I loved the Sweet Victory scene in the Band Geeks episode as it ended with something good happening to Squidward. Almost all of the other episodes always ended with something bad happening to him but this episode ended with a literal sweet victory for him.
Squidward is usually entirely at fault for the horrible things that happen to him - whether because of karma, or the direct result of his actions - so when bad things happen, it's fair. But he didn't 'deserve' anything bad in Band Geeks. He was genuinely doing his best to teach everyone how to play instruments, so if they failed and it all backfired on him, it wouldn't feel very good to watch; no schadenfreude, no enjoyment. There are a few other episodes that follow in a similar vein to this, and they're all pretty good

As kids/teens, we weren't over-thinking or over-analyzing shows/ media for things like character development, literary indepth, theme, comedic writing, coherency, etc., we were just "in the moment" and blindly enjoying ourselves, ya know?
But as an adult, when you do over-think and analyze the show, you begin to understand and appreciate just how clever, well-written, and timeless it is (the first three seasons that is). No other show really has the same charm of old school SpongeBob. You should be looking back at the past in a more optimistic way and be happy and thankful you grew up with it like I did ❤
I can't believe this was replaced by Sicko Mode. Why would they ruin a potential chance to have a memorable halftime show, only to give us this Sicko Mode crap. It originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on September 7, 2001. The episode received widespread acclaim, with many fans and critics considering it the best episode of the entire series.

I have to agree even though I like Travis Scott. But this song is just pure emotion. It would have been great.
P.S. Please don't shoot the messenger. RIP Hillenburg + Our Sole Chance At a Proper Super Bowl sendoff...
The buildup and drama in this episode of SpongeBob was a truly legendary experience. It reminded me of going to night football games when I was a kid and feeling the brisk air bright lights of the stadium. True nostalgia.
Greatest SpongeBob episode ever! It was the one time Squidward finally had a moment of triumph.
RIP Stephen Hillenburg. I will always remember all the times i laughed and enjoyed spongebob during my childhood.

I loved the Sweet Victory scene in the Band Geeks episode as it ended with something good happening to Squidward. Almost all of the other episodes always ended with something bad happening to him but this episode ended with a literal sweet victory for him.
There's also another episode where a famouse band heard squudward play good melody on the clarinet
That's why this episode is so special. 😊
Thanks Captain Obvious
@@NightCloudIThanks Captain Obvious
Squidward is usually entirely at fault for the horrible things that happen to him - whether because of karma, or the direct result of his actions - so when bad things happen, it's fair. But he didn't 'deserve' anything bad in Band Geeks. He was genuinely doing his best to teach everyone how to play instruments, so if they failed and it all backfired on him, it wouldn't feel very good to watch; no schadenfreude, no enjoyment. There are a few other episodes that follow in a similar vein to this, and they're all pretty good
Band Geeks has to be one my favorite SpongeBob episodes mainly since I was really happy to see Squidward finally get the sweet victory he deserved
I’m still waiting for this to be played at the Super Bowl’s half time show.
Band Geeks reference was in the Paramount+ Super Bowl commercial. It much better than that shitshow the NFL pulled 2 years ago

thats not possible unless by kid you mean when you were 2 years old because the episode "band geeks" was released in 2001, which as far as i know was the first time the song was heard, and for you to be an adult you would have to have been born in at least 2004, meaning you were at least 3 when you heard it and i just realized how much of an idiot i am because your technically a kid until your 18, so im a dumbass

As kids/teens, we weren't over-thinking or over-analyzing shows/ media for things like character development, literary indepth, theme, comedic writing, coherency, etc., we were just "in the moment" and blindly enjoying ourselves, ya know?
I miss those days. I miss forgetting about the future to enjoy the moment.
Ah, to be back at those days, well, at least hearing songs like this takes the soul back even for only until the melodies are over...still bliss☺️
