When this archetype first came out, I instantly went "The Virgin Aleister vs The Chad Clavis". I mean, they both have attribute-related extra deck mechanics centering around a single person harnessing demonic powers. But Clavis actually seems to have a friendship of sorts with Maphteah, he's inclusive of all the different summoning types, AND his demons follow a strong consistent Key of Solomon theme. Compare that to Aleister's hodgepodge of random demons that he only Fusion summons when needed, being apparently just a pawn of Aiwass, and getting trapped in the Spellbook tower after being corrupted by his demon summoning. Lame! (im just kidding he's still neat, but) My boy Clavis' prospects in the lore are looking much brighter. Even if things turn out bad for him later on, the Magikeys still bring a really interesting, if a bit hard to juggle, gameplay concept to the table, with so much potential to expand! Grace Doriado is one of my favourite cards ever and I love to see any deck that can use her. Also, funny how Clavis and Maphteah's names BOTH mean key. He's the key who holds the key.
I like the thought of Magikey. It seems like it could be the next World Legacy in terms of archtypes that have a story with there cards. Seems like this archtype has yet to UNLOCK its full potential

It most certainly can! The unfortunate truth of the matter is, to make this a self-sustaining thing, money IS necessary, but it's a reality that a lot of any given audience, even for seemingly more legit work, don't pay in. And that's okay! I don't get anywhere unless I have an audience that watches and loves my work, so even by keeping up with what I do, you're already helping out in ways that I couldn't go without. And, my favorite part, seeing comments from people who genuinely love what I put out, lifts my heart up in ways that get me through the day. Considering that this is an older video, I would like to point out that Magikeys can work well with World Chalice/Legacy cards! Sure, it can’t work with All the related members of that Archetype, but the cards that do stand out like Chalice itself do wonders for the power of this deck.

I love that over a year ago Nova thought instant fusion would be banned sooner or later, but here we are in Ishizu Tear teir 0 format, a deck that uses instant fusion to an insane degree making kitkalos and getting full access to their engine off of just a single instant fusion. With that taken into consideration, it unfortunately feels like they'll unlimit it before they ban it.... We're stuck with it. I definitely think it's broken though. I used it in Drytron a few formats ago just to occasionally sack my opponent out of hand traps turn 1 by making millennium eyes before going too deep in my combo. People liked to hold effect veiler and things like it for your mu beta, and taking that option away from felt great, unfair, but very strong lol
The new support has been great for the deck. A simple Clavis + field spell + any other card. Can get you two negates and a pop on summon card. I'm enjoying the deck a lot.
Congrats on 5k subs dude! You deserve it! You've probably been my favorite YugiTuber to watch and listen to these past few months. I hope that you have a bright future. As a guy whose been playing since I was around 6, and now that I'm 22 my love for the game is still going strong. So strong that I've been doing Yugioh Tabletop for the past 3 years, I always gleefully wait for it every new set seen what type of new place tires are new strategies can be able to be incorporated. Because in my opinion there's not a lot of games like Yu-Gi-Oh where they have all kinds of unique strategies fitting people specific play styles as well as the game doesn't force you to play the game in a certain way you can always play the game in the way you're comfortable with. I'm now rambling! Oh I'm going to say keep doing what you do best explaining lore and analyzing archetypes and having fun doing it!

This archetype feels like it belongs in RWBY. Clavis: "This is my magical key, which is also a gun! It allows me to summon a giant mechanical beast that is also an artillery cannon, as well as a spiky doggo and a giant dragon!" Ruby: "Are the last two also guns?" Clavis: "No, but they are walking safety hazards so..."
A card that should be paired with the Magikeys and the varied Normal monsters used for this deck is Archnemeses Protos, which can also take advantage of the varied attributes of the in graveyard normal monsters

This archetype makes normal much USEFUL and make an incredible plays... This is one of the archetypes that can revive the spirit of the NORMAL monsters... 😉😉😉
I'm probably just seeing what I want, but Clavis' hair reminds me of King Solomon from Fate/. I'm going to act as though this was intentional on the designer's part, seeing as this archetype draws inspiration from Solomon and his Goetia.

Level 4 Tuners...Level 8 Non-tuners...Yeah, I think I know where the main Synchro is going: a Level 12 Synchro that has an effect when it's Synchro Summoned using only Ritual and/or Fusion monsters. I think it'll be very interesting to see the big bad Magikey Synchro to be a FIRE Insect, but a LIGHT Fairy would...maybe make some sense. There would also be a Level 8 Synchro using a Ritual/Fusion user and 1+ Normal Monster non-Tuners. Maybe the theme here would be Insect power armor not unlike the Inzectors. Or perhaps some heavenly thing if we're going with the Fairy route. Xyz...How about some vehicles? The Rank 4 would take any Level 4 Magikey or Normal Monsters. Clovis would ride a motorcycle or hoverboard or something cool like those while the Rank 8 would take any combination of 2 Ritual, Fusion, or Synchro Monsters and have him ride a submarine or some other underwater vehicle (though it would be in the theme if the monster would be something other than a machine). Something something element based like detach to have effects based on the attribute detached.

My train of thought is that since meltdown prevents interaction when a card or effect that includes fusion summoning is activated. There's no ruling on how it would interact with the magikey spell, but I think it would prevent interaction even when ritual summoning.
I've been wrong about this in the past, but since it doesn't separate them by, like, bullet point, I THINK you're right. My only misgivings at this point are A) The field spells are going to naturally conflict, and B) Invocation will banish material from your grave, so you'd be kneecaping yourself unless you only use your opponent's grave, and Plunder Patrolls have taught me that's not very effective xD
I could see that! It would make it easier to get normal monsters onto the field, and they COULD still help with putting different Normal Attributes in the grave if you pull some shenanigans.
I'm so sad at how underwhelming this archetype is... I just love the art and the concept. Too bad it's weak. T_T I'm still trying to make it strong but after watching so many other decks on this I think the deck just has a hard limit that situates it in the realm of never tournament worthy. T_T

I'm still trying to make it strong but after watching so many other decks on this I think the deck just has a hard limit that situates it in the realm of never tournament worthy. T_T

A normal monster based ritual/fusion/(possiblely)synchro archetype that has really original card design? What was Konami thinking!? Get back to designing more synchro combo decks. I am very disappointed.
