- Just a collection of many animated cartoons that showed and/or made fun of the famous 1920's-1940's actress from Sweden, Greta Garbo. Made for a school project. I encourage you to seek out even more cartoons, there were so many good ones I wasn't able to fit in the video.
Many clips were taken from www.GarboForever.com and their youtube channel.

She was taller than many of her leading men, often stood in stocking feet when filming with them. Her feet were not that big but her individual style of walking made them stick out.
Me (in Greta Garbo's voice): "Please go away. I want to be alone"
What's with all the gags about her feet? I do recall that she would occasionally be spotted walking on a street in Manhattan. It always made the news.
this is odd but apparently in brazil there's a word for lesbians called sapatao which mean Big Shoe for some reason. if you check out her biography it's shown that she was bisexual.
but i love greta a have acouple of her movies . but that might explain the big shoe thing
i guess she did wear size 7 which is what i wear so i'll never understand how they though that was big.
what an extraordinary compilation1 You did an incredible job. She was attached to Cecil Beaton, and had many love affairs in Hollywood, so information about her proclivities would be found in cross-referencing other's bios.
I didn't know the cigarette girl was suppose to be Greta Garbo. She was more beautiful then that.

You forgot about Mickey Mouse 'Thru the mirror' (1936) with Mickey dancing with queen of hearts.
hahah i remember watching this back in the 90s when i was growing up and disney embraced the classics. i hate how noone cares about classics anymore in any way.
@SternSuperManiac I pretty sure she was 5 ft 7" and some sources will say her shoe size was 7 and others say 7 1/2 (american/canadian size). What i'm not sure about is why they made fun of her shoe size, she seems like she was a very average

she didn't have big feet. the joke was created to explain the reason her lower body was very rarely included in a film shot.

About her feet, she did have a way of walking that seemed to make her feet stick out.( I too am 5ft 7inches with size 7 feet !) Perhaps as others have said, she was taller than other contempoary Hollywood actresses.

Can you imagine Greta actually watching these? She would have been like WTF guys really? My "Feets" (she actually did says feets) aren't that big!!!" Hell what am I talking about, she'd see one of these and walk away.

@taylorann1119 That's tiny...mine shoe size is much larger and I'm 5'3, petit haha...now I feel bad but GOD do I loveeee Greta Garbo. I am slightly irked at these but imitation (whatever kind) is the sincerest form of flattery

these are funny but the dont look like garbo at all. greta garbo was gorgeous. i dont know why they play on her eyes and lips so much. that caricature doesnt look like her not even a little bit. youre supposed to be able to make out who the caricature is!! the only reason i know who this is is because someone told me. and whats up with those feet? i didnt know greta garbo had big feet.
