Using no-go zones in the app can help with avoiding the plant stands. My robot would push around my cats food and water bowl then I put a no-go zone and it never happened again. I highly suggest using the features that this machine is equipped with. A very smart unit indeed.

    • @jeffrokraus5483

Perhaps do a re-mapping? When I originally set up my unit, I had boxes and storage items on some floors, so those areas were not mapped properly. Upon re-mapping, things worked better. I also marked off the rooms with proper delimiters, so it's cleaning in the proper space, now, when I select a specific room. I use the spot cleaning often, as well, and it's cleaning the correct area.

@jeffrokraus5483 just bought mine, the mailing software is nice but it is a little clunky with the no go zones. You can drag them out of the room and just use a small portion of it in the actual area. You can also rotate them. This is keeping my Xmas tree lights, stand and humidifier from being run into. 2 dogs and a cat and one long haired red head keeps it busy. Mine had the mopping attachment as well and while it won't no the whole house it does a pretty good number on a room and excels on matrix mopping. I Know I should have gotten them self dining tower but that portion wasn't available at Sam's.

I'm running mine for the first time right now and was surprpised when it emptied mid-cycle. Two top improvements over the Roomba: 1.) It can handle Ikea's Poang chairs just fine! and 2.) It doesn't ram into our shower stall glass walls, it doesn't even touch them. Also it's about half as loud as the Roomba. The manual is pretty worthless though- I have no idea how to clean the filter even though it says I must do this. No idea how to get it to dock, until I saw your video (mine doesn't say dock on it). So I'm using RUclips to try to learn how to maintain it. It just finished and the running time was 1.5 hours. I emptied the tank and saw a filter in there - is that the one? In the manual it looks different.

After watching this video I bought the Shark AI Robot Vacuum AND 11 heavy furniture boxes for my plants and lamps to stand on. The boxes makes my living room and other rooms look like works of art and enhance the look of my home. The boxes are black in color with gold marble streaks going around them and the measurements are

    •  2 месяца назад +1

basically a 1 foot square box, measured in inches across all three dimensions, would be 12 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 12 inches high, essentially making it a "cubic foot" with dimensions of 12x12x12 inches and each one weighs 2 pounds exactly. I love my new clean house every time I get home from work!

After watching this review we decided to buy it on sale at Costco. While it seemed to vacuum well, the app functionality left a lot to be desired. The scheduling is "all or nothing". Although the app allows you to create and name different rooms in your house, it doesn't allow the scheduling of individual rooms. That is, we wanted to clean different rooms in our house when they were not being used on different days. The Shark app informed us that this is not possible but in the future they may add this functionality. We also experienced frequent 'disconnected' errors on the app. Finally, while it claimed to use LIDAR it failed to recognize objects that were too low for it. As a result it got stuck frequently under certain pieces of furniture. We would only find out later when we would walk into a room where it was wedged under a dresser.
    We decided to return it.

It's not really set it and forget it either, it becomes harder and harder to deal with as it wears out and gets filthy over time.

Well i bought mine little more than a year ago. That means I am out of warranty now. I never had an issue with it, TILL now. So after troubleshooting, that lidar needs cleaning, I was told by customer support to buy another unit. No repair etc... with almost perfect unit, this mentality of throwing away and buy another one, not only wastage of money, but amount of e waste we are creating!! I am not sure about it.

Great review! and nice points, as well. I have owned my Shark Robot Vacuum for about 6 months, and I've had the similar experience to yours, with one exception: (1) I didn't have any issue with plants. There is one plant I have which has a metal-wire type stand, and because the lidar cannot identify the thin metal structure of the stand (too thin) -- it bumps into it, more. However, it doesn't bump hard enough to knock it over, so for me it's a non-issue. As far as issues, I've had only one: (2) Stuff gets stuck in the little door (on the unit) that connects to the home-base, and I have to investigate and usually remove a rock or something so that the door closes properly. Then, the system is happy again. (3) We do have a lot of hair that gets vacuumed up, so I usually clean the brush and roller each day, in order to have it be very pristine and ready for more work. This seems to help, with performance.

    • @costcozaddy
      @costcozaddy  Год назад

Great feedback. Our vacuum still does well with hair, but noticing that there is hair buildup on the ends of the roller that I need to periodically remove. Other than that, still works great!

AV2310 is designed to Walmart same as RV2300, RV2310.

When you buy Shark Robot, let’s say they have all RV2300, RV2310, AV2310, RU2350AE, you can assume all these units are series 2300.

Shark vacuums are junk. Mine broke in 3 months and they refuse to honor the warranty because I unscrewed a single screw that held on a side brush. They said that voided the warranty.

I agree! This thing is junk. It will manage to frustrate the heck out of you! Returns to the dock about 50% of the time. It spends more time lost than cleaning. Finally, one of the drive wheels went out, very common issue. Shark won't sell a replacement but they do have a replacement parts unit which contains both drive wheels. $299.00 plus shipping. Lol. Save your money and peace of mind. Try another brand.

Ok so I was thinking of a few in depth comments I'd like to make concerning these mop vacuums and a few other observations.
1st after watching more than it seems like 5 hrs of these mop/vac robots I'm not buying.
Dreametech, Ecovacs, Roborock, Shark, Irobot, Eufy and many many more.
They all seem like crap to me. Each and everyone has some major flaws. And I think the manufacturer's are to blame. They are keeping it that way so everyone can charge 10xs more
    than what products worth.
When there is a clear winner everyone will have to buy causing
law of supply and demand to force prices down. Sort of like our corrupt pharm industry.
Until a generic is forced by our gov't.
I really want a mop vacuum. And I must thank these vids for wasting my time.
Because on one of them that puts products on different tiers told me that one Shark vac I was considering from an infomercial that seemed too good to be true.
Is! Even its most advanced vac, I see demonstrated does horrible in corners, and is crap on carpet. I can also see with variances on features, speeds, as well as all other bells and whistles, or lack
there of. Like having to manually do this or that. Or having to buy 2 robots one mop and one vac.
Not one mop/vac meets standards I want and need. In fact the company
dumbed down it's 8 pro version to make you want more rather than giving the consumer what they want.
So what's lesson here? None it's all a waste of time.
What makes me go out and buy a product?
Flawless or close to reviews. I don't want to have to replace every couple of years.
For this Cyber Monday I bought a 65 in tv from Samsung. Samsung S90C Series 4K QD OLED TV .It is Consumer Reports top rated at 87 out of 100. But no I don't trust CR as half of what they rate the public hates.
So that's where youtube and net come in. To see if anyone comes to a consensus on what's best.
The top 3 contenders were SONY worth top quality and price.
But some chinese guy said about how it will be perfect when a bug fix comes out.
But will it or will SONY force you to buy next tv?
And mid priced tier LG and Samsung. It was between Samsung S90C/95 series, LG G3,
    Sony Bravia XR A95L / or X95L
Other than nit picking on the plugs on back, and wanting sound to be like a symphony, or live concert
I could not find anything negative on tv I bought.
I don't have it yet. But feel confident it won't dissapoint.
With tvs, last one I bought in 2012 was an LG smart 50 inch tv, which I had zero complaints on.
Except for the weird shaped boat like remote that would fall off everything and get sandwiched between the cushions of couch. That thing died on me in 2022 last Summer while I was watching it
and falling asleep . It was 615pm and I heard a loud pop, and then it died.
My mom died of covid-19 in Apr 2022, so while I was going past the old town where I once lived
    NW of NYC.
I took my mom's 43 LG tv. I really don't like anything, but memory of mom.
As I never changed the NYC tv line up for Boston here where I now live.
In comparison. My old 50 in LG 2012 tv cost $1,100 + tax. It had 120 hz, and was great both in color, and for sports live action. Zero motion blur. Or any artificial effects.
Mom's tv, I think maybe she paid $500 or less for. Is smart tv from 2018 I looked up.
It has ok color, but blacks suck and many colors get washed out. Except for graphics on tv news for ex. Those look fine. The tv in higher colors looks unnatural. So mode I have it in looks like a
    color newspaper at best.
My old 50 in LG smart tv had vibrant everything. I got dozens of comments on it how it looked
like you were in the a movie theater. No joke. Story here was I was in BJ's warehouse in 2012. I couldn't find any tv of maybe 70 on display, that really popped with colors detail and stood out. Until I walked around corner and saw 2. This one for $1,100 and one for $2,500 in 2012. This one I said I want it today. And bought it.
I got $200 back on tv. That paid for 8% NY State taxes, oh joy!
One I replaced it for was 19 inch tv I bought in Canada for $100.
Which was maybe $60 US because back in 1998. US currency was worth $1.60 CDN. or Canada $ was
    only worth 63 cents US.
As long as you shopped where locals shopped, and avoided touristy areas. You didn't overpay in Canada. In touristy area everything was double priced. And banks and welcome areas jacked up
fees and downgraded US dollar any chance they got to get even with USA on how they felt jipped
    by American currency back then.
Not related I went to Canada to get lasik on my eyes. One time ever I can recall. I overpaid a little. As CDN $ was worth $1.07 US! I think its like 85 cents US now. On your eyes you don't want
a coupon. You want best care you can get. Canada was leap years ahead of US on lasik correction
surgery in 2007. And I lived 90 mins from Kingston Ontario at time.
One last lesson about my now 2 yr old laptop. I bought as Black Friday deal got about $1500 off.
Paid $3495 for I love it. It was the right choice I hope it lasts 10 yrs.
Lenovo Legion 7 not AMD but Microsoft Intel gaming laptop top of line Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU graphics card.
Paired with 11th gen Intel processor at 11980hk @3.3 Ghz speed, with cores up to 5.0 Ghz. And its a powerhouse to be reckoned with. Still 2 years later. That was best lap top money could buy in Dec of 2021.
I even got a free 5 yr full extended warranty that's good til 2026.
When I buy something I look for 10 or more yrs. Even if I pay top dollar. I want it to be something
that lasts the test of time. So in concluding all these mop/vacs sadly are still junk before 2024.
Will they finally release monopoly to make one people really want, or play games for next 5 yrs making record profits? I hope not later. As I want to not have to clean floors anymore.

You would probably do better with an old-fashioned mop --- and get some exercise doing it. After all, you live in an apartment, how long can it take to clean it? Just another gadget to waste money on.
