☞ About the location
Bourscheid Castle is Luxembourg's largest, featuring distinctive round towers and standing dramatically on a steep promontory, 150 meters above the Sûre River. Likely constructed in the 10th century, it was expanded in the 14th and 15th centuries, including the addition of a fortress wall with six Gothic towers. Today, visitors can explore the castle with audio guides available in seven languages. The castle offers stunning views of the surrounding valley, and in the evening, its illumination creates a magical, fairy-tale atmosphere. Nearby, the Stolzembourg House, a beautiful Gothic manor built in 1348, adds to the area's historic charm.
