Stelantis plans to electricfy the Dodge Chalenger and Charger, so the current models will be discontinued. Will this be the end of Dodge as they have no other models in their lineup.
There's the Dodge Hornet (it's an Alfa Romeo underneath though), and for now, the Durango. Dodge hasn't said anything about the future of the Durango though.
@@damilolaakanni Stelantis hasn't revealed anything for the Chrsyler brand either as far as I know. All they have is the ancient 300 which is on the chopping block and the Pacifica minivan which is not a hot market. I have a feeling Chrysler will be axed entirely in the coming years.
In case you were not aware there is 2 versions of the R/T. One is a silver badge with premium sound, nav, "bling" steering wheel controls. Second is Red R/T which comes with embroidered R/T leather and suede bucket seats chrome clad 245/45/r20, bigger rotors, performance packaged w/suspension.
I've driven a 2006 Charger Srt with over 300,000km and it ran like a beast everytime I hit the gas hard. So I recommend getting that than the RT or Sxt however the interior design is the same. Stuff gets broken and loose so I do agree what he said on the video.
That is the experience with most cars used that much and for more than 10 years when daily driven to be honest…including European ones…the Japanese are the only one that, in certain cases, truly withstand daily abuse for years with a big smile on their face

It's not like the original chargers weren't sedans. They were 2 doors but the same body came in 4 doors with different panels. They had back seats. If it has to be a manual and 2 door guess what they make the challenger. I wish they made a hybrid version of the newer ones with the 8 speed hybrid but I guess they would have to redesign the floor and do more crash testing so that's not going to happen.

The platform is not an Eclass. It is a completely Chrysler created platform derived from the LH platform. The suspension (is actually Eclass) and transmission are benz
You never see first gen Chargers any more. They got cheap fast and became the 'hood car of choice. They weren't built well and most were driven into the ground. It's not a bad looking design but it's showing its age. I'm more of a Challenger fan. Dodge could have made the Challenger its G-Wagen. Keep the body in production for 40 years with only minor updates. It's already on its fourth US President. At least with their new EV they understand that sound is part of the muscle car experience. You have to admire Dodge for sticking with V8 go brrrr so long.
I see tons of 1st gen Chargers around me, and a lot of them are clean. I also occasionally see some Magnums. Sadly, a few of the Chargers are developing rust on the wheel wells.
@@hakeemsd70m Rust usually comes in first at the top and forward of the rear wheel well lips and the rocker panels. That goes for the 300 and Magnum too.
