This song was actually intended for the movie Rocky III. But was replaced with the ever popular "Eye of The Tiger" so it was used in The Karate Kid instead. Anyway Karate Kid is still one of my all time favorites and that classic 80's montage at the end wouldn't be the same without this song.

Brought here by wikipedia. Apparently this song was supposed to be used in Rocky 3 but they went with "eye of the tiger" This came out on the Adam Corolla show when asked about why it says in the lyrics, "you've been here before" when he was at his first tournament, while the song played.
I heard this in the 80s and here and there used on other stuff. I never watched any of the KK films but i think Rocky used it too, or i am mistaken. I didn't even know the singer. I may have mistakenly assumed it was Survivor. I heard it recently on Regular Show, and here I am.
I just got done vaccuming, taking out the garbage, scraping down an uneven bathtub paint, AND set up posters outside for things I'm selling, all tonight, all while it's getting colder! It was quite a bit of effort for someone with a low constitution, and I was only motivated by getting scared of seeing a person judge it when they see it tomorrow (that's not fun), but strangely, I think I've gotten a little better at speedrunning chores or just pushing myself to succeed. I think I've also gotten smarter at getting the jobs done; packing garbage in one bag for least amount of trips and least amount of hard lifting, and using a metal knife to scrape when I had no better than a plastic scraper that I struggled with before. Fear maybe shouldn't have been the motivator because I don't feel so good about the accomplishment, but I am at least happy that I never stopped to leave any work unfinished. Celebrated with this song now. That's good. What are your accomplishments tonight?
