, and freakin' Rocket powered car only go 100 MPH, 124 MPH, and 155 MPH respectively. I personally like to imagine miles per hour just because it seems more accurate to me, but I think canonically it's kilometers per hour.

you came up on my reccomended as simpsons hit and run is a game that this year has seemed to be popular to watch on youtube for nostalgia nerds like me and ive been playing it myself so its fun to see this stuff
Recommended: Test the fish van after the station wagon
Test the ATV after the limo
Test the Zombie car after the Hover Car
Oh and please know that the Hover car is actually 160 because when I tested that vehicle I got to 159 and it stayed at 159

Is it interesting. I haven't done any speed trials in a while in this game, but I remembered the car resetting when you hit mach 1 (with cheats of course). I find that odd now that the speeds are in kph (760kph translates to a 472 and some change).
Just an interesting quirk to an already interesting game!

I just finished this game legend a week ago on my PS2, I completed it 100%, gem of a game
3 am here, watching this.
For some reason this game looked a lot more HD and realistic in my yead thinking out the days i used to play this game.
If you can't complete the game use action replay to unlock all cars and outfits and levels
The amount of people saying do you get the unused cars through a mod. When true gamers know it's a cheat if you 100% the game.
Wdym? The only cheat car i know is the Red Brick or Lego car you can have with a cheat code, you mean that i can play all these cars if i have 100% and i had a few times some games with 100%

Yeah, honestly I thought when I first got to level 5, and saw that thing, I was excited smash peds and cars around, but yeah looking back at other cars. this one and the rc car are the slowest cars in the game not counting the car husk.
Ha the black ferrari was the same speed as car built for homer the bandit and the hearse But the open wheel race car and rocket car has the highest top speeds. And even the black ferrari is faster than the red one
Rager toughness slows things down ig cause they weigh more, weaker cars control much better with every other stat than toughness

I never seen that second last one before
It is an unused and hidden vehicle that's hidden away in game files. Probably a test vehicle or a left-over from early development when real-world vehicles were included in the mix of cars. There's several mods that exist that restore it. For this, I simply added the sound from the Sports Car B (used by AI cars), and put it in the phonebooth.

The Electaurus is slept on. If you're careful in your driving, it's lower toughness isn't an issue and you can do early missions with ease.

No there's a cheat code once you 100% the game.
In the intro it actually shows you homer driving Apus level secret car. This pissed me off as you need to cheat to achieve this and I would try all sorts of stupid ways to make the car appear in homers level.
I wonder why some vehicles turn left or right when going in a straight line.
It's an oddity that virtually all bonus vehicles have. It's indeed strange, and I cannot find anything in the vehicle files that would cause this to happen. For all of these, I just pressed forward.
Also, thank you for testing the vehicles I missed and telling people asking in the comments what their top speeds are.

Wait, how did you get characters like Apu and Marge in the car with daytime homer? I've used the longhorn for the time trial race in level 1 multiple times and never has Apu appeared. Is there a cheat for it? I've only ever been able to get Apu to appear in levl 7.

This game has some pretty surprising engine sounds like a V12 ambulance, a V6 muscle car and a V10 clown car. Guess the real life Crusty is cruising in an M5 E60.
I think you’d find the updated video I did to this interesting. I took the time to find what every car resembles most closely in real life and I put that information in the video, including the engine of the real life car. For me, it was really interesting comparing the sound to the engine it theoretically could’ve used. The link can be found in the description or pinned comment if you’d like. I agree that the game’s engine sounds are good but could be a bit... “misleading” I guess for lack of better term lmao.

Cheat codes, u can look them up online.
Either mods or a certain cheat code that can only be used after beating the game 100%.

You can get them either with mods if you have it on PC, or the 'unlock all cars' cheat when you 100% the game.

Snake's Bandit is a Dodge Charger.
Yah i was far off but i figured out the combination of the car it has a cuda rear gtx side and a dodge 500a fornt with a road runner chorme bumper and snakes bandit is a 69 charger
It looks more like a Barracuda than a Challenger, especially the rear lights

im curios if the burnout start giving u more than just top speed? or just insane acceleration
Burnouts merely increase the acceleration drastically. If you perform one on top of a downhill location with a quick accelerating car, you might be able to get above top speed, but it will quickly go back down.

I don’t think anyone has reached top speed for ones above like 4 stars legitimately, it’s a fairly pointless stat given how tight the maps are.
We’re all here to see what that rocket car can get to, we’ve all blown it up while trying to get out of the driveway.

Complete 100% and when you do, activate that bonus cars cheat code depending on what console you play and scroll through 4 of those cars with different antenna sounds

This game is way better than cyberpunk 2077
So Pizza Van has a higher top speed than Surveillance Van, interesting. It makes sense when you think about it, Pizza Van doesn’t have the big parachute on top.
