@@Skrappie thanks I ordered aluminum plates off Amazon to make skates out of my jordans I hope they don't end up feeling like bricks on my feet that's my only concern now lol..
Where did you get your slate plate from ? And how are the skates holding up a year later ? Any tips, I want to make my own but I’m not sure which skate plates are worth the price and what makes a good skate plate ? Help lol
i got mine from a skateshop i go to its called EmpireSkates in upland. and tbh i haven't had any problems with both of them, so little that i even used them to make another set of skates. they were the cheapest ones i could get because it was starting to get a little expensive towards the end lol We've been using them just to skate tho so idk maybe you can grind or something 😂 i doubt it would hold too much of that. So if you're just starting and getting your first pair i would recommend the nylon plates and just upgrade them later when you start getting better 🤷♂️ yes worth the price so far lol
Mariel Maldonado They are called Chicks in Bowls metal insoles but tbh they were kinda expensive in my opinion.. 40$ 🤷🏻♂️ couldn’t find anything cheaper
@@ME-uf4fr Don't worry you're no bother i love replying to comments 😊But the metal insole you mean? that doesn't affect the wheels at all, you can get whatever size 👌
Hey im trying to make a pair with my old skates do you think i need an exact size 6 plate for my size six shoe or can i size down to a 5 ? ~ sorry to be a bother 😬
@@kellybartosevic4383 You should get your exact size. Only down size when for instance you have half sizes like 5.5 then you would down size to 5 but in your case the size 6 should fit nice and snug in your shoe. Hope this helps! 🤞😆 p.s. interacting with new people is never a bother to me 😁 Unless you're being a meanie😭😂
I want to know if these keld up good
Oh they held up amazing up until I decided to upgrade the plates to aluminum which help up even better :) definitely would recommend 👌🏼

@@Young937phoenix which ones did you end up getting?
Did you size up on the shoes or use your true size ? Your video was really helpful. Thank you
Johnny Merida Size up! Only half a size tho cuz you need more room to fit the metal insoles otherwise it’ll be super tight 👍 thanks for watching 😎
Great! I'm building my own quad and your video helped a lot, thanks
Ali Happy to help 👏🏻 I’m gonna be making a new one soon 😉
when ordering the plates do they come in pairs or individually?
Andrew Esquivel Pairs 🍐😁

Sorry to bother you but the size of the wheels matters? Because I don’t know when I buy the plate if the wheels are going to fit or not
