I use ChatGPT to practice french writing. It's amazing. First I ask it to produce a text in Portuguese, which is my native language, then I translate that text into french. And finally I ask the bot to give me his french version, which I use to compare with mine. I'm learning a ton of words and expressions and correcting my mistakes.
Another excellent use of ChatGPT is to engage in a natural conversation with it. ChatGPT has the capability to understand the progression of the conversation, wait for your responses, and if necessary, offer corrections, much like what happens during an interview.

The AI bots are very American English biased and if you're learning British or another English, you need to make that clear in your prompts. For example, the use of the present perfect tenses varies in different Englishes and there are some very mixed and incomplete results around that grammar point. It's always a good idea to check with a person if you have doubts. Having said that. This is still an incredible tool to practise and expand your English!
