Good video brother. It all comes down to the consumer. If like me you work pay check to pay check and have just paid £2000 outright for a new Rig but don't have much more to spend on a mouse then you cannot go wrong with the Essential.. If you're all set up and can spare the extra buck then you can't go wrong with the V2. Had my Essential for 6 months and it has served me well.. Will upgrade probably next year.
This is so true, the next year is financial recovery and buying cheaper upgrades to satisfy the FOMO of new parts coming out 2 months after you just built your rig.
Hmm, I got a few different deathadders it seems, haha. I have the essential, the V2 and the Elite. The grips on the side are rubber for all but the essential, but I know I have another one at my mom's place that was possibly the Elite...the grips are rubber, but they started flapping I don't think that will happen with the V2 because the rubber grips are more built in... I do kinda get you on the feel of the V2 vs essential. The Elite is glossy, but the V2 and essential feel grippy. Maybe it's that the V2 is older, but it feels a little less grippy on the top than the essential. On my elite and V2, it is cycling between colors, but the essential is just green. No biggie for me. I think the color shift is cool and all, but not an extra $20/$25 worth of cool. I kind of like not having the DPI on the mouse...I keep pressing it accidentally and my DPI jumps up a bunch randomly and I have to click it to go back down. I guess I have poor control over my clicking when I'm in the middle of a huge fight... The cable for the Elite is a little thinner than the V2, both braided, and the essential is rubber. (I have the essential, the elite and V2 as well, but I was wondering why it was 20 vs 40 and if I had done something wrong.) I mean, I don't need the V2 or elite on all my mice. I will test the essential out in game, but it seems good in initial tests and if I just needed a few more mice for my extra PCs that I was building, I can't see the harm in getting a couple of the essentials for the price of 1 V2/elite. Thanks for the side by side comparison. Now I don't feel so bad for grabbing the black and white essentials, haha.
Great comparison. That wire kink made me cringe through. I'm still rocking a Deathadder 2013, although I did have to fix my scroll wheel at one point. Other than that it's been the best mouse I've ever owned. I would definitely get the V2 if I were to replace it.
@ArfatXeon the wheel has a plastic shaft that connects it to the digital encoder wheel that detects the rotation. That little plastic shaft got stripped on the end, so it wasn't turning the encoder. I replaced the shaft with a wooden toothpick.
Ahh... why do you remind me of Razer Viper Mini over and over again? That beautiful thing used to cost $20 which was unbelievable for the features it offered, and now it costs > $40 and remains out of stock most of the time. I really regret not buying it back then.
I was having issues with mice and their mechanical switches failing sooner than expected. Switched to the Deathadder V2 and because they are optical they wont break mechanically and its been rock solid since day 1.
The essential is just trash. Had the Roccat Aimo for three years now until it got the double click problem. Despite that it still feels like new! Also the cable is great. Bought it for 40 bucks back then. I will try the V3 then.
That seems too lite. My logitech darkfield is 168gms with the battery in and that's what I like. I think a lite mouse with a cable is not a good combo.
I can deal with a lack of dedicated DPI buttons but the Essential has the worst cable ever.
You tried buying a paracord cable for it?
@@jayme_13 is it heavier than the g305?

I agree, and to be honest it doesn't make that much difference to your experience or how good you will be at games.

who said Rgb doesn't improve performance?
3:40 good tip using rtings
4:25 is the V2 sensor better only because of more DPI? oh 4:33 the LOD

i was wondering which mouse is the most similar to the 2014 chroma? And btw are the dpi/sensitivity buttons annoying when u scroll on the v2?

what was the wheel problem and how did you fix it?

W vid 😁, I really wanna know how to setup a macro for my game
dahood 🤓

You can't really go wrong with either of them when it comes to performance.
I’m only going. To say it once if u don’t want to spend that much buy the razer deathadder essential
Love this review. Quick and straight to the point. Sub earned
Razer - DeathAdder V2 or Logitech G402 Hyperion
I already have Model O but I want to try out an Ergo mouse for my claw grip.. this shipping is so slow tho can't wait to try it
im still using the 2013 version have yet to find a mouse that feels as nice in the hand as this i got really long skinny fingers
Great video! Thank you.
Should I go for the V2 x hyperspeed? Any recommendations people??
I was having issues with mice and their mechanical switches failing sooner than expected. Switched to the Deathadder V2 and because they are optical they wont break mechanically and its been rock solid since day 1.
Deathadder has nearly double acceleration and ips speed than essential.
The essential is just trash. Had the Roccat Aimo for three years now until it got the double click problem. Despite that it still feels like new! Also the cable is great. Bought it for 40 bucks back then. I will try the V3 then.

Idk is it just my death adder but the middle mouse button takes a bit more pressure to activate
Great video!
Thank you!
Viper mini or deathadder v2?
Viper mini
U keep pumping out these vids too fast I CANT KEEP UP
Lots more coming, thanks for always watching!
@@Tekify it’s always a pleasure to watch ur awsome vids
Dont forget pple its Razer, who have shitty Quality Control. Just do yourselves a favour and buy other alternatives.
the Essential has shit scroll wheel. it starts scrolling backwards within a couple of months. and i seen a lot of people have this issue. avoid.
Bro i had this mouse for 7 years, the click finally gave up, but the scroll click stopped working entirely a month or so into having it
yeah I have the original '13 deathadder and it scrolls backwards for as long as I remember
Mean while the death adder essential bieng the most expensive mouse i own 😭
I can lift weights so weight iisnt a big deal to me
ARE THE SIZES OF THE MOUSES EXACTLY THE SAME?
yes
i think essential is wider 1 cm
Let's go Tekifyyy!
Let's go!!!
why do u got so few subs, it doesnt make sense
Funny. My essential has a braided cable like the v2 here has
Yes, but the braided cable of the V2 has better quality and is more flexible.
It was updated with a synthetic after the remake of the original deathadder to the essential to cater more to Asian markets.
Deathadder Essential blows the V2 out of the waters due to the price. V2 defiantly not worth it
The Razer Deathadder Essential feels so trash! Feels like any 15$ Amazon Mouse
Thats what it is
In India its 11$
😮
Noicer
both have doubleclick left button problems after lot of gaming.
The Deathadder V2 shouldn't because it has Razer's optical switches I thought?
@@Tekify unfortunately not. The death adder v2 that I used for around 2 years got a double click problem that’s unfixable.
I think they updated it at least once, I think the newer one should be okay. Not 100% though
