I love old philips speakers! They always sound really nice and looks cool! I have a pair of vintage 8 inch paper surround Philips doublecone speakers, i might make a video from them, or i will include them in a video about old fullranges from the 70s!
In my opinion speakers didn't make such progress in the past Years Ok they can handle more power these days and the bass performance has increased but overall nothing innovating So old and they still sound like new Amazing
I have repaired alot of old speakers from the 70s and in my opinion, newer ones might sound a bit more "direct" if it makes sense. But they are really not really worse than newer ones. The only difference might be the bass playblack, modern speakers use more bassreflex chassis while older ones do not.
Can't agree. Majority of modern speakers was intended for handling more power, but engineers have reduced their sound quality and sensitivity. Old speakers were designed to be effecient, not abnormally powerful or beautiful looking with those plastic cones and dust caps. So, old speakers are usually better than modern ones in doing their main job, and we love them because of that.
What a wonderful pair of speakers! Old Philips drivers will forever be in my heart!
Thank you! Same here!
Very beautiful driver!!!!
Thank you!
