      @@scarto3887 I know the karambit was made designed for combat, but the specific one in the video is not, and the "demo" was just for show, you can see it barely does any damage. I never said letter openers need locking mechanisms, I said that this knife wasn't made for and will probably never see combat. And I'm not a fictional character, I'm just a guy that has batman as his profile pic and name, I would have changed but Adam West died and now it feels wrong to change it

      Well if he decided to forge the parts instead of cutting them out then he would have needed to hammer, but it's easier and faster to just cut them out though that comes at the cost of wasted cut of material

      One of mine invented the machine that makes pre-tied bows, the ones that are on gifts.
      I can’t remember if it was the plastic or real fabric ones. Also his name is not on the patent because he sold it to someone else.

    No blade lock in the open position. The first time that collapses on your finger is going to be painful.

      with how it closes there isn't space for the fingers to get caught on the blade even if it did slip, worst case would be a pinch on the palm of your hand.

      It’s a design taken by the ones crkt makes. It’s designed like that cause for the specific intention of not having a blade that can collapse on your fingers. I mean it’s very clear that it can’t fold on your finger s

    Technically, this would be legal to carry in the UK as it doesn’t lock open and is less than 3”. Very nice.

    Offset the front arms from the rear arms just a fraction. Thats how the CRKT has such a nice crisp deployment. Just a suggestion. But I gotta say beautiful work.

      本来刃を付ける向きが逆

    I notice the way it opens and closes may effect actual practical use of it in a fighting/self defense scenario. Maybe add a form of locking mechanism? It’s still really cool looking, and the way it folds is pretty cool

      Its a burn mark from setting your arm down on something hot after welding or grinding. I've got the same marks on my arms after doing it

    Looks like a copy of the CRKT Folding Karambit design, except their mechanism has a safety lock.

      @@JathTech patents lawyers might have a different perspective. I guess he might get away with it since his version is a crudely made product made of crappy scrap metal, where crkt at least puts d2 in theirs and has a locking mechanism, right?

      Yeah but at least it’s not a direct copy of the caswell design, he made it his own way. And I’m sure there are a lot of people that watch videos like this that aren’t into pocket knives and tactical knives.

    Please add credits for the design and mechanism. Joe Caswell is a pillar of the knife community, he deserves recognition for his ingenuity. Well excecuted build, but please - add credits to avoid looking like a doofus.

      Why credit someone else when you can plead ignorance, since 99% of the people that watched this video don't know who Joe Caswell is or have never seen the CRKT Provoke, which Caswell licensed to CRKT to manufacture? I bet if you look hard enough, you'll find plenty of rip-offs in this person's videos with 0 credit given.
