you can't just take away/add actions and goals respectively and come up to an improvised result. If there wasn't penalty for France at the first place, the match situation would have completely changed and it wouldn't even have come to Italy's equalizer or the so-called denied goal (my opinion) and even Zidane's header, so maybe there would have been 2-0 for italy, or either 2-0 for France etc..

I was 9 watching this WC, to see all this great players just amazing. routing for Germany but Italy beat them in semifinal and that was a great match. to see the great Lehman beaten by grosso in the extra time then del piero kills all the Germans hopes in that night, what a great memory
Being an Englishman I know we have always underachieved In international tournaments and every tournament leads to huge frustration, ridicule and disappointment but I would still love to have the team we had in this tournament back, they at least gave us some hope and optimism that we could win a tournament, maybe It is just nostalgia but we had some great players and some of course in the classic comedic way, some players that I look back on now and think how on earth did they get in the team (Downing, Lennon etc) but it was still much more fun to be an England fan then than it is now. Although we have some decent young players now who can hopefully go on and do well I still miss the team we had here as for me it was a great team.

Italy didn't deserve to win? 2 goals conceded all tournament (Zaccardo own goal vs USA and Zidane penalty in the final. ) 12 goal scored from 10 different players . Facts , not opinion
Plus the penalty was a dive, and clearly should not have been given, also worth noting that Italy was denied a goal in the finals after the officials inncorectly called offside. Should have been 2-0 for Italy full time, instead we got to see Zidane embarrass himself in front of millions lmao.
you can't just take away/add actions and goals respectively and come up to an improvised result. If there wasn't penalty for France at the first place, the match situation would have completely changed and it wouldn't even have come to Italy's equalizer or the so-called denied goal (my opinion) and even Zidane's header, so maybe there would have been 2-0 for italy, or either 2-0 for France etc..

Now watching this back you can see why Italy deserved to win this tournament because no opposing player scored a goal against them in open play in any of the 7 matches they played.

Being an Englishman I know we have always underachieved In international tournaments and every tournament leads to huge frustration, ridicule and disappointment but I would still love to have the team we had in this tournament back, they at least gave us some hope and optimism that we could win a tournament, maybe It is just nostalgia but we had some great players and some of course in the classic comedic way, some players that I look back on now and think how on earth did they get in the team (Downing, Lennon etc) but it was still much more fun to be an England fan then than it is now. Although we have some decent young players now who can hopefully go on and do well I still miss the team we had here as for me it was a great team.

bjehulk Cannavaro won golden ball quite rare for defender. Buffon along with Zoff is the best goalkeeper of all time. Totti, Del Piero? Legends. Nesta? One of the best defender too. Pirlo? Just another legend. And the team was just perfect. One autogol and one Gol just on penalty. That's just amazing
