I got the Elite 1, and the bumpers kept breaking. So i learned how to fix them. Got a series II, and one of the paddle buttons gave out. So i got another elite series 2 and haven't had issues. Despite those issues, I love the elite controllers.
I love how the Elite feels and it's customization, but I hate that the stick drift is so bad. So expensive for a controller but got stick drift in less than 1 year. Also now my RB button no longer works, so I have had to use a paddle for it.
Yo the bumper issue was huge for me too. However, you can pry the front faceplate of the controller off, unhook the bumper buttons up top, and then clean out the little node there with isopropyl. Afterwards mine worked good as new. There are simple vids on YT about the process!
The core version there white model has improved alot for the rb and lb, I use to go threw them in 6 months with the black elite 2 and iv had my core white for over a year and it's still fresh and brand new minus the stick drift wobble tho that's no different maybe a few months better that's it but the rb and lb was huge
Hall effect sticks, microswitch buttons, stickier rubber grip like Scuf and turbo and macro settings for the buttons are the main changes I would like to see. The Dpad could be a little better too, more like the Genesis six button controllers. The bumpers may still be on a hinge which is easy to break, but not sure yet if that issue was fixed with the Elite 2. I think they should keep the stick tension adjustment feature, just make them hall sticks. Being able to toggle turbo on and off, and change stick sensitivity on the fly as the Guilikit King Kong pro 2 controllers do would be great too. Instead of having to go in a menu each time.
They should definitely take a look at the SCUF Envision controller I love the mechanical buttons for the DPAD and ABXY buttons. The G-Keys are cool too but probably not necessary.
they need to be made to last if they’re gonna be so expensive, they need all the bells and whistles as far as durability goes. hall effect joysticks, non membrane a b x y buttons, everything needs to be built to last or modular enough to be easily replaced.
I love my Elite Series 2! I've had it for about 2 years now and it my go to controller anytime I'm on my Xbox. I wish Sonys Dualsense Edge was even half as good as the ES2.
I really wanted to like the Series 2, but everyone I bought came out of the box with stick drift. So, if they add hall effect thumbsticks and clicky triggers, it would make for a compelling buy.
100% agree. I had to return the Series 2 to my local Best Buy 5 separate times because there was always something wrong with the left stick and then 1 of the 5 it was the Down button on the D-Pad. I ended up settling on a controller because it wasn't as bad as the others but still a very bad build quality. It's a shame too considering how expensive the controller is you would figure that wouldn't be such a well known flaw.

Needs to have 1. mechanical button like the razer controller 2. Programmable extra buttons like the scuff advantage 3. potentially extra bumpers like the razer wolverine. 4. Gyro 5.The hall effect sticks
NEEDS: • Hall Effect Thumbsticks • Faster Bluetooth Response Input WANTS: • Easily accessible color swap options to include an easier way to swap out the buttons
I hope they make the rubber gripping easily replaceable and would prefer a carbon fiber grip instead that doesn’t wear out like the rubber does once it starts to come off the controller.
Honestly sounds like more of the same more or less. I’d honestly maybe like a DualSense-esque controller, but maybe save that for next generation. The problem with this for me is because I LOVE the wraparound grips front to back and I feel like that makes stuff harder to work into true functionality.
About the Hall Effect becoming an upgrade option instead of them being built right in... Maybe there's some weird deal with Alps going on, forcing them to exclusively use their sticks?
Hall effects, 2 back buttons, two buttons between the RT/LT and RB/LB buttons (like razer did) and mechanical buttons is what I wish for, not a lot to ask for a 250$ - 300$ controller
I have been through 3 elite series 2 controllers all with LB and RB issues, my latest controller currently in use (warranty expired) the RB is completely dead does not respond and has very annoying stick drift :( for the price you pay for the V2 its crazy the poor quality you get from these controllers! fingers crossed MS up their game for the V3
My elite series 2 still going strong after years. No problems. Ppl don't take care of their things. My xboxs and Playstations were always clean and scratch free while friends were often neglected and treated bad
Damagecontroll the Elite controller is to expensive and sucks ass i had 2 of them and i took care of them they both broke within 7 month. Never gonna buy one again...

@@christinaedwards5084 The RB button has been an issue for me on more than one Elite 2. I love the controller but I hate the button issue. I couldn't keep replacing so finally took one apart to do a temp fix. It helped a lot but I never should've had to do it.

My elite 2 went bad, just bought a core to replace it, glad I didn’t have to buy a whole new one when all the extra parts work. Hope it stays working longer than a year and half, my standard controllers have lasted since Xbox one came out without problems.
I 100 percent want hall effect thumb sticks. And definitely a higher polling rate. Xbox is behind the Playstation controllers due to the fact that they cannot be set to a 1k polling rate. And I would want digital tap / mouse click options for the bumpers, buttons and triggers 😊
Hall effect sticks, grip rubber that wont degrade (my elite 2 has started to peel) and NO stupid ps5-like adaptive triggers. Having parts as removable modules just leads to structural compromises.
I gave up on official xbox pads when my last one got stick drift [ after going through atleast 10 since the 360 days] i got a gamesir g7, it has hall effect sticks and bumpers, a better dpad and lockable back paddles. Feels great and the sticks are super smooth and accurate. And it's 40 -50 bucks. The only downside is it is wired
I've had the original elite and series 2 and the only issues I had (on both) is stick drift and the rubber grips peel off. Both issues start after about a year of casual use. I'd like them to spend the extra money to get hall effect thumb sticks and ditch the rubber grips which would likely offset the added cost. Then we'd have a controller that could actually last a long time. Alternatively, they could make the rubber grips easily replaceable. I could care less about more lighting that'd likely hurt battery life.
Instead of Rumble Dual Six Axis motion sensors and hall effect Joysticks with hall effect triggers. Mechanical Switches for the buttons and thumbpads and 4 rear buttons.
I would like Improvement upon the quality of the buttons especially the bumpers. I love the elite 2. But my biggest issue was the buttons would start to wear out within a month or two
You know that Xbox guide button(That lights up) on the Elite Series 2 Controller that can change colors? Well, I love to see that on this new controller! And i would love it if it had the adjustable hair trigger locks like on the Elite Series 2 Controller
I have a big complaint about the elite 2 controller. I have had at least 5 of the elite 2 controllers over the years and every last one of them have had two major problems. They always literally start to fall apart. They literally just start to split open. The other major complaint is the stick drift. Now the next problem I have had is the back triggers getting stuck or not working sometimes. If they can fix these issues I will be extremely happy. I’m at the point that I’m looking for a better alternative to the elite 2 controller. The reason I keep buying them is for the battery life and the type c port and also the Bluetooth connection. I love that you can change a lot with the controller but all that becomes meaningless when my controllers literally start to fall apart for no reason. Even my current controller is on its last leg as the left grip is now flapping around and both triggers sometimes don’t work when not pushing at the perfect angle. At some point I may make a video of this current controller and the last one I used to show just had bad these issues are.
I have sega controllers that are almost 32 years old in really great condition and still work perfectly. I just want xbox controllers to last longer than a few months.
I like the RGB thumb stick cores and that line on the bottom base of the controller like Brad showed. Something that always tripped me out is that EVERY Xbox controller RIGHT NOW can actually change the color for the Xbox button, not just the Elite 2. I think they should take the Xbox button color to the next level for the series 3, that with the RGB I mentioned already would be dope... Give it more of a way to stand out from the other controllers **Yes you can change the Xbox button color on any standard Xbox controller... But only on Steam (PC). If you go to controller options on Steam you will see a way to customize it.
Ouch! Is reliability a new feature? Having owned an Elite 1 and 2 with both becoming definite in let than a year, I’m not sure I would ever get an Elite again.
Build quality over anything else. I have gone through several elite series 2 controllers because the AXBY buttons become unresponsive in less than a few if not right out of the box. I love the controller otherwise but I had to switch to a scuf controller because of this issue.
I’d like to see more PC Support.. like remapping paddles as they’re own buttons. When I play PC Games controllers don’t have enough buttons .. I’d like the paddles to be X2 A2 B2 Y2 …
i got the SCUF envision pro after having an elite series 2. The Elite got stick drift bad within 4 months and i like the way the envision feels and is customizable. However the paddles on the elite feel more natural on the hands.
Due to my launch series 1 still doing its thing without fail, I haven’t even had a chance to use my series 2 much. Can’t wait to see what improvements they make to the new model
I returned 4 of them before i got one that has lasted 2 years. Since Last summer the rubber handles are peeling off. The plastic under the rubber is all cracked, broken in places. The controler still work . I turned off the rumble i never adjusted the tension on the sticks, after the second controler developed drift.
They will probably do a refresh that has the game streaming built in. Ala the stadia built in WiFi so when streaming to a tv it’s connected to the WiFi instead of routing controls through the tv, like Stadia.
the only thing they need to change are those horibble stick drift potentiometer from the thumb stick with hall efect sensors and maybe a higher polling rate
My Elite Series 2 controller gave me 2 years of solid service before it started literally failing apart. I just bought a new one and would be slightly if a series 3 was coming out soon.
How about making the controller last longer than a few months. I'm on my 10th Elite 2 controller after one after another kept crapping out. With all the extended warranties I've bought with these 10 controllers @ $65 each time, I could have bought 3 new Elite 2 full-featured controllers, or 4 Elite 2 bare-bones controllers.
Have they improved stick drift? On my third one, I had to wait almost 6 months for it to start. I’d rather not wait that long before I can start drifting.
I still own the original Elite Controller. I like that you can use the rechargeable battery or reg battery; it's also held up pretty damn good. I have 2 elite controllers and both have lost the right bumper. If they do make the elite 3, how about they include removable bumpers so it's an easy thing to replace.

Only a matter of time until the paddles stop working too, they bend to the point they don't click before hitting the controller handle
My RB button has recently become Intermittent too.
Otherwise I have throughly loved that controller, lasted me 3 years flawlessly.
The core version there white model has improved alot for the rb and lb, I use to go threw them in 6 months with the black elite 2 and iv had my core white for over a year and it's still fresh and brand new minus the stick drift wobble tho that's no different maybe a few months better that's it but the rb and lb was huge
I thought it was cause I was playing to much dying light 2 and that was the jump button good to know it's moreso just shitty make
Hall effect sticks, microswitch buttons, stickier rubber grip like Scuf and turbo and macro settings for the buttons are the main changes I would like to see.
Overclocking hall efect mouse click triggers and customization is all I need
mouse click bumpers and just swap shooting to those so you can still fully pull the triggers for other games like gta
@@shap7296I’ve tried that, but the ergonomics of it don’t work for me . Not comfortable for long sessions.
they need to be made to last if they’re gonna be so expensive, they need all the bells and whistles as far as durability goes. hall effect joysticks, non membrane a b x y buttons, everything needs to be built to last or modular enough to be easily replaced.
So, if they add hall effect thumbsticks and clicky triggers, it would make for a compelling buy.
instant clicking non membrane a x y b would be awesome on top of those things, I too had drift fresh outside the box
@@syraxiis8692I’ve had 5 as well with in 2-3 months the sticks get super loose and stick drift. What I’m doing actually right now is fixing the joysticks myself by replacing them…. I’ll tell you if it works 😂… better then having to buy a new one
I love the elite series 1,2 but the LB RB buttons break and I take care of my electronic
Needs to have
1. mechanical button like the razer controller
2. Programmable extra buttons like the scuff advantage
3. potentially extra bumpers like the razer wolverine.
4. Gyro
5.The hall effect sticks
Haptics
Wow I remember doing this in xbox insiders. Longest….but best questions Microsoft ever asked in this survey
I hope Hal Effect isn't an elite only feature, I'd love to see this as the standard on all of Xbox's controllers
Lol good luck.
If they used hal effect sticks, increased the polling rate, and fixed other quality issues, the elite would be the best controller on the market
Mute mic from the controller instead of having to go into the menu that my biggest want.
NEEDS:
• Hall Effect Thumbsticks
• Faster Bluetooth Response Input
WANTS:
• Easily accessible color swap options to include an easier way to swap out the buttons
I have 2 Elite Series 2 controllers, over a year, with no issues. ❤ EM.
I’ve had my elite for 2 and a half years and going strong 💪
About the Hall Effect becoming an upgrade option instead of them being built right in... Maybe there's some weird deal with Alps going on, forcing them to exclusively use their sticks?
Magnetic hal effect switches, hair triggers for the err triggers, and 1000 hz polling rate would be huge for competitive games
Get rid of potentiometers replace with the magnetic ones.
I bought one brand new and the A button didn't work right out the box. I thought I was tripping when it missed the input but then it happened 10sec later again. Returned it same day. Wish I got lucky bc I really liked it. But won't buy again.
I used to think the same about controller abuse but my elite series 2 after 3 years is having problems with the RB button being intermittent.
@@christinaedwards5084 The RB button has been an issue for me on more than one Elite 2. I love the controller but I hate the button issue. I couldn't keep replacing so finally took one apart to do a temp fix. It helped a lot but I never should've had to do it.
I'm loving my series 2 and will definitely pick up the series 3
@7:18 This has to be the most suspect wording I've ever heard to say "I used A.I."
Hopefully they make the sticks feel like a default Xbox controller and not all floaty
02:10 They need hall effect potentiometers.
The seires 2 thumbsticks are really bad. A neat concept, but added a tone of dead zone out of the box.
Also, enhanced haptic feedback and rumble.
I hope they dont feel cheep
08:00 i thought they wanted to add an interactive interface? Will they replace the top xbox led with a unique shaped oled?
Elite series 2 is the best controller I’ve ever owned. Please keep innovating.
Hall effect and rgb maybe hd rumble or adaptive triggers.
I gave up on official xbox pads when my last one got stick drift [ after going through atleast 10 since the 360 days]
i got a gamesir g7, it has hall effect sticks and bumpers, a better dpad and lockable back paddles. Feels great and the sticks are super smooth and accurate. And it's 40 -50 bucks. The only downside is it is wired
I want a handheld that doubles as a controller.
Bump buttons need improvement too. More tension on the joysticks too. It'd be amazing.
i just hope they put action hair triggers into it & not just trigger stops
Instead of Rumble Dual Six Axis motion sensors and hall effect Joysticks with hall effect triggers. Mechanical Switches for the buttons and thumbpads and 4 rear buttons.
Most importantly the quality control needs to be up to par having human inspections on controllers especially high end ones should be a priority
How many times was the word “Microsoft” said in this video?
Ive been using the same series 1 controller since 2016 lol its honestly a tank idk how
Me: "Microsoft can you fix stick drift?"
Microsoft: "Best I can do is RGB."
I would like Improvement upon the quality of the buttons especially the bumpers. I love the elite 2. But my biggest issue was the buttons would start to wear out within a month or two
Hall effects sticks
No Hall Effect Joystick Sensors (Immune to developing drift), no buy.
same as the series 2 but with hal sensors on the thumbsticks and mechanical switches on the buttons
Give it more of a way to stand out from the other controllers
**Yes you can change the Xbox button color on any standard Xbox controller... But only on Steam (PC). If you go to controller options on Steam you will see a way to customize it.
I didn't realize the XBox button was even RGB until I connected my XBox One controller to REWASD for PC and it lit up blue.
They should make compartments on the bottom of it for little weights to adjust the weight
i got the SCUF envision pro after having an elite series 2. The Elite got stick drift bad within 4 months and i like the way the envision feels and is customizable. However the paddles on the elite feel more natural on the hands.
Just keep all the Series 2 features and give us Hall Effect sensors, and I'll be happy.
Needs to have hollofect thumbsticks, Clickie buttons, buttons instead of arms for the back, mouse click triggers.
Due to my launch series 1 still doing its thing without fail, I haven’t even had a chance to use my series 2 much. Can’t wait to see what improvements they make to the new model
Mechanical tactile buttons for the controller and triggers. An two extra buttons like the razer wolverine ultimate
I returned 4 of them before i got one that has lasted 2 years. Since Last summer the rubber handles are peeling off. The plastic under the rubber is all cracked, broken in places. The controler still work . I turned off the rumble i never adjusted the tension on the sticks, after the second controler developed drift.
How about hall effects thumbsticks so wo won't have to change them at all
Hall effect joysticks should be standard across the board
I rather see an option to swap out sticks when it gets the stick drag
I want that trigger to be able to go down even further
They will probably do a refresh that has the game streaming built in. Ala the stadia built in WiFi so when streaming to a tv it’s connected to the WiFi instead of routing controls through the tv, like Stadia.
You can adjust the rumble
the only thing they need to change are those horibble stick drift potentiometer from the thumb stick with hall efect sensors and maybe a higher polling rate
I'm looking into getting an Elite Series 2. Should I hold off given these rumors (take rumors with a pinch of salt, I know).
Go ahead and get one. The 3 seems to be in the research and development stage.
Zero-Deadzone setting for sticks AND triggers, Gyro, and Trackpads!
We need more silent controllers with hall effect sticks.
Hall effect sticks and much better build quality, and I'm there.
Not having to replace it every 3 months would be great. The only change I really want.
as long as it goes back to swappable batteries, i'll get one. I will never buy a controller with built in batteries ever again. so inconvenient.
If they could do Hall effect sticks, oh lawdy!
I still own the original Elite Controller. I like that you can use the rechargeable battery or reg battery; it's also held up pretty damn good. I have 2 elite controllers and both have lost the right bumper. If they do make the elite 3, how about they include removable bumpers so it's an easy thing to replace.
Think the most important is fixing sticks from drifting...
They need to fix the bumper problem. I bought a damn controller and my right bumper doesn’t work and it sucks.
The ability to map keyboard keys to the controller made the elite series 2 the best controller I've ever used
I hate using anything else
