Me and my brother saw them at Lindemann and instantly turned into fans. We have been talking mostly about AP since that concert. Very unique experience!
I don't think I will ever understand the people that complain about Daniel changing the way he sounds, or the comments saying "Bring back the old Aesthetic Perfection". To me, its still Daniel, still the same AP. I'd rather have an artist who plays whats in their heart instead of a "performer" who plays a song because they know it'll be popular, but they have no passion for their music.
Won't disagree there, but I really loved A Violent Emotion and All Beauty Destroyed the way they were produced was pretty top notch. Want to see more of that from him. Critics will be critics, but this just seems too Sappy? I guess, whereas those two albums mentioned seemed more of a "fuck you" industrial sort of feel. Btw Nice 'stang, own a '98 myself.
You missed the point of his comment though. Daniel is making the type of music that he feels and relates to. If he doesn't feel that angry, aggressive "fuck the world" sound all that often anymore then that will be reflected in his music. There are still plenty of bands with the sound you described if you want that. I personally enjoy all of that as well as the new AP.
I really agree with you. I do enjoy most of Daniels works, i really love how he works with his voice and variety in his music mean i can find just the perfect song from AP for my mood. It really dont matter to me, if it is older one, or this masterpiece. By the way, my most fav song is Fix.
