The most interesting facts regarding Babymetal is they were an accident!! Key Kobayashi aka Kobametal wanted to try merging Jpop with Metal. He was a huge fan of X Japan and Luna Sea. He found Suzuka Nanamoto in the Jpop trio Karen's Girls which was due to disband. He got her in Sakura Gakuin and there was Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi for "Dance and Scream" (their words). There was no thoughts at the "Heavy Metal Club" would last longer than the girls time at Sukura Gakuin. In the beginning they got no support from Asume and for their first video they scrambled to have matching costumes and the support dancers were taught the dancing by Yui and Moa who were 11 yo. Babymetal WORKED beyond anything they could have imagined. Just an idea with 3 girls who are hugely talented with an unmatched charisma. Been of "The One" since 2017. Now we are ready for a new era of Babymetal with 2 talented beautiful women!!!
Babymetal is just pure audio joy - as good as a shot of espresso from the mouth of a beautiful stranger. That metaphor was weird, but I stand by it..sort of. Anyway, jealous of your getting to see them but happy for you too.

I was there ヽ(^o^)丿 During the two new songs, the audience were blown away and did not figure out what to do in the fresh emotion. Once this song got started, everyone regained usual energy. Yeah! We shouted, moved and clapped our hands according to the direction by Su, Moa and Momoko.
⚡ 💕 / ☀ Both of the concerts in that compilation video had Kano Fujihira as the supporting dancer. Like Su and Moa before her, Kano was Sakura Gakuin President during her senior year. She's now a member of the JPop group @onefive, along with three other Sakura Gakuin graduates.
The crowds in some of those shots are absolutely huge! I've seen them live already, a few years ago, the first tour after Yui left, which made it bitter-sweet. I so wish I could somehow see them live in Japan one day, that would be a dream come true. So glad you get to see them on European tour, I hope its the best concert ever! Kitsune dao!

I'm going to see them in Berlin 😊, anyway Distortion was the first single released from Metal Galaxy, way before the album and during the YUI crisis, so the official MV doesn't feature any of the girls, and opened the Dark Era. Lyrics are more explicit than before, the growling was provided by Alissa White-Gluz for the album version, and I think the backtrack used for live shows after the release of Metal Galaxy. Yeah, the drumming is quite heavy, I liked it a lot live as both Aoyama and Barone added some nuances of their own. 🤘🦊⚡️
