Good point there! It's super inspiring and heartwarming that they not only respect each other, but are good friends, too! Friendships like that should be celebrated and cherished! That said, under certain (especially extreme) political or religious beliefs, you can either be indoctrinated to *think* that the "other side" are murderers or horrible in some way... or they may actually be terrible, if *they're* indoctrinated. The problem lately is that there's a lot of both, but more of the former, and with social media and news the water can very quickly get muddied. Kinda "silting out" the cave of ideas, lol. It's hard to tell what's real for many people, but they have a strawman of what a person who believes a certain idea is like, and that strawman is usually built by people in the group that hates them, not based on reality. Basically, I don't think nazis deserve to have their beliefs respected lol, but a lot of people throw around accusations of that sort of thing at people who have just been indoctrinated into certain talking points but aren't actually fascists, despite the way they vote... and part of cult psychology is feeling like the "others" are all out to get you (and your loved ones). We absolutely can't tolerate intolerance (and I don't think that's a paradox), but we also have to be careful not to help wall people off into their political cults. It's really hard right now, and I don't think we were prepared for social media as a species or society. That said, rich people owning mainstream media divides people too, and is also a huge issue that has gotten worse alongside social media growing and causing problems. I don't think social media is inherently bad, I like it, it's not going anywhere, but we *need* to learn more about mental hygiene and how to stop the spread of infectious cult-like extreme ideas, etc. Then I think it will be easier to have respectful differences in beliefs among friends. I think it really helps that the beliefs that are different between Gus and Woody are generally fairly non-political, whatever that means lol. Sorry for the long rant, Christmas with the family always gets me feeling some kinda way 😅
I want to believe....x-files. The eel called the octopus and cleaned his house by removing the intruders. The octopus just helped. The eel took out one...and the octopus took out the other. The part that no one heard the octopus speak to the eel was: "If they stay here...more "humans" will come to disturb and destroy our house to rescue these two humans." Amen. And the eel replied: Let's make them believe it was a miracle, but no...it was an alien act. Translated with DeepL /Translator (free version)
@@VerMirror Exactly. Science is actually incapable of disproving the existence of God (you can't definitively disprove the existence of anything, physical or spiritual, using the scientific method) which is why the people who act like it does should educate themselves. A scientist who hears an account of something that allegedly happened should first ask himself possible ways it could have happened, not definitively claim that it could not.
Love it! Not 30 seconds into the video and Gus already has the "oh come on now" disbelief facial expression and Woody is nodding as if to say "yeah I totally believe you" 🤣
yeah you all cannot believe in a god. you all want to believe in books, written from persons which you never met, not reproducible for anyone. But yeah, science bitch
19:50 "I feel bad for the eel now". Woody is such a gentle soul. I would love to train with you guys. You're both such ying and yang. A balance like that is so important to me
They disturbed the den of the Sea God / Moray eel. They tried to take from him, and when they offered their spoils back to him, the Moray, sought mercy on these two divers, and brought them out of that cave on his back. Then a magical rainbow sprung forth from the entrance of the cave, illuminating the entire coral bottom and eliminating all nitrogen bubbles from their blood before they surfaced. The two divers lived happily ever after.
“Do you?” 😂. Love it when Gus says that after the guy says, “I always weigh the risk versus benefit” ….after he does deep, no mount dive with partially filled tanks, and split up, hmmm.
@@DIVETALK Looks to me like this show was produced in the 1980's before everyone walked around with a stick up their ass. Nike's slogan "Just do it" came well after this. Today its "Just do it, as long as you follow every single rule, regulation and can fart while in the lotus position while raising your left butt cheek". Today is safer, back then the "rules" were just being figured out.
This is where we can delve into the concepts of "perceived" threats and hazards versus "actual" risk assessments... I ride a motorcycle 90% of everywhere I go. I have for decades, give or take... and what I consider a threat may very well be considerably different from what you consider a threat. I often remark that I meditate at 90 mph, and without kidding around or embellishing. It's exactly how I regard riding. Of course, it should go without saying that I believe in ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time) OR "Dress for the slide, not for the ride." and such, even while I wear my "Helmet Laws SUCK" T-shirts... I think the police NEED to have something more important to do than to bitch at me about fashion-sense versus survivability. AND I'm fully capable of determining my own risk vs, reward assessments for myself. Same should be said about scuba in general and underwater caving. You're responsible for your OWN risk assessment, no different. This is why training in caves and cave diving is so important... AND stick up or no stick up.... I'd prefer folks got training and GOOD practice for the sport of motorcycle riding, even though it's the same DMV for drivers as bikers, and the tests are a joke, largely... at least in my state. I'd just prefer you not add to the public perception that this sport is so dangerous or that I have to be some kind of bad-ass to do it, let alone enjoy it. I can understand how Woody and Gus (and probably a LOT of cave divers) feel about the public reflection of their hobby can get twisted when the untrained and uninformed folks get themselves into trouble doing stuff they've never prepared, trained, or even learned about... It's sad, but even in the 80's I think there was more to learn available than these two (who should've known better, frankly) showed or demonstrated. I wouldn't recommend putting a thoroughly green 15 year old kid on a liter-bike for his first ride, although there have been a few who survived it. There have just been MANY MANY MORE who didn't. ;o)
I wonder if these guys had an epiphany and realized that their wonderful lobster spot might get used up by other divers, so they made up a story about how it's a no-mount entry to scare other people away from it. I can already hear them saying "And we would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for that meddling Dive Talk!"
The eel must’ve saved them. It smelled the fear and desire for lobster and resonated with that feeling and while he didn’t want to let them have any, he still respected the effort they put in to eat his favorite food
"Hey, let's go take a quick dive into a cave with a tank half-full of air. What could possibly go wrong?" You'd think that Navy divers would know better than to go diving inside a cave without any preparation whatsoever, but I guess these guys were asleep during training or something,
I really like how Gus and Woody sort of balance each other out when it comes to discussing videos. I think it's apparent that they both respect each other's viewpoints and aren't always trying to have the last word.
@@sir.benzerlot4571 I just never had the occasion, and i dont live close to the sea so I dont know if I will have the occasion. Its not like forbidden forever for me
Even hiking trails it's easy to take a wrong trail on the way back. Following proper cave diving protocol is how you live to dive another day. You guys are awesome, I have "faith" your videos will save lives!
It was an Octopus that saved them. 🐙 Have a wonderful Christmas & New Year guys. You rock great diving content all year long! I truly appreciate the honest, informative discussions, as well as the hilarious reactions. Love it - thanks so much!
Oh ye of little faith who can't see betwixt the tentacles to the meaty balls behind this mystery. But fear not my child, for many saved from silty deeps have confused for octopus an apparition of The Flying Spaghetti Monster. He sent his drinking buddy the moray eel ahead to lure them out of danger with lobster while telling them to leave. The words fell upon dumb brains and the little ones snatched death from the jaws of salvation. Not wanting to freak them out more and possibly miss happy hour at heaven's beer volcanos, His Noodliness remained hidden as he wrapped them in his loving appendages, lifted the cave mouth open like that time it had to see the dentist for a chipped barnicle, and pulled his children free. We can only hope they saw the marinara and became pirates grand upon the 7 seas to stave off global warming.
Long story short, I had a similar experience. I was driving in the Arctic and was stopping for the night at around midnight. Three times a “ voice” told me to keep going down the road to this specific spot. Realizing something much larger than me was at play, I continued. At 0230 AM and -60 F I came across an accident in which the driver was injured and severely hypothermic. I doubt he would have made another 30 minutes. Good part of the story is I was able to get him in my truck and to medical help.
There are definitely things about the universe and the brain we do not understand yet so for anyone to immediately act like they can explain this kind of stuff away is foolish
Non-diver reaction: WTF! The rule of thirds sure went out the damn window here huh? Partial tanks with 20 mins of air to dive to a depth where they were worried about getting the bends on the way up…while also diving into a cave…while also having to remove gear to get in. 🤯 My facial expression was like Gus’s for most of this with a few eye rolls thrown in. This makes zero sense.
It was from 1998, lol. The science, dive technology, and safety/tech standards weren’t nearly as advanced back then. That’s like being like “why is that stupid TV viewer from 1960 watching TV on a tiny 12” black and white screen haha the idiot” 😂
And yes I’m a cave and also OW diver lol. But you can’t ask why dudes from 1998 do stuff differently from people in 2021 lol. Different eras. RUclips didn’t even exist back then, and wasn’t invented until 2005. Google had only been invented that very same year
@@charlesg7926 I think it's fair to say even back then, that was cutting it pretty fine. Sounds like you're saying having more air than you need is a new revelation 😂
@@charlesg7926 and to that same effect, 1998 was not that long ago lmfao. There were already expert cave divers doing rescues and recovery at that point. These guys were just being foolish, which im pretty sure is what they even say lol.
When Gus says “ the telepathic communication we learned in the navy “ I nearly wet myself laughing.. I was not at all prepared for that comment and ended up with a SEVERE case of the giggles 🤣
So if I was a Navy diver and I did something really stupid on an off duty recreation dive that ended with me needing to be treated for decompression sickness, I would for sure come up with some other story to explain what happened on the boat ride back. Any time there is an incident, on or off duty, a detailed report needs to be done, and most lies are born from someone trying to cover their own ass. Maybe their CO was hyper religious so they hooked their bait well. Or maybe they just said "it was a miracle we made it out" and this show heard about their story and decided to punch it up a bit. Either way, it was fun to watch you guys react!
I agree with what you are saying. Lots of people rather not make a certified report on their stupid decision making mistakes, hence a lot of lies are born. Good observation and thanks for sharing.
I agree. I'm not a diver by the way. I think there was a genuine emergency, so not accusing that guy of making it up, but there's clearly a hell of a lot of stuff missing from this story.
woah woah woah.........He's "always" weighs the risk vs benefit of a grill full of lobsters versus being stuck in the cave ? Who the hell in their right mind thinks dying is a valid risk for a lobster dinner. What a poor choice of words for him to use there.
And then I heard a clear voice, “hand over the lobster and noone gets hurt”. Too bad there were no miracles for all the other divers who died in a cave.
I'm a welder and truly enjoy knowing and learning as much as I can about my profession and I have the upmost respect for you and your obvious passion and respect for yours
Do you go underwater? That’s one of the most intense professions I’ve ever come across. Now I’m going to go watch those videos! Makes me have an appreciation for men across the globe for all of the courageous jobs they do to keep our society running. I’m feeling comfortable and dry here on land! Lol
That voice he heard, could be his "intuition" this primal instinct we all have but some are simply more in tune with it than others. Our mind is insane, a very complex and mysterious thing. Always listen to it. I once heard a story of a woman who heard a voice telling her to "pick up your legs" while she was in the passenger seat, her husband was driving, she did but after a while, put her legs down again. The 2nd time she heard that voice, it was frantic and she panicked, so she put her legs crossed on the seat again, not long after they crashed. The whole dashboard was right where her legs would have been, she would have been pinned because of how bad it was. That car was completely destroyed from her side, she fortunately had minor injuries. The Dr told her she would have lost her child due to blood loss if her legs got pinned and that she was very lucky her legs were up on the seat. She didn't know she was pregnant btw. I do believe it's just our minds warning us. I've heard more stories like these & they're incredible, they're fascinating.
I had a near death event (NDE) while diving in a spearfishing tourney at Panama City, Fl. I ran out of air at 95ft., drop the belt, speargun, made an emergency ascent. I took in water and drowned at about the 20ft. before reaching the surface. My dive partner was a doctor and there was O2 on the boat. They brought me back, kept me on O2 and we went straight to the Navy base (this the Navy's dive school location) where they kept 2 chambers on standby. After a 20hour ride, I was moved the hospital at the Air Force base and was back flying in 2 months. If I had not drowned (water in my lungs), I would have died. The part from 95ft. to the surface was something else.
BTW got to say, as a non diver, but avid swimmer since very young age, I watched all your videos and will continue do so mainly because of Gus, I like the logic thinking, patience and the subtle sense of humour... Also as a brazilian who was a child when we (the whole country) lost Ayrton Senna, I was related to you immediately when I saw a glance of his picture in one of your videos. Even after 27 years since he left us, we still miss him very dearly. Merry Christmas guys!!
When you have that "fear of panic" wash through your body and mind, it's terrifying, especially if you're underwater and stuck in a silted up cave/cavern. I've been in that situation and I chose not to give in to the panic and calmed myself down enough to find the small exit. And to be honest, it was a very very short cavern and the odds of me not getting out were really slim, but it did silt up so bad I couldn't see a thing. Stay safe and calm out there guys.
I learn a lot about being an even better human from watching Woody give the people in these videos the benefit of the doubt! “Who am I to say that a higher power did not intervene.” I am not super religious, but I respect that take!
I always call BS like Gus, until I hear Woody offer a different perspective! These videos are entertaining, but beyond that… I love the aspect of just seeing how others perceive and process stimuli, and seeing what/how I can learn from that!
“Who am I to say?” .. I am someone who has done a ton of research on the validity of religion and found NOTHING to show any of it is real.. so yeah.. I am someone who’s gonna say something.. most definitely:)
So I just stumbled upon you guys one day and I have been hooked ever since. You two are just so real, genuine, and passionate. It’s refreshing to see. I was truly terrified by diving, or anything water related really, until you two. You highlight the importance of rules, guidelines, and safety so now diving doesn’t seem like a reckless death wish. Thank you and please keep doing what you’re doing.
After the part where he admits he tried to go back in, and was only stopped by the size of the opening, I think it's pretty clear that the dude hadn't run out of air in the first place. It's not all that uncommon for people to block out traumatic experiences. My guess is; he saw his air was getting dangerously low, panicked, and simply doesn't remember what would have been the worst of the ordeal.
The brain does block out traumatic memories. Some women even forget giving birth because it was traumatic for them. So I believe it is the best possible explanation for what happened to them.
He said he looked at his watch and knew he had 20 minutes of air so I think that he saw he only had 5 minutes of air left based on bottom time before his encounter with the eel, after the silt up he couldn't check his SPG so assumed he was out of air but in reality he had used less air than he expected and managed to fumble his way out of the cave, possibly with the tide or currents help. I think as well that the cave entrance was wider than he thought and he never needed to remove his gear to get in but because he had always done that he thought that was the only way.
No mention of how deep this dive was. If they were deep enough to get bent, that’s what would have happened. I think it was a safety stop, if anything. Get out of the “cave” part, if it’s true, maybe there was a keyhole type of arrangement. Shoulders and tanks perfectly lined up with the entrance. The voice part, yeah for sure. I’ve had a moment in my life, that saved my life. Very similar. Giant moray eels up to 9.8ft are real. But the whole story doesn’t seem real.
I absolutely adore you two! ❤ Coming from a gal afraid to swim in deep lakes (monster fish!), I never thought I'd be interested--let alone captivated--by videos about cave diving! The format in which you present is a difficult one. It's too easy to either ramble on and lose people's interest, or become more jarringly disruptive rather than helpfully informative. You two, however, pull it off flawlessly! Your stops are not only well timed (it's clear what the issue is that you're going to discuss), you do a wonderful job of concisely identifying and summarizing the issue/action and then explaining it in a way that's truly engaging. The two of you are a great pair, too--Gus, your less-is-more, understated style is a great, "calming" spine of structure off of which Woody can enthusiastically flesh out with emphatically energized flair. Your pauses are selected extremely well, and you even do a great job of nonverbal indicating where there is an instance of significance, so the audience knows to pay special attention. Thank you for broadening my horizons and garnering my respect for a hobby I had regarded as nothing but pointless foolhardiness! 🐟🐡🐠🦀🐋
non diver here and I have zero plan on ever diving and in a cave/cavern absolutely never ever!!! but i watch every video cause i do like the content and think its kinda interesting. they compensate each other very well! alot of times both on polar opposite views and they talk out their thoughts and the process to get that. usually coming up with a agreement to what they think! its a very good channel! ive been subscribed since around 5-10K subs! i also love how they are longer videos too. i can put it on at work and listen while working.
That Navy diver isnt wrong though: God saves children and fools and he wasnt a child so... Gus' reaction was everything I needed on Christmas Eve. And Woody is too good for this world. Loved what he shared. Merry Christmas, guys, hope you have a wet one! Cant wait to see whats in store for Dive Talk 2022 :-)

It makes total sense. Yeah that dude was saved miraculously while other divers just die. The universe wanted that dude to live but gave a big middle finger to everyone else
It's Christmas eve and Gus announces he does not believe in a higher power...that's ironic lol. Just playing, but Woody, I guess I'm "naive" too as I do believe in a higher power (God for me.) Happy Holidays guys. Hope you enjoy the time with your families. Thx for my Xmas gift of a Dive Talk vid❤❤
Guys isn't the best poker player in the diving world, that's for sure! U can sure tell when he's not happy, when a person is putting themselves in danger in the deep. This is my fav new channel & I've never been deeper than my breath allows.
I was in a bad car accident in October and paramedics have no idea how I came out of the accident without a scratch and just a small leg bruise. I do think miracles happen or at the very least things that are no explained. I was rear ended at highway speeds in a multiple car accident
I mean that is pretty easily explained? People escape high speed crashes unscathed all the time, and we understand the mechanics of it... The crash didnt damage your car enough to cause any crazy damage. Obviously, it ALMOST did, bc you got a leg bruise... Theres always a chance that you will not be hurt in a car accident, its just a small chance... I would be willing to bet the other drivers had it worse than you? Thats just statistics for you, you were lucky, basically.
I think of "miracles" as something that had such a low chance of happening that it probably shouldn't have, and it's something that really helps or fixes a situation. So even if there's a perfectly logical explanation for an event, I would still consider it a miracle. So yes I do think it's a miracle that they BOTH made it out of that situation alive!
I'm 100% with Gus on this one. There was a lot of misinformation and dramatization. I straight up don't believe a ghost guided him out of the cave. I think he was low on air and started to become hypoxic, running off of adrenaline, and he doesn't remember how he made his way out.
Im with gus on this one. When you go into panic mode anything can happen. I think during his panic the voices he heard were his own thoughts. I think being a navy diver they saved themselves but were just to panicked to realize it. Nothing pulled you out of that cave except a large uprising current or just pure willpower to survive. This guy had a horrible situation but because its on this miracle show i think its been exaggerated i think he was in a life or death situation that he conquered it was not a higher power it was pure instinct and training that brought them back. i have panicked underwater and the only voice ive heard is my own. in a scuba panic situation muscle memory kicks in. you save yourselves not a higher power. Glad you guys are okay what a story wow
if my greatest fear was dying of drowning in an underwater cave i probably wouldn't go out of my way to nearly die via drowning in underwater caves for a couple of lobsters
Lately I watched a lot of your videos, I use to be a scuba open water instructor, and mainly just diving for fun. However, now I’m seriously considering to be a technical and cave divers. Keep it up guys. And well done 🙏🏼
Professional Flight Instructor here: Past the ten-minute mark, I swear that I could close my eyes and tell myself you're talking about panicking student pilots, instead of scuba diving students. And really, it's very similar!
I feel what you mean by how you think you can memorize the rocks and everything on the way in, but then it's all like, different on the way out. I've never been diving but I kayak rivers all the time. I always paddle up the river first... and I think I'm going to recognize the features around the boat ramp area but then hours later, on my way back, it all freakin looks the same lol.
Gus is the best! lol...Total disbelief at the fact that they couldn't go in with the gear but came out with no problem. Apparently, he was out of air in the cave/cavern and held his breath all throughout the exit. Something doesn't add up. Pardon my skepticism but could they have been suffering from nitrogen narcosis.
I take no issue to people's religious beliefs and in fact, I think it is awesome that they have something to believe in and push them to do better in life. But it really rubs me the wrong way when people say things like "god chose to save me." I think it's insulting to some of the divers and their families that have lost their lives and loved ones inside of caves. and again I'm not hating on anyone's religion, I'm just voicing how it makes me feel when I hear stuff like that.
The day before my dad passed away. I was up at 3 ish am and some feeling told me to call my dad. In my head I said “I’ll call him tomorrow” and a voice OUTLOUD said “I might die” not in my head, it literally sounded like someone was sitting right next to me saying it. It made me jump but then I said outloud “you ain’t gone die” and eventually went back to sleep. The next morning my brother called me at work and said my dad had a massive heart attack early in the morning and passed away. I almost folded in half. I say all that to say there’s a lot of stuff we don’t fully understand about human consciousness, I believe that he could in fact have heard a voice saying get out.
I've experienced a situation similar to this. I heard/saw something I cannot rationally explain. Now I have a whole new respect for those who believe there is something out there much larger than us... we all have a purpose, and sometimes we need a little help to be able to stay here to do it.
How did you know, guys?! I came to your channel from mr Ballen, being curious about diving and I never suspected it would be so fascinating! Its my 5th or 6th video here and Im going to watch your recommendation next, cant stop now haha Keep it up, you're awesome!
Fantastic video as always. Thanks guys - a Merry Christmas and a healthy, wealthy and prosperous New Year. Woody is right re his description of a panicked diver - they really don't have any control over themselves or any conscious thought processes going on. If it wasn't for the fact they are underwater, they probably could not tell you basics such as their name. The reptilian brain predominates and you really only see this in what a person perceives as a life or death situation such a bad accident (or teaching diving, yes even in a shallow swimming pool). If this fight/flight/fawn/faint response and the biochemical reactions that come from being in this state fail, in addition to low oxygenation etc, then we can then enter another 'mode' as it were, with different neurochemicals flooding the brain. I have had out of body experiences when very ill and it is a very comforting, warm, loving feeling. Or it may be a higher power etc - as Woody says - who are any of us to say what another person experiences.
My votes on the Eel being like "yah thanks for the lobster but time for you to GTFO my cave" and carried em out from back of the neck :D if it was as huge as they made it out to be it should have no broblem pushing someone in water.
As a biologist I used to be an atheist skeptic and would have rolled my eyes at such a story but I experienced God speak to me using signs that no matter how much I tried, defied natural explanation. And this took place over years to break through my skepticism. So now I am far more willing to believe other people's reports like this even though there's no way to test.
There are so many accounts of miracles happening, my family has experienced many of them eg. One night my grandmother who was living in Africa had a dream whilst sleeping that a dog with rabies was coming after her and her family on the farm, in the dream she suddenly felt the urge and warning to wake up. Once she did and got up in the middle of the night she walked through the house then suddenly heard the chickens I the pen screaming, she went to investigate only to see a large dog with rabies, the dog was heading towards the house, she managed to get the family secured in house whilst she got in the car driving to the neighbours warning them, someone managed to get a gun and take the dog out of its pain. If God had never warned her the family or another family would have been attacked. Until you experience the spiritual/God you can no longer be a sceptic as there is no other explanation than the supernatural.
@@Chartail1 Thanks for sharing. Yes I think we all get little signs and nudges and some people pay more attention and trust and end up seeing more clearly. I'm not one of them lol - I am a doubter but still God got it through to me eventually and now I try to be more like that.

Awesome good timing I was just looking for something good to watch in your video just popped up. Thank you guys. Hey quick question how long does a standard full tank of air last underwater? When you guys are underwater staging do you guys use bigger and or different size tanks? And how long do they last?
It depends on the depth and the level of activity but I would say on average when people think of a scuba dive they think of a 45-minute dive usually. Some are longer and some are shorter so that’s just an average. It really all depends on the depth, the diver’s breathing rate, and the level of activity. And of course the bigger the tank the longer it lasts usually.
depends on the depth. For real cave diving you have more tanks, redundance. And hard training with technical equipment. Tech or Cave diving is no joke.
There is a possibility that the first guy imagined himself being dragged out while infact he was the one who dragged the other guy out. In such a situation, it's possible that self-awareness degrades making it hard to distinguish who's who.

The thing about implying that some sort of supernatural power decided to save him is that you're also implying that same power decided not to help all the people that have died in similar circumstances.

I want to believe....x-files.
The eel called the octopus and cleaned his house by removing the intruders.
The octopus just helped.
The eel took out one...and the octopus took out the other.
The part that no one heard the octopus speak to the eel was:
"If they stay here...more "humans" will come to disturb and destroy our house to rescue these two humans."
Amen.
And the eel replied:
Let's make them believe it was a miracle, but no...it was an alien act.

The eel took his lobsters then rescued them! 😂
No joke, the eel rescuing them makes way more sense because the eel was actually there.
“Do you?” 😂. Love it when Gus says that after the guy says, “I always weigh the risk versus benefit” ….after he does deep, no mount dive with partially filled tanks, and split up, hmmm.
And no redundancy!

What could possibly go wrong?"
You'd think that Navy divers would know better than to go diving inside a cave without any preparation whatsoever, but I guess these guys were asleep during training or something,

I’m not saying it was an Octopus…
Long story short, I had a similar experience. I was driving in the Arctic and was stopping for the night at around midnight. Three times a “ voice” told me to keep going down the road to this specific spot. Realizing something much larger than me was at play, I continued. At 0230 AM and -60 F I came across an accident in which the driver was injured and severely hypothermic. I doubt he would have made another 30 minutes. Good part of the story is I was able to get him in my truck and to medical help.

“Who am I to say that a higher power did not intervene.”
I am not super religious, but I respect that take!
Thank you and please keep doing what you’re doing.
I'm not even a diver nor have I ever dived yet here I am binge watching your videos. Good work on the material guys!
Obviously the eel is a higher pier and saved them!

But it did just so happen to occur right at the moment he needed saving. That's pretty amazing.
They had back ups for everything you do realize that that was just a reenactment when they shoot the scenes of those two divers.
As long as people aren't going to rely on a higher power to save them in a cave after hearing this, I don't think it spreads a bad message.

That eel definitely felt bad for silting them out, he must’ve came and rescued them after stashing the lobsters he rightfully took back
I was in a bad car accident in October and paramedics have no idea how I came out of the accident without a scratch and just a small leg bruise.
@@glumsulk the car was a complete total loss
This is from the TV series “it’s a miracle” used to watch this when I was 3-6 years old, you guys hit with the nestalgia this week
I wonder if the guy who got swallowed by a Whale heard the same kind of voice "Get Out of The Whales Mouth'"
The Mooray felt bad for stealing the lobsters and help them out xD
The moray also told them get out with electric wave signals 😏
It was clearly the moray eel that saved both of them.
How can Gus regularly see the beauty of creation and yet not believe in miracles? The whole existence is a miracle!
I must say, I was laughing pretty hard when he was talking about killing the eel before swimming out holding his breath!
I'm 100% with Gus on this one. There was a lot of misinformation and dramatization. I straight up don't believe a ghost guided him out of the cave. I think he was low on air and started to become hypoxic, running off of adrenaline, and he doesn't remember how he made his way out.
This exactly.

I'm with woody. Edd was busy at the time so had to send his spirit to save them. There's a reason Edd is the best. 😁
Woody is such a precious individual. Love that guy
What makes this even more crazy is that someone was down there filming the whole thing
The scariest thing anyone can ever hear is "we've always done it this way..." or "we've done it before.."
I say all that to say there’s a lot of stuff we don’t fully understand about human consciousness, I believe that he could in fact have heard a voice saying get out.
i think that eel took his dinner and escorted them out of his house.
I've experienced a situation similar to this. I heard/saw something I cannot rationally explain. Now I have a whole new respect for those who believe there is something out there much larger than us... we all have a purpose, and sometimes we need a little help to be able to stay here to do it.

Me too. I got into this channel because of Mr. Ballen
Gotta pre like these vids cause i know quality is coming.
We appreciate that, thank you!
Just from the expression on your face in the teaser...I love you, Gus.
Nicely put at the the end, Woody... about 'what we can believe.' I agree 100% 👍🏻
"Then I heard a clear voice" "Ooooooohhhhh, who lives in a pineapple, under the sea....."
Woody is just so pure and wholesome
Only a couple minutes in and it’s obvious how ridiculously dense these divers are. 🤦🏻♀️
You guys did a good job not losing your cool with this video. Lol
Funny how miracles have stopped since everyone is diving with gopros...
41 seconds in and I'm already sure an octopus saved this guy 😆
Edit: oh my god, Gus making the heart stabbing motions in the background is comic gold
man every video that you guys release gets better and better you guys are my main source of entertainment on youtube love this channel love you guys merry Christmas cant wait for the next one
Could they have been pushed out by a strong current?! Pretty unbelievable, but I always search for a logical explanation…
Think they made this story up... professionals would never put themselves in such danger
ANYTHING is possible with God. The unexplainable happens all the time in this world when someone who should never have been able to survive a situation, does. Those are miracles❤😊. Love you guys, love this channel- you're both such excellent people🥰 God Bless you and your families this coming year, and Merry Christmas my friends❤🎄
Amen. I've seen miracles with my own eyes. Our God is awesome. God bless.
@@aaronrichards19886 God Bless you😊❤
🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the upload DIVE TALK!
👍
I really appreciate Woody's perspective on the Divine element. Great video Gus and Woody!
Me too! 🙏✝️
It was blind eel, he needed 🦞 for dinner, but wasn't without a feel.
The thing about implying that some sort of supernatural power decided to save him is that you're also implying that same power decided not to help all the people that have died in similar circumstances.
And? Some people still have things God wants them to do in their life, others, it was their time.
@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 Doesn't sound like the kind of guy you want looking after you but hey, whatever lets you sleep at night i guess.
@@grimblackwall6454 If a person is a soul trapped in a meat suit, and the soul lives on forever, as an omnipotent being, you probably wouldn't be terribly worried what happens to certain meat suits, because their souls aren't dying. You would only care what happens to the meat suits that further your game plan.
@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 Sounds like a sociopath to me.
This was a cave diving Christmas miracle.
New subscriber from the UK, loving the content guys, keep up the great work. Wishing you both a very Happy Christmas and New Year . Looking forward to the next video upload 😊 🎄🎅☃️
