How to Read a CC-12 Probe (Marquis Probe)
Are there such things as hammer scalers?
Do you have an extra typodont to spare......I'm trying to get things for hygiene school to help take something off my cost 😅
We used it subgingival 💔🗿
Thank you! comepetencies coming i need some practice!
This is so helpful! Thank you so much
Can you be my instructor 😭😭😭
Which numbers were the columbia and the barnhart please?
Thank you
why do you only have the brush moving when its not on the tooth?
Because it's easier to keep a consistent speed then stopping and starting with every tooth.
It's a williams probe not an unc probe
I take about 15 min to complete a perio chart. What is a reasonable amount of time to do a full periodontal chart including bleeding/exudate/recession?
Thank you ❤
Tilt the probe 5min after 12 o’clock gives a accurate probing? Because all the videos I see it’s says that the probe has to be parallel to the long axis of the tooth. So I’m king of confused. I appreciate if you help me to understand this.
You have to drop into the col which is only achieved by tilting the probe under the contact.
You are correct - you must NOT tilt the probe. It gives incorrect reading.
The root tapers in a conical shape “ice cream cone” you have to tilt probe slightly so you remain in contact with the root. If you do not you will have an incorrect reading.
Great Video. However, It will be great if you could redo the Autoclaving Sterilizing video the next time you use the equipment. Things were out of focus at times. Thanks btw.
I cant watch you. You make no sense to the normal person. You dont define anterior or posterior. You keep saying turn the scraper really fast but youre not turning it really fast. It doesnt look like youre accomplishing anything. Youre just scraping the crap from one place to another on what appear pretty white teeth. Use a model with stains on it so we can see it actually removing crap.
Thank you. This video helps when im teaching because we dont have an autoclave in the class
You should zoom out so we can see how you sit in relation to position to the patient and also when you flip the instrument
Hi..can we use to sterilize microbiology plates
my dentist damaged my gum cause it bleed at that time on one tooth and those gums has recedded where that happened , i changed my dentist and this guy used something called as ultrasonic cleaner to clean which was safer and more impactfull.Better safe than sorry , god know why they still teaching this outdated and unsafe procedures.
Looking for info on how to clean our own teeth at home. We got shafted by our dental clinic after they lost all their dental staff and now they’ve gone to a lottery system. They are the only dentist within 1.5 hrs that takes our state insurance. Sooo I guess we need to learn how to clean plaque off at home. It’s been over 2 years since our last cleaning and we do take good care of our teeth but I see plaque building up between our teeth and the sensation of it is driving me crazy! It can’t be that hard to learn how to scrape small amount of plaque off of teeth.
Get a job so you don't need state insurance.
@@ComelordJesus777 Funny how the majority of welfare goes to Red states. Your party should take your advice.
i swallowed some when my braces was out on will i be okay?
Hello, according to kriss ai Swallowing a small amount of fluoride varnish during application is generally safe. It is used in minimal amounts during dental treatments, within safe limits. However, if you experience discomfort or have health concerns, consult your dentist or healthcare provider.
@@rienne89 that's good to know. Btw what is kriss?
@@ryanfajardo4364 it's an ai dental assistant, you should check it out!

@@allisondarcy Theres a website!
thanks, I was able to easily clean off a dark streak on my tooth without having to go to the dentist(I get cleanings every 6 months)
Cleanings are always booked by dental offices near me so this helps just bought a dental kit on Amazon and saw the reviews I used to do my own cleanings years ago but never learned how to do it professionally just used common sense (didn't have RUclips vids like these)
This is not the correct way to use this instrument for anterior teeth.
It depends on where you went to school. Some schools teach the shank is parallel, some teach that the shank wraps across or around. There is no right or wrong way with this instrument.
Yeah my professors have taught us very differently.
What does Coda want ?
Don't you want to keep the shank parallel to the long axis of the tooth? It looks like it is not completely parallel in the video.
I was wondering the same!
With the SC 13/14 when you swap from surfaces towards to surfaces away to you flip the instrument?
Yes you do.
how do you scale your back molars (those are really hard for me to do)
Thank you so much ❤❤
Thoroughly explained! Thank you!
😁
to the people who can’t afford dental care in the USA: many dental schools will offer cleanings for around 20 dollars, because students need to practice doing supervised cleanings. check your community college or local university/dental school
Yes.. just got mine done for 10bucks
omg thank you. been well over a decade with no dentistry done but no crazy issues.
Luna thanks

I want to know how you got fake plaque on those fake 🦷! Cus it looks real af lol
I Litteraly just found out what an autoclave was today…
Great video! The only concern I have is the clinician uses the dirty utility gloves to transfer clean instruments to the clean area, this makes the outside of the sterilizing bags contaminated.
Yeah, I hate when I see people think gloves are clean when they touch other things. When covid happened, I watched this lady touch a person's burger bun, then the handle of the flipper, put her finger on the top of the burger when she slid it off the flipper tool. Then take the person's money and touch the buttons of the cash register, all with the same gloves!! I walked out and haven't eaten there since! The place was FIVE GUYS!!!
@@Endoe.McKronic Only in the medical field would we notice those tiny details that just annoy the crap out of us! Good eye!
Although it seems cringe and yes should be changed, as long as your hands or gloves are not wet (transferring germs through the paper) it’s actually fine. What we are concerned about is the inside of the package. The inside is considered sterile, the outside is not sterile, nor does it need to be. I do get your sentiment, I like our employees to carry the packages in a clean container and not in their hands.
@@maryannebryce5210 if you contaminate the outside of the instrument pack and then you go and set those packs on the "clean" side of sterilization, you're cross contaminating. Also think about when those packs are placed on a tray when setting up for a procedure, you're again contaminating the tray that you are about to put those sterilized instruments on. This is bad practice. You should never touch sterilized packs of instruments with the same gloves you just touched contaminated instruments and packs with.
@@kristinvergano5524 true. However, I never put a package on a tray. I always drop them from 6 inches above or pill back and the sterile hand takes the contents out, so only the inside of the package is touching the tray. I am not suggesting soiling the outside of the package. I am suggesting that sterile technique is applied to the inside of the package. As the outside of the package is not sterile. But yes, should remain clean.
Integrated strip is put in centre of autoclave
Integrator strip has metal backing and white indicator we put initials dates monitoring purpose nd we put in the autoclave?
Why was indicator strip used for?
Why are radioactive materials, solvents, corrosive materials, carcinogen containing materials, not autoclavable? I have interview this Wednesday 😐
Can I use this right before I go to sleep and brush it off the next morning ?
Yes you can..
Nice
