I don't think I will ever understand the people that complain about Daniel changing the way he sounds, or the comments saying "Bring back the old Aesthetic Perfection". To me, its still Daniel, still the same AP. I'd rather have an artist who plays whats in their heart instead of a "performer" who plays a song because they know it'll be popular, but they have no passion for their music.
Won't disagree there, but I really loved A Violent Emotion and All Beauty Destroyed the way they were produced was pretty top notch. Want to see more of that from him. Critics will be critics, but this just seems too Sappy? I guess, whereas those two albums mentioned seemed more of a "fuck you" industrial sort of feel. Btw Nice 'stang, own a '98 myself.
You missed the point of his comment though. Daniel is making the type of music that he feels and relates to. If he doesn't feel that angry, aggressive "fuck the world" sound all that often anymore then that will be reflected in his music. There are still plenty of bands with the sound you described if you want that. I personally enjoy all of that as well as the new AP.

I really agree with you. I do enjoy most of Daniels works, i really love how he works with his voice and variety in his music mean i can find just the perfect song from AP for my mood. It really dont matter to me, if it is older one, or this masterpiece. By the way, my most fav song is Fix.

hey daniel, i was that guy who told you that your that new music project was crappy. we had this dumb argument about how music should be created for the listener and i complained about aesthetic perfection and how i much wished that you would go back to necessary response. i wanted to apologize for that. i really enjoy your project now and listen to aesthetic perfection daily. keep writing dude.
I was someone that originally didn't care for the less aggressive sounding AP and thought he should keep Necessary Response and AP separate. It took a little time for me to get used to the way his sound was evolving to mix and also push beyond both individual styles, but I'm glad I kept giving it a chance because it's grown on me to the point that I look at the old AP as "good", but his evolved style as a form of apotheosis - a height that would be unobtainable without his own unique method of blending styles that I once felt skeptical about with those I loved.

I've listened to this for months on end, this is one of Aesthetic's best tracks but more than that the video portrays so much emotion and is exceptionally well done, can't see how it's got so few views this far after release.

I swear, every time I come back to this song/video, I always have different interpretations. I notice at 1:15, you're in attire from previous AP eras. I'm sensing that this song was written from a reflective perspective and I absolutely love the maturity behind it. It's a song that's aged so damn well and I think this is hands down my favorite AP song.
Consider the fact that it's part of the LAX Trilogy! It deals with the past, present and future!
This is extremely relatable for me. This is basically what I am like inside my head on a bad day.
Also relatable for me, though my inner world is closer to T.F.W.O. by Skinny Puppy. But lyrically, yeah. Almost spot on.
This, to me, is a perfect glimpse into the mind of a pathalogical narcissist. Run like hell from them, you can't fix them, but I can guarantee that they feel hollow, lost, and never truly happy. They will both wish for and resent your ability to empathise and connect with others in a way they can't. They need adoration and to drag you down because in their heart they feel worthless. They seem arrogant, but really, few people can have a poorer view of them than they themselves do. I don't regret leaving my malignant narcissist before he completely broke me, but I so wish that he could overwrite the "I am worthless, so I'll make you feel even lower than me" programming he was raised with.

I first stumbled on this song, and Aesthetic Perfection, in early March 2017. It helped me get through an overwhelmingly challenging period of my life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Once you've lived long enough or survived f'ing up enough times... you begin to understand some things. And they are dark things.
But if you can find that spark in the darkness, it all clears up even if you can't see five steps in front of you.
That spark, for me, is my son. The light and positivity he exudes forces me to think of the unpleasant and how to explain it to him.
Not now, but one day in the next few years.
Humanity learns through failure, pain, and deprivation. Concepts I would wish to spare him from, but doing so would consummate a much larger failure I couldn't stand creating for him.
So, he will one day know the realities of life. When he does I will be there to instruct him, support him, and love him. Until then, we will continue to pretend to be pokemon trainers in the kitchen. And I will continue to love every moment of it.
And to think at one time, before him, I thought I didn't want to be a dad. We can all be fools at any point in life I assume.

I think the video is a meta description of how Dissociative Identity Syndrome feels/looks for the person concerned. I do have
DIS and my life is like building every day a sandcastle, only that the castle is my selfesteem and the flood takes it always away... And the worst thing is the feeling of isolation even with people I like, like I am trapped in a bubble and no strategy(persona model) gets the feeling of connectedness lasting, that´s why I am always on the run for home, stranger in a strange land... And the only constant is the hurt beneath, and selfdestruct by abusing stuff...I think often about suicide.... THX 4 reading
