I am new to soft pastels. I love watching your videos. You are the BEST and I have watched hundreds! I am hoping you will do a scene with a rainbow in it. No one else has one that I can find. I will keep trying all your scenes! Thanks so much!

I don't use fixatives. I use frame with glass and a mat. Or I put tracing paper on top of the work so that there are no mechanical effects during storage. My favorite paper is Pastelmat, Canson Me-Teintes Touch. For fust sketches, I use ordinary sandpaper, granularity 800 or 1000, size 23x28 cm

I do not recommend using a white sheet.
For pastels, you need to take a tinted base.
