I saw the prices for those planters and plants, They are RIDICULIOUS. I have 45 healthy gorgeous house plants. No way in this world would i EVER pay $ 280 for a single planter and one plant. I didnt spend that much ,all together, for all of my plants and planters combined. Trader Joes sells great 10 " plants for $ 12.99 to $ 20.99. Stores like Home Sense sell NICE ceramic planters for $ 8.00 to $ 16.00 on average. It is NOT that hard to properly water any house plant. Lots of them thrive on benign neglect. The single most common reason for plant death is OVERWATERING, not forgetting to water. By their prices, id have to have paid more than $10,000.00 for my plants, THAT IS INSANE. Its a rip off. I would never recommend that company to anyone.
Cheryl has a delightful and engaging personality and I liked her explanation of the design features in her custom house in her preferred location if Durango. All the best to her. 🙏🙏 I’m a Texan too and kudos to Cheryl for devising a way to live where she likes and at the same time facilitate her son’s housing in Austin. I hope he buys it!
Your home is beautiful! In my opinion, you made an excellent choice not having a bedroom in a loft! Nice that your home is big, but still cozy. Prayers for complete healing of your cancer!🙏🏻
I'm a fellow breast cancer survivor (x2) and I love that she is a nurse and is called to help others in need. Great tiny house; looks very inviting and comfortable. She is precious.
Lol, I am also, a nurse and breast cancer survivor, and I am still working as a nurse x33+ years and pray and thank God for all my blessings. I taught high school history and English and coached varsity girls basketball and softball for 3 years. I
Same! It is difficult to allow others to help when you’re accustomed to being self sufficient or are one who helps others. I finally realized that others WANT to help and feel a bit sad when we turn down their offers of assistance. My first round with breast cancer taught me lessons that I intend to bring to the next round should it (C) come knocking on my door again. Stay well ♥
This is one of the best designed and livable tiny homes I have ever seen. Cheryl did a magnificent job in designing it. I am sending all my good wishes in her fight against cancer.
For a person who says she doesn’t like a lot of clothes she has enough. I saw it everywhere 😅. I wish with all my heart that she is cured of cancer and lives happily in her tiny house . Sweet woman 🙏🏻😊
@@TinyHouseExpedition Yes! Exactly. I am in remission from breast cancer…when one experiences a life altering illness or traumatic life event you begin to understand what REALLY brings you joy and the urge to simplify and clear out the “noise” of unnecessary “things” is paramount. Like the keyboard and her sweet dog friend…she made room for what she loves the most. love the stories you bring us….thank you ♥♥♥
So many Cancer survivors in the comments, myself included. Much like her, I would love to switch careers and also buy a tiny house. Hers suits her very well. Sending my love to all of you ❤
Chery't was so relaxed in front of the camera and the video was such a pleasure to view. The Tiny House design looked so inviting, open and it was just so beautiful.
I love this woman she is very practical. I just stared looking this past week for a tiny house to buy but the houses are maybe worth $75,000 but on a small lot the price tag is $800,000. The land where I live is so much more. I am single and I was living with my Mom just for a short time BEFORE she even knew she had cancer. She had Pancreatic cancer never showed in her blood until she was stage 4 we were planning on a train trip to Boston and to go overseas. My rent was high and going higher and she asked me to come live with her. We renovated her porch I grew veggies and re landscaped a small area of her yard. We loved being together. I had hopes of the house being left to me where I could buy out my siblings but higher powers didn't make that possible. Then covid hit and the nice spacious apts with elevators were not taking new residents. All I could find with my deadline was where I am now. No washer and dryer that's in a separate building. I have a disabled leg and I am on the 3rd floor. Not allowed to use nails it's historically registered. It's 610 square feet and I pay $1478 a month. I pay electric. I use my toaster oven and my microwave and I perk coffee on the stove. I have an Amish fireplace in wheel which is electric but I have only needed it now and then. I do not have heat or AC in the kitchen. I have a table top piano but until I set up my place nicer I do not have a place to play. I took piano as a child but never really learned it but I love piano music. I know how to play the guitar very well. I hate thought of calling a tiny house builder but I would want to own my own lot and I want to stay close to my Dad for now. There isn't any lots for sale only ones with homes. This woman has inspired me to tidy up my space I am very overwhelmed with all I have and I have downsized greatly already. I like to sew and bead and as if now I haven't any room in here. My goal is to have my place looking great by July 4th. I love this RUclips channel. Blessings, Rebrkah

Hi Chery: I love your tiny home! It's well designed, cozy, and a place you can age into with a bedroom on the same floor rather than up in a loft. I love all the windows and your curtain-rod for opening your curtains too! Your location in the tiny home community near Durango is lovely, especially with the island, river, and being within walking distance of downtown Durango. I wish you healing thoughts for your cancer and feel that living in Serenity in Durango is the perfect place for your healing! Thanks for sharing! Jenny

@MsRachaelR Sorry if this offends you, but I really hope that you can move past your "them" and "us" mind set. I find your comment really diviscive (sp?). Enjoyed this video, her tiny home is so beautiful and she all the great ideas to do with her home. I hope she is healthy and doing wonderful in life , her and her sweet doggie.
Very nice house. Feels reasonable. The only things I would do different is create a place to hang-dry clothes in the shower instead. Any drips could cause cumulative damage. The other is to put the oven on a little platform so the induction burner could slip underneath. Easier to use the induction, and less chance of breaking it pulling it out of the cupboard.
Such a darling home you have ! I can see why you chose that beautiful location , enjoy it fully ! I pray your having complete healing . 🙏🌿 there is a wonderful ministry I enjoy here on YT , the channel is Healing Journeys , I think you may like and hear encouragement in your healing journey . 🌿🙏 my favorite teachers there are Colleen and Mike but they are all good . Bless you !
This is one of the best I’ve seen. She sounds so nice and caring, plus a wonderful attitude. It’s nice to see a tiny house actually lived in; family photos, keepsakes, comfy stuff, and whatnot. So many look like staged exhibits at an expo. I also like planning for the future. So many get short lofts that are only useable IF you’re very healthy and stay healthy; and climbing ladders to hunch over on a daily basis, multiple times a day is NOT going to help you stay that way. I don’t understand investing in something that costs more and often uses more resources than renovating a a place or building a bit larger home if you’re not preparing for the future and planning to have it a long time. There’s an actual shower. The toilet is not cramped into a tiny nook. As a wheelchair user something like this would not work for me, but a house like this has options for moving the island and whatnot IF the need ever arose for crutches or a walker or something if there was an injury or surgery.
Well thought out home for lovely (jazz playing) woman and her dog. Like the thicker sliding curtains throughout and the fact that things are roomy and accessible. Here's wishing her and her dog friend the best.

The biggest issue with land ownership is the county/town may require a larger home than the tiny house is. 😢
@@MBMCincy63 sadly very true :(

Great home❤nice lady, wishing her health and happiness
What beautiful story. I love her home and her dog is so adorable.
That is a beautiful home inside and out.
this is a lovely and well-planned home. Love it :)
Love your home, and your sweet personality, I bet your students and your patients love you! Thank you so much for the tour!
Well thought out home for lovely (jazz playing) woman and her dog. Like the thicker sliding curtains throughout and the fact that things are roomy and accessible. Here's wishing her and her dog friend the best.
Your tiny house is beautiful.
Love this girl 's life story her house is beautiful and she's beautiful...my wish for her is the best life😄
