This is great, I've been wondering why this has been so slow to hit. When this gets faster and more intuitive, the world is going to explode. Now just need it as a phone app.
@@theguidechannel once that happens it might actually be able to allow for near instantaneous language translation. Basically just tell GPT to translate everything you say into another language and then have the bot say it. There are apps that do it now, but I imagine Chatgpt is miles better than them at the moment. Imagine going to spain with a wearable device that uses your voice and translates what you say. Then imagine if the device can somehow pick up on what the other person is saying and translate their response back to you. Granted, it might be hard for the device to hear what the other person is saying. So, maybe both people would wear a device to start. We'd both hear responses in our own languages.

The chatGPT response/answer generated is not being converted from text to speech. I am on a 10.15.7 ? The extension worked fine ... Any suggestions. Thanks

Should work because you can use chrome extensions in the browser on your phone On your phone, open the Chrome app Chrome. If you haven’t yet, sign in to Chrome. Find the extension you want. Tap Add to Desktop. Confirm by tapping Add to Desktop. The next time you open Chrome on your computer, you’ll see a message that the extension was installed. If the extension needs some permissions, you'll be asked. To approve, click Enable extension.

Hi, try chaning the "Tone" option ..you can see the 3 options just above where you input the text.

Aslong as you have a chrome browser on the tv then hook up a mic you should be fine.

I found SpeakGPT has natural voice, more improvement in the case of robotic voice. Have you check?
