Awesome to see you again Cayla! At the CSUN assistive tech conference in LA a few years ago they had an Escape room for the blind! The best part was that in order to escape the room, your team needed to have both low vision and totally blind members! Also, I saw "Puffs" off-Broadway in New York and it was fantastic! Such a fun show!
I found your channel maybe 2 weeks ago when I was searching for LCA folks due to my VI baby. I binge watched everything, so I’m glad you uploaded a new video. :)
Thank you for sharing; glad to hear from you again. I found your videos this year. About the concerts, and other outings: I imagine it was disappointing to not be able to see. You are braver than I to dress up in the Taylor Swift costumes! Blessings upon your continued, if you choose to, actions towards expanding your family.
Happy new year Cayla . Great to have another video from you and congratulations on completing your 2023 goals. Best of luck with your goals in the new year and wishing you and your family all the best.
Hi cayla! When i took ballet growing up, i had a teacher who gave a lot of one on one instruction to each student in a class of 4. Whenever we'd learn some steps, the teacher would work with each student one by one and give verbal instructions like bring your left foot out to the side and then bring your right foot to where your left foot was. Hands on instruction was also provided
So glad you’re back! You’re such an inspiration. I also have RP and a little remaining central vision in one eye. I let it keep me from doing things I want to do and after watching this video I’m really going to try to do better. One book I really enjoyed this year was called Better than the Movies by Lisa Painter. I also enjoyed the prime video series The Summer I turned Pretty. A Grammy party sounds really cool. I’ll have to suggest it to my mom. I look forward to seeing more of your content!
I missed you it’s like I haven’t seen you in a while. Nothing like blind humor. As far as dancing goes when I moved into my new house they have plastic floors when it gets wet and I’m walking around and of course can’t see it’s wet. I do a new kind of dance it’s sort of like a Hip-hop tap dance with lots of arms flailing around and grabbing for the wall but I would not recommend you try to do this. Thanks for the video as always it’s great I would rather have good content then quantity anytime it’s good to know you’re still fighting the good fight and plugging along. Wishing you the best and 2024 and thank you for seeing us through another year take care of yourself you and Ethan just keep going. Don’t look back I think that’s enough pun
I am legally blind and went to an escape room last year for my cousin's bachelor party. It was difficult to participate and I didnt want to ask anyone for visual assistance, so as to not be a bother. I felt like I was in the way several times. Book recs: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gayman, Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
I had a baby girl she's 3 months today and got my engagement ring its heart shaped I had said yes months ago. Im reading the woman in me by Britney Spears its the only new book I got this year. But I plan to get more banned classics.
If your looking for video ideas I have a rare genetic syndrome i have BBS Bardet Biedl Syndrome I could talk about it in a video I have RP some central vision left
Glad you’re doing well. I look forward to new content in the new year. Take care.
