I’ve never been to Golden Corral. I though it was a Chinese Buffet, primarily, lol. For the prices you describe, it’s a great value for those who can eat lots of food, and are on a tight budget. I like your honest and fair review of the food, quality, and value. And you’re adorable, and so nice, so it’s fun to watch your videos!
13:16 and 14:33 Why are the customers behind you allowed to take their plates and get their own food while you cannot? And the bk women in 14:33 and 15:00 were wearing her masks wrong. Whatever virus comes out of their nose will land on the food and everywhere they go. They need to learn how to wear masks. Why 18:36 the women walking to her table can get her own plate of food while you cannot? And she didn't seem to be wearing a mask walking around.
My Mom used to make carrot slaw all the time, never had pineapple in it though. Sweet potato casserole is a dish a lot of people have for American thanksgiving.

Here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin our Golden Corrals have taco stations. I had dinner at Golden Corral just last night because a friend had a BOGO dinner coupon through his Golden Corral phone app. The Golden Corral location I ate at currently has the salad bar area closed down -- the server will bring you your choice of a small pre-made salad/Caesar salad, but I don't think fruits and miscellaneous chilled items like carrot salad/macaroni salad/tuna salad are available. There's also currently a smaller selection of desserts. Just in case you were interested, on the Golden Corral website you can pull up a list of all locations and see the 'level' of service currently being provided. Most locations are currently doing 'cafeteria' style in which the employees serve you. There are a dozen or so locations that are still allowing the normal self-serve buffet, and some locations are only open for carry out. My local Golden Corral is doing the cafeteria-style but face masks aren't required at this time.
I learned to make the sweet potatoes like that from family in the US.It`S a must for me alongside turkey.I cooked it at brought it over to norweigian friends for new years and they loved it.It sounded so weird to me but I loved it right away when I tasted it.
Here in San Antonio, there is a specific Golden Corral that I visit regularly. I love their home style and southern foods. They discontinued the dish I loved best which is stewed tomatoes and okra, delicious. But I also love the mashed taters and brown gravy, meatloaf, steak, beef stew with taters, green beans with bacon, and on and on......... I am able to get the senior citizen lunch special with a drink for under $10. For a single senior citizen, who lives alone and not to much into cooking, Golden Corral is a wonderful bargain. :-) I wonder if they are open now.....I just figured all buffets were closed due to CoVid. That particular Golden Corral has very fresh looking food! Looks like you and Mr. Blaine had a good time and ate a nice variety of food! That pineapple will help with your digestion for sure...as well as being delicious! Love fresh fruits! 😊❤
The banana pudding is one of my favorite items at Golden Coral. The only place I've had better Is at the Columbia Restaurant in Tampa & St Pete Florida. If you are ever in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and want to try Cuban food, you might want to try the Columbia. They have locations in Ybor City near downtown Tampa, and Clearwater. I use to go to the one on the St Pete Pier. But they closed it to rebuild the pier. The Ybor location has a Flamingo Dance floor show included with the evening meal. Very entertaining. I don't think they offer any food challenges though. Thanks for a great review of an old reliable buffet. It's great to hear what's new or changed there.

I love Gokden Corral!!! The diversity...the desserts...oh man. Luckily we have one in our town. 'I'll have to hit it up after I find me some SUSHI !!!!!!!!! Every Thanksgiving I make swert potato casserole....yes...with marshmallows...I love marshmallows! I'm on the road 5 days a week for nearly 3/4 of the year for work. I eat out virtually every meal. My co-workers shit on Golden Corral, but I've always enjoyed it.

I understand what your saying about the price of food. Very lucky here in uk. Most veggies are quite cheap imo. Certain cuts of meat are a bit more expensive,well what I would call it a bit steep,but then ribeye or fillet steak for instance is like,£24 and up in a tidy restaurant (not including London for example)- but those cuts bought in a supermarket will fetch you £4/5 or maybe six pound...depending where you buy.aldi and Lidl are top contenders for very reasonable prices and the bigger supermarket chains would be a bit higher. Our country is peppered with butcher shops and they will often command rime prices,but they cut your steak in front of you,there and then. Sorry for long spiel Joel Always love your buffet uploads aswel as the challenges.buffet is fave 🥰👍👍💪🏻
I have to say, I do like Golden Corral as well! I love their fried chicken! And steaks and fried shrimp are decent. Sides are good and hey, desserts aren't bad either, LOL! And yes, down here in San Antonio, we have taco stations! LOL Bravo, Joel!!!!

Hi. Yes the restaurant has regional food. I lived in nc for almost 20 years and used to eat there a bunch. They have awesome food. I remember a taco station and eastern nc bbq there.
Now that all the Old Country Buffets have closed down here near me in Washington State. I would love for more Golden Corral Buffets to open up near me. There's one in Marysville that was the only one for a long time then they opened one in the Puyallup mall. Because, the Old Country Buffet had a taco bar in the one near me that wouldn't be surprising me if it would have one here if they opened one near me. Your so right about Veggies being expensive unless there in season or on sale.
I grew up in the mid west and we always had a taco station... it wasn't like authentic Mexican lol but about what I saw you got... I always started with a giant nacho plate!

We have the same taco stand here at the golden corrals in Kentucky from what it looks like to me! You can choose your own shells, meat and pico/sour cream/ cheese etc..

My Golden Corral had Ice Cream made by a local creamery and sold in that area. This Ice Cream is not at any other Golden Corral. Its amazing.
