we didn’t have hit and run on our ps2, but we had road rage. i remember staying up for hours playing road rage attempting to get a new high score against my brothers and get all the characters and complete all the missions

Yeah, I remember dying of laughter over this game as a kid, the funny lines and how easy it was to throw cars people and objects around and the gameplay was enough to keep me entertained

Road rage was the perfect driving sandbox of Springfield. Lots of Easter eggs, lots of depth to the many maps. I remember fondly doing stunt jumps and hide and seek with friends during head to head, roleplaying the town and characters, etc. Great game, great memories.
Playing hide and seek in Head to Head was the real reason I used to love this game. Forget the Crazy Taxi gamemode, what I used to do on my own in between multiplayer bouts was scope out new hiding spots in Sunday Drive. I only wish that Hit & Run had a multiplayer mode as well. The maps in that game would have been great for hide and seek.
the map was great, yeah. I remember one time in middle school I was sleeping over a friend's house and I drove around for like five minutes to show him the downtown building that said "LIVE NUDE GIRLS" or something like that. He was like "so... what's the big deal". This was also the friend who first introduced me to porn 🤣🤣

You’re overrating the game, it’s literally just crazy taxi, you’re being blinded by nostalgia.
Don't forget the cheat codes. Although it doesn't save your progress, you could drive Mr. Burns' limo or one of those nuclear buses.

Yeah Simpsons Wrestling isn't the worst game I played but I'm not saying it's good basically if I had to rate it I would say probably a 2 or 3 out of 10 which is still bad but I was able to play Simpsons Wrestling, Simpsons Skateboarding I wasn't really able to play, While I will agree with you that the Simpsons Wrestling had weird controls but you can actually play it, If you want to know a way worse game try playing Dark Castle for the Sega Genesis or Action 52 for the NES. But my point is that you can actually play the Simpsons Wrestling while Dark Castle and Action 52 you're pretty much punishing yourself.
I LOVED THIS GAME LOL. I would play when I was really young for hours and just drive around, occasionally pick up people but there's a bunch of little places such as the school and church that I remember being really fun to drive through.
I used to search for ways to glitch the game in Sunday Drive mode.
I loved this game too but I thought this video was hilarious 😂

I remember playing the head to head mode of this game at a party as a kid against a bunch of other kids i'd just met. I pulled off the greatest last minute clutch chasing down my opponent, jumping to land on top of him about 10m before the destination and reaching it first. Don't know how this memory has stuck with me so long!

Exploring and the enviornment destruction was great, really was impressive seeing the sinpsons world come to life with voice acting and everything. Without H&R at the time this game was pretty cool.
I knew I wasn't crazy!! I remember playing this when I was a kid but I could never remember anything about it other than picking people up and smashing through bits of glass. I was so young that I had no idea what to do, or, even what the game was about, I just remember breaking everything.
So glad my mind can be put to rest, I thought I was going crazy having played a game that never existed, never heard anyone else talk about it.

This game is extremely nostalgiac for me. I played it a lot when I was real young and I didn't even know who the Simpsons were. Hell I started playing it before I could read! You're probably right on the quality of the game, but I remember having a lot of fun just adventuring in Sunday Drive mode.

Never got to play Hit & Run, so this was the only Simpsons game I lived with, and I loved it for what it was ❤ However, I do have to say that the last time I played this game was when I was 9 and I only had about 10 games to play with when I was young so you know that I had to made the best out of what they were worth. I'd still love to play the game again, but I don't know if my parents already sold it or it's in an old box collecting dust. God, this game brings back so many memories

It's a matter of taste, but I prefer _Hit & Run_ as it is a more narrative and diverse game.
This game was my childhood! Me and my sister played this for hours on end. We didn't even play it like you're supposed to. We just pretended the people we picked up were our friends or family and we would each pick a house to live at. We would try to drive like normal people and stuff too. We rented hit n run a few times and that game was miles better and I always wanted it, but never got it. It blew my mind when I was a kid.

Also, no wonder Sega sued, they pretty much copied all of Crazy Taxi and put a Simpsons skin on it. Wow.
If someone curses me out, so help me God I will go in my grave. Simpson's Road Rage is actually good both PS2 and Game Boy Advance. I dont mind the graphics and gameplay as long as I have fun. I admit though that Simpson's: Hit and Run is better than Road Rage. That was one of my favorite games from childhood.

I still play Road Rage, Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi on my PS2 pretty often. As a single player, I find both Hit & Run and Crazy Taxi to be more fun than Road Rage. But Road Rage has something the others do not: a fun two-player option. Playing head-to-head and trying to steal the passenger from each other as you near the destination makes for some hilariously tense banter.

Me and my friends played this a few years back. The game was a bit boring so what we did was made our own game in it. There was a pedestrian we kept seeing a load, we named her Sheela. We saw her so much that we made the game hit Sheela (In Sunday Drive). Every time we saw her we HAD to hit her. Sounds cruel but it was really quite fun.

I wrote to playstation on their section for recommended re makes and explained to them into as many letters as i was allowed as to why they should re make it. That was 6 years ago no reply and as of yet no remakes
I'm not sure about a remake but I'm all for backwards compatibility

Technically, there is an exclusive cutscenes only available for gamecube and xbox when you reach 1M, its about aliens playing the road rage game and saying they are bored.
Dude when my brother got this game we both thought our game was broken because of that loading screen, we legitimately waited for ages on it and nothing happened. Finally our parents just returned it and we got the GBA game instead.

But how do you feel about The Simpsons Game? People tend to give that one a lot of crap, but it only comes in second to Hit & Run for me. I definitely prefer the animation of that game and the exploration, since you can actually enter buildings and have a lot more interactivity. Sadly the world is small and there's nothing to do besides activate other levels...

The game was genuinely fun in Sunday drive mode. It was the first game I ever played with destructible objects and reasonably good physics for said objects. Of course now GTA does that even better.
They should remake the Simpsons skateboarding game, but make it good.

it was a great game as a child, but then again everything is when you aren't bitter and pure. As we get older ofcoarse we see things in a different light, i dont think it was half bad tho for its time.

The Crazy Taxi game loop is only realistic on its most base level - pick up passenger, drop off passenger, get money (+ time). However the driving is the opposite of a simulation game (it’s awesome). If you haven’t played Crazy Taxi, I recommend it highly
As an arcade game, it would work. Its entirely based on Crazy Taxi, which was an arcade game in the 90's. Even then the game was still good on Dreamcast because it had enough deep mechanics to learn and master, and had way more missions than Road Rage had.

What I loved about this as a kid was how the stuff you destroyed would stay destroyed lol (unlike in Hit & Run). So I barely played the Road Rage mode or the missions (although I did eventually beat the game). Instead, I just played Sunday Drive and drove around the map until every lamppost, mailbox, and fire hydrant was completely obliterated
I grew up with both of those games. I have a more nostalgic attachment to Road Rage than Hit and Run. I've gotten all cars unlocked a while back.

When I was in elementary school my best friend told me “you have to get the Simpson game where you drive around!” So I figured he meant Road Rage and when I bought it I was like hey man how do you get out of the car? Turns out I bought the wrong one! Didn’t stop me from sinking a lot of hours into it though. Good times.
