  • The Tundra is expected for 2022, but there are rumors going around that it will be a "World Beater" and "Go toe to toe with the domestics". I'm not sure about it, but let's find out as I discuss the rumors, spy shots and compare it with the Ford F150.

    One interesting thing is, Way more F150 owner than tundra owner, but that small group of people the voice way louder than F150 owners, "I take tundra all day" they so proud of it. But the true is what F150 offer is very hard to bet.

    I bought my 2019 Tundra 1794 brand new.. (pre-pandemic) because i knew Toyota was going to dump the 5.7 V8 which is pretty much bulletproof since 2007. I’m very skeptical of what is to come in the future. And the fact that Nobody and i mean NOBODY knows any solid truth of what’s to come. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing happens and the redesign is pushed back yet another year, maybe 2.

    The truck numbers probably won't come close to the big 3 but I do see them getting closer for sure. I just hope they don't price themselves out of the market. When I sold Chevrolet's several years ago there were MANY people that wanted to buy the Toyota but ended up settling for the Chevy due to the price. With all this new technology, that price spread will be even larger and I think hit sales numbers a good bit after the first year excitement over the new Tundra is past. The domestic dealers always negotiate down several thousand dollars when Toyota dealers rarely negotiate at all.
    Cheers...

    It will blow away the domestics. It already does in reliability. The others are pricing themselves out of the market with idiotic up to 80k halftons. Fleet sales make up a lot of the big 3 sales especially ford. Toyota is quality and people keep them for long term. There not out for quantity like the big 3. There not out to be number 1 in sales. It's to be the best halfton and I feel they are for what a truck is meant to be. Not a luxury car with a bed. They last a very long time and are reliable thats why i won't drive the big 3 anymore. They always break down and need big repairs. Tundra will easily go 300k without major repairs as long as you do your maintenance. Big 3 can't. I know from Years of experience with them. When the tundra got to full size I never looked back at the big 3.

  • @randyjackson347
    @randyjackson347 3 года назад

    Toyota is not in tune with her customer base.. They produce what they want to and what they want you to drive.. It took them until 2020 to put a power seat in a top trim Tacoma which was a ridiculous.. They still have the real drum braking system on the Tacoma which is something from the early nineties as well.. When will they ever update that? It is too bad that one of the best auto companies is also one of the most backwards as well when it comes to much needed relevant changes..🙄

    This video is woefully laden with so many inaccuracies or gaffes, alongside credible statements. I'm disappointed with how you other YTubers take so many things out of context.
    Luckily I'm "retired", in focusing on my professional career and favor anonymity.

    • @GTContent
      @GTContent  3 года назад +1

      I would like to know the confirmed details you have.
      Making bold statements and "retiring" with "anonymity" without any evidence makes the discussion rather hollow.

      @@GTContent Unlike you, I have to follow strict NDAs and contractual agreements concerning such matters. I would point out my issues with your video, but they are too lengthy to list (my style of writing is elaborate)
      I do not vlog about cars anymore, in now being an automotive industry professional based in Detroit and Texas, that leaking information is subject to serious penalty.
      Nor is it favored for me to discuss subject matters, best left for marketing personnel to narrate. (C-of-I)
      I mentioned "retired" from YT, as it is better to remain faceless in my capacity than easily recognized by those above you in a higher or the highest tier of executive management.
      I just wish that the rest of you on YT or in media, 100% did your homework thoroughly and left no room for easy errors, that others take as fact.
      For instance, the updated XK50 Tundra has been in production and on sale since 2013. It was introduced to the public in February 2013. XF50 has been in production since Nov 2006, not 2007 and was announced in early February 2006.
      If you are making such simple mistakes all over, I start losing my attention span and questioning the credibility almost immediately. I cross and dot all my T's and I's.
      For me, I know for one there is 3.5TT and 3.5TT w/hybrid on luxury/halo trims. Where did LS500h 8GR-FXS powertrain even come from?
      See why I wouldn't be somewhat put off by mistakes in the video, influencing the views of those who don't even know what's happening?
      They are understandable mistakes as you don't know, but the other stuff can be easily researched by you.
      780B Tundra program is not to be discussed loosely nor is Sequoia 660B. The same applies to other programs like 2024 Tacoma and 2023 4Runner, as well as another TNGA-F entrant under the Toyota badge.
      I tried leaking information last year and it blew up in my face, from being taken out of context by my ghost writer and by secondary and third party copycats muddling my information.
