New More Powerful DIY Static Grass Applicator Pt1 (165)

The static grass applicator I showed how to build about a year ago had some limitations. For one thing it was not very powerful putting out only about 2,000-3,000 volts. Also the strainer basket was a bit small so didn't hold a lot of static grass and there was no way to put a top on it so you couldn't really shake it. Finally the mesh was pretty tight which made it hard for static grass longer than about 2 mm to get through. So I cam up with this design based on one like Luke Towan's with a bigger container with a larger screen mesh, and the ability to put out up to 20,000 volts! In part 1 I'll go over the design and components and show how to put the handle and container together. In part 2 we'll wire up the electrical components, power it up, and see if it works as planned.
