Halfway there! Your journey does make a no buy year seem less intimidating. I've been able to do a month or two. Maybe I'll try six months 😅

I was only ever able to do one month or so at a time before too, which is why I assumed I’d fail at a year. Best of luck, I’m sure you’ll do great ♥️

I’m coincidentally on a no buy that started October 1 as well… I haven’t intentionally decided how long I’m going to do it for, but you inspire me to keep going! Thanks for sharing and being so honest about your journey 💕

Just discovered your channel. I've been getting into slow fashion for the past year, and watching your no buy updates has been giving me ideas on how to make my current low-buy successful. Keep up the videos!

If you grow out of love for an item, you can always have the one in one out rule and sell an item in order to purchase another item. That way you're not using any of your savings. ❤❤❤

That’s a great way of keeping your wardrobe under control. I’ve done that before where i sold some bits of Vinted and then reinvested that money into a few new items from Vinted.♥️

I'm almost 4 months in now & only had 1 temptation that I thankfully did not give into. I was really needing to scratch that itch of window shopping, so I did and I'm really proud that I didn't give in..I learned that it helped keep me conscious of not needing anything & my Whys of the No Buy.
I've created parameters for when I begin shopping again next year which include buying one item per month IF needed, along with getting rid of one item, either selling or donating so I do not continue to over accumulate. I have a going list of what I "need" in my notes & It evolves. I've learned a lot about myself within the psychology of shopping. Oddly, I'm not super excited about beginning again, I have more of a neutral, logical attitude towards it...that may change though! 😃

That’s amazing!! It sounds like you’ve really worked through your shopping habits. I love the idea of getting rid of one item a month too, or whenever you buy something new. Otherwise things can build up again quite quickly. Well done on your 4 months 🙌 xx

You are doing well! I've been doing budgeting for 3 years as I am on a low income m! I have done the odd no buy month you realise whats really important! I even did it at Christmas time and on holiday. Sorry to hear you had a miscarriage but I think when people have a child it's natural to plan maternity wear or buy the child things...I think the best approach is not to go over the top with buying anyway good luck for the future it's not an easy thing to go through thanks for sharing.

I think budgeting is a great way to go too, as I don’t have a tonne of disposable income to be spending on clothes either. And this year has shown me I can spend that money on better things if I save up. Xx
