Love the show, Alain. Going on my first black bear hunt in October in Idaho, about halfway between Missoula, MT and Lewiston, ID. It's a graduation present for my youngest son. Been watching you have fun for years, now I'm gonna finally go after something besides white tails and feral hogs.
@@JAlainSmith one of my kids lived in Portland for a year, and moved eastward last summer. She said when Seattle and Portland were good, they were really really good, and when the two cities were bad they were unimaginably bad. I feel badly for normal people who live in California, Oregon, Washington state
It looks amazing there. Good to see you got 2 nice bears. Also good that you showed the follow up on the second one. We all know these things happen if you hunt enough. You tracked him and you got him. And he looked well worth it!
Hello again Alain Smith. I am a Canadian born in Toronto Canada in 1954, and I hunted/harvested a mountain Grizzly bear near Toad River, British Columbia with my Winchester 70 post 64 in .338 Win Mag in September of 1986. Your video's have inspired me to dream of and plan to plan a South African Cape Buffalo in the next years. Tanzania or? Please let me know the name and contact info of your hunt consultant. My main questions to you today are: a) are .375 H&H cartridges sufficient for a Cape Buffalo, and with which bullets, and b) which bolt action rifle would you personally prefer and suggest to me, either 1) a new current WINCHESTER 70 SAFARI EXPRESS with pre-64 styled round claw feed iron & sights in .375 H&H or other caliber??, or 2) a new SAKO 85 KODIAK stainless with controlled cartridge feed in .375 H&H with iron sights? And what low variable new detachable scope, if any, would you recommend to me for this new rifle purchase and my dream hunt? I await and appreciate your soon reply to me. Andrew, today still in Lviv ps: thanks to you in advance
Winchester 375 HH with claw extractor is perfect for everything in Africa and especially buffalo. Tanzania is more expensive than South Africa but the buff are truly wild there, but a South Africa buff hunt is a great time as well. Adam Clements Safaris in Tanzania or Links Wild Safaris can set you up on a hunt. Go get 'em!
It's been a while my old, uhhh..., I mean my younger friend. I see you're staying close to home as of late. That is some beautiful country up there. I would think that you're itchin' to get back to the dark continent sometime soon? Your buff hunts are still my favorites. Can't wait. Stay safe & keep reading. It forces us to thimk...!!!
Hello J. Allen I have a question. Why don't you use Thermal Vision to find a Bear? Here in Germany the Thermalvision is very popular 👀to find the Deer. With the best greatings from Germany your Videos are awesome!!!
@@JAlainSmith OK in my German country it's legal to look of all Wildgame but it's only allowed to mount it on scope and shoot Wildboars in the dark night for other Wildgame the Clip on Thermal versions are not allowed. I'm your biggest fan!

You live in Seattle?! That is your most dangerous adventure of all!
Actually quite a ways outside of Seattle! Thank God

Nice bear, I always enjoy your hunts. 😀
What are the leather gloves you wear in most your videos? Thinking of getting myself a pair 😁
Boyt Harness sells them, really well made leather
A Black Bear is on my bucket list …BC is on my bucketlist ..and now you’ve just shown me how to tick off two of my to do
The bacon grease is a go to when things get tough...
Second boar was a smoker! Congratulations Alain!
Meskipun video anda hebat, jika pengulas tidak hebat tiada kenikmatan. Namun anda berbakat keduanya, berburu dan mengulas. Terbaik bossku!
This must have been 2021. Vancouver Island 2022 spring bear season had no shortage of snow. Biggest snow pack in years.
Nice best. Is that a Kimber rifle?

Very well done Sir! Thank you
Clear sunny skies on Vancouver island……if there wasn’t video Proof I would say you are lying
Is that the same rifle I saw you shoot buffalo with?
The Winchester from the year before is the one.
Great show though DON’T loose the bow! (It does get easier)
Nice hunt
Good job
Good real hunting!

Oof, a bear hunt. Looks like we are all going to have to bear through some bear puns in the comments.
Grin and bear it?
You’re getting me all grizzled up with those bear puns
Great bear!
