    Don't you want to keep the shank parallel to the long axis of the tooth? It looks like it is not completely parallel in the video.

    You should zoom out so we can see how you sit in relation to position to the patient and also when you flip the instrument

    Are these area specific Tracey if so then shouldn’t we be able to use these supragingivally aswell as subgingival

      Yes but typically they are used below the gumline. If you start below the gumline, you stay below the gumline in order to avoid gingival trauma.

      Graceys are used for pockets deeper than 5 mm subgingivally
