The spawn of the alien symbiote known as Venom, Carnage was forged from having had retained the genetic information of its predecessor and Spider-Man. However, its extra power came from its choice of host, a psychotic serial killer named Cletus Kasady. The cell-mate of Eddie Brock, he was exposed to Venom's newborn offspring when Brock's symbiote launched a jailbreak. This instantly granted the killer incalculable super powers, the strength to escape the penitentiary, and go on a deadly rampage. ***** Agreed! Although you must admit DC is getting pretty desperate after the Avengers came out. Specially with that Superman & Batman movie. In my opinion, the Avengers movie was legit.
It's kind of hard to do a serious movie rated R, with characters that not always look really suited for that kind of role. Can easily become silly (unless you are a really good screenwriter like David Hayter, adapting Watchmen).
Think about how unimpressive Daredevil and the Punisher were. They tried to be serious, and kind of sucked, and they didn't even introduce a more unrealistic villain.
Perhaps those movies should be made computer animated, like Final Fantasy VII (I hope DBZ would do that too, since Hollywood refuses to do it justice).
Peter Parker The batman trilogy will go down as the not only the best trilogy of all time next to star wars, but the dark knight as one of the top 5 best movies of all time. All marvel has besides iron man 1 is a big budget and some humor.

I don't necesaraly agree with the batman trilogy being the best movies of all time. I think the Dark Knight was outstanding, but the first and the third weren't at the same level as the second film. But back to your point; yes, Marvel has humor in it's movies and DC tends to be more serious. But there is nothing wrong with that, right? I mean, they are plenty of serious Marvel movies. They're not dark, but they can be serious at some times.
In a Spider-Man and Batman crossover, I imagine that Joker and Carnage would work well together.
Marvel made a crossover of that. In this version it's hinted that The Joker killed uncle ben and Cletus Kasady killed Bruce's parents. It was awesome and in the first half the joker is just terrified of Carnage. Not something easy to do to the joker.

There was and no they didn't work perfectly because Carnage kills randomly.
So imagine Joker only super crazier and with superpowers.
Also Carnage is so in sync with his Symbiote that unlike Eddie, he refers to himself as "I" instead of "We". He also send his tendrils through phone lines.
Carnage is a BAD ASS villain, maybe the only Rated-R Spider Man Villain...Love it...
If they made a movie with Carnage it wouldn't be good unless it was R rated and I don't see them taking that path...
I think if they wanted, they might could release a safe version to theaters and a more uncut and uncensored version on dvd, but I only see Carnage in a animated movie where it will most likely be TV-14

He is the character that deserves to be in a movie the most, because we never had a real adaptation of the character, not even in cartoons. The best version is the one in the Animated Series, but he is not really brutal, he doesn't even kill people. WE NEED BLOOD!

Carnage is clearly more dangerous and more powerful than Venom, but I think that has to do with his host's inhumanity and super psychotic nature. Venom is much more of a likable villain. But I love Carnage's origin. Kasady having to slit his wrists in order to bring out Carnage is so dope. I just wish screen adaptations (big and small) would show these two supervillains their proper respect instead of giving all the glory to the Goblin like anybody gives a flying fuck about the Osborns and their cry baby moody antics. The best villain is a hero's opposite and that IS Venom. As far as I'm concerned, every other Spidey villain took a back seat as soon as Venom and (later) Carnage were created.

WayneAnime Venom comes like a darker version of Spider-Man. He even even has the jagged spider symbol on his chest. We can disagree on this, but in my opinion he is totally Spider-Man's opposite.
I read that spin-off where Osborn became the Iron Patriot and all that. I HATED it. lol I really really dislike the Green Gobliin. He's super corny. BUT, this is just my personal preference. It's clear that he has been Spider-Man's biggest villain throughout the comics but I still think Venom is the most interesting and most fun villain in Spidey history.

Alright, you got me. I actually just recently realized how important Doc Ock and the Goblin are to the Spider-Man universe. And I realized how jumbled the Venom storyline became later with all the different symbiotes that were pretty much just created for their cool factor. In seeing this in the comics, I realized how little respect has been paid to Venom and Carnage. Doc Ock is a badass villain I have always liked but I just have never liked the Osborns. They're just really annoying. lol
But yeah, the Goblin is HUGE in the Spider-Man universe. I can't ignore that fact. But GOD, he's annoying. lol

Don't know why the other guy brought superman into this, but even then he's not the most op character in comics, you know what I mean? There are several that could beat him, such as galactus, the spectre, captain atom, MM and many more

i just thought of something scary, imagine if either the venom symbiote or the carnage symbiote bonded to the incredible hulk ... DAMN
They did that with an issue of 'What If?'. It went something like this: The symbiote stayed on Parker and eventually killed him, then jumped to the Hulk. Hulk gets drained down to where he's permanently Banner. The symbiote then jumps to Thor. Yeah, that was insane since it retained the powers of every metahuman it was attached to.

If you get the chance, read the Spiderman story Maximum Carnage, in that one both Venom and Carnage were equally cool, but Carnage clearly was more scary.

I wonder who will play Carnage I can only think of two actors who could play him. Cameron Monaghan who plays the Joker on Gotham after all he does resemble Cletus Kasady he even mentions he wants to play him. The other actor i can think of is Jackie Earl Hailey after all he was amazing as Freddy Krueger.
I guess they decided to create Carnage...so Venom could become a hero or at least a anti hero/ vigilante!

Nah, it's because while Venom was the evil version of Spidey, Carnage was the nightmareish version of Spidey, a far more terrifying villain.
Venom will always stay a villain to me.

I love how one of the most terrifying evil villains in comic book history, Carnage, is a redhead. And that's not a slam against redheads, I'm saying that out of pride.
I see a lot of people comparing the joker and Carnage but where the Joker is more a manipulater and a schemer Carnage could not care less about the outcome he just wants to split some skulls the thing with the joker was he always seemed to have a point where he wanted to prove how insane the world is or just case chaos. but the powers and theme of both of these characters are more an outcome of the heroes they fight. Carnage Will always be one of if not my favorite badguy One who just enjoys getting his hands dirty a sick mind, no point no scheme just kill, compared to a force of nature, even when they gave his host a lobotomy when he escaped the city still went into High alert and had shelters to hide encase he escaped.
Very true, the joker, being psychopathic, has no remorse or empathy, but ultimately seeks to prove that anyone can be like him (immoral) in a state of anarchy because of the lack of consequences and the panic. Carnage, is more of a sadist, he takes pleasure in inflicting pain on others and doesn't seem to care abut anything else.

But if you read Deadpool VS Carnage you see Carnage takes pride in no one being able to predict him, and seeing life as having no patterns. Actually, Carnage considers itself one single entity. The symbiote is bonded to Kasady through his blood, as opposed to Venom being bonded simply through external skin contact. Venom calls itself "We" because they are two separate entities, Eddie Brock and the symbiote, because Brock can still rid himself of the symbiote with better ease than Kasady. A small cut is enough to unleash Carnage.

Believe it or not Carnage is actually black with a LOT of red highlights. You see, venoms original spawn was black, and then it entered a cut on kasady's hand, and it mixed with his blood and turned into a black/red super monster.

I meant Venom is stronger when it comes to physical strength, Carnage is just ,more resistent, and intellegent.
No mention of the fact that because of he is the off-spring of the Venom sympiote, he, like Venom, does not trigger Peter Parker's Spider-sense, making him even more dangerous.
Only the power of rock can stop Carnage.
Joker's violent tendencies aren't only major attributes though. It's his clown-like approach that makes him so chilling and thus allows him to feature in movies without losing much of his oomph. Carnage on the other hand is all about the blood, pain and gore. His a monster in the purest sense of the word.

the story i learned about was carnage is an alternate dimensions spiderman, where he willingly bonded with venom and was in fact a supervillain.

I heard in one of the Spider-Man comics, there was the issue that Ben Reilley (one of Spider-Man's clones) had to go to Ravencroft to stop Carnage until the Carnage Symbiote bonded with Ben and creating the creature called Spider-Carnage(awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
If Sony allowed Raimi to make the Spider-Man 3 movie that he wanted, Venom could have been brought in later on and that would have opened the door to Carnage finally making it into an R rated Spider-Man movie.
There's Amazing Spider-man 2, but I remember Spider-Man 2. Now that was some proper VHS-level action, bro. (I was quite young so I can't remember the plot at all- I can just remember how bad it was and I think it was VHS)

Good idea, Venom and Spiderman versus Carnage. Story: Carnage, an experiment gone wrong, it has infected one of the Scientists, and has spread all around his body, making him Carnage. Spiderman and Venom must team up, before he destroys the city.
Spider-man in these movies had to make his own mechanical web shooters which makes him more vulnerable. In the comics he had to work with Venom and he had experience he just couldn't beat him.
I just hope Carnage will have an appearing in Venom
