There's something very odd about Robertson's disconnect from the audience here.
    * The setup is odd. No proper lectern, a bunch of old books to rest his notes on.
    * Despite his incredibly learnéd wit, his jokes go down like lead balloons.
    * He seems physically uncomfortable, almost nervous ... hardly normal for this confident man.
    * The organisers obviously had no understanding of this man's incredible personability. He should have been in a lounge chair, TALKING to his audience rather than this stiff situation.

I have experienced that being present, 'the room' can feel very engaged - yet, in comparison, when filmed and viewed that engaged atmosphere doesn't carry over in the recording. That doesn't mean it wasn't present. It seems this presentation is in relation to Robertson's book on this topic "An Inconvenient Genocide: Who Now Remembers the Armenians?". So, perhaps it was on his request that this is the content and setting ... perhaps it was a very law-focused crowd who were keen for this very content. I think he definitely doesn't have that impish glint in his gaze that makes him such an appealing, lively orator ... perhaps this topic is so close to his heart that he can be nothing but serious in expressing it. Still a wonderfully astute and ethical person worth listening to.

I thought he used the books well, not hiding behind a podium. Even his pause sipping some water to moisten his throat was well timed to accentuate the word genocide one more time.

I like how he made his own bookstand with books.

Descended from tenth century Christian Armenians I thank him. Perhaps Mount Ararat will be within Armenian borders again someday.

Presumably you jut copy and pate your silly comments on every Geoffrey Robertson video. Why do you have such a problem with him? Do you ever listen to what he actually says or just get hung up on his accent?

Who would strive to be an Englishman? That's an insult. Maybe 400 years ago, but today...not very likely squire.

You say the same think on all of the Robertson videos, and BTW, how long has Sydney been in And? Robertson was born in Sydney.

Do your fucking research on him instead of posting ignorant idiocy. Watch a few interview vids where he actually explains, in very good humour, how he came to speak like that. You're obviously one of those morons who can't think past "first impressions".
