Machine needle 18 number, upar jeans ka dhaga hai aur bobbin mein regular cotton polyester stitching thread hai.
Did you l double fold the hem or? U first folded it then folded the it to hide the unfinished fabric?
I folded it twice to hide unfinished fabric.

Which needle did you use? And is it a must you use a needle of the same company as sewing machine? What about the thread can u send me a link of which threads u buy cause am new in sewing and have less experience in thread as some are not good and I can't differentiate while buying.
For denim use 18 number needle, for cotton use 16 number. You don't need to use same company/ brand needle but the needle should be compatible.

Ok size 30 needle and what if it's a polyster thread I want? Will it still be same size as cotton. My machine is singer 4423 . How will I know if the needle is compatible?

Use Polyester thread amzn.to/3eVMzhZ. Links are for your reference only, you can buy these things from your local sewing supplies shop as well.
