alissa a. this album is from 1985 ..... what most likely happened is the copyright ran out and the author ( in this case, mercury ) is not around to renew the copyright --so now its out of print. it might be available in the UK but not anywhere in the US :(( also because this is a solo album, not something he did with queen, it'll probably never be re-released.

Actually the movie was not based on actual facts. See his 1985 interview with Wigg where he is fairly satisfied with the album. Brian may and roger taylor were simply jealous that his solo work was far more successful hence made freedie look unhappy in the movie.

My 9th grade music professor gave me this and told me it was my summer assessment! He was GENIIUX and so was Freddie!!!!
This is a great song on a great album that was strangely overlooked in 1985 when Queen rocked the planet on Live Aid. The LP was not a hugh success and it is very entertaining with Mercury extending his vocals and production with some great session musicians. It took a long time to make too with Queen being the main commitment. This track is very like "I Am The Walrus" by The Beatles the way it struts along. Great orchestral arrangement and vocals. Mr Bad Guy needs a reissue with all the remixes from 1985 on a bonus disc and not the 90s dance remixes.

This song is awesome! Especially the orchestrated instrumentals. Definetly something unique for Freddie around the time of this album's release. And the person who put them together did very well. It actually reminds me of John Williams, to be honest. (I know that this is a solo album, but I don't think Freddie put the orchestrated music together other than sythesizers.)
