When i did my AFF first jump one of the instructors had a hard time staying at the same height as me, since i fall exceptional slow apparently. He wrote in my logbook 'attention: this jumper falls very slow!!!' to warn future instructors. When i showed it to the instructor of my second jump he read it and reacted like this: 'falls very slow..hmm, so i think you don't need parachute then?'
Hmmm not sure about this one. ;) I don't think so since we are not sitflying with as a cameraman/woman. The wings on the camera jacket might come from having more stability and fall rate control but that's only my opinion.
Great video Catherine! I am learning to sit fly now so I use a freefly suit. You said sitfly suit is for people which are sitflying but I have noticed this kind of suits are normally used for camara men. You think I should consider buying one? Thank you in advanced ;)
The cameraman suits are a bit different. They have larger wings and rarely in 1 piece. ;) Sitfly suits are not really used anymore from what I know because the discipline has evolved. For a cameraman suit, it makes more sense if you actually work on the DZ and I would ask around because it's not always necessary. ;)
HI, I just got my Skydive-licence in germany and are now looking for the right suit. I don´t want to buy some cheap entry-level suit, because i belive that i will keep and use it for many years to come. At this moment i think it will be a freeflysuit without additonal handles, but i´m unsure about material, typ of cuffs and if i should buy a more loose or a more tight fit. A somewhat loose fit would probably be better, so that i can wear some isolation underneath during fall and spring. On the other side i weight only about 60kg, so I´m falling at lower speeds (I guess) Any tips or advice?
Maybe I missed that, but I saw people which do not use any specific jumpsuit at all. They jump in casual wear. I do not know whether it is legal (I thought some guard wear is needed)
Im pretty bad with physics, but... The heavier the skydiver the faster the speed, right? gravity * mass or something like that... So since im way lighter than most folks around (by 15/20 kg or 30/40lbs depending what you use there), those speed jumpsuits would make it up to the weight difference in terms of keeping up at the same falling speed, if theyre wearing a regular freefly suit yeah? Correct me if im wrong
Oh man, sitfly suit is really old. Even 12 years ago when I first started skydiving in 2007 sitfly suits were considered ancient. One extra suit to add that is still being used is a specific camera sitfly suit. Basically a suit with wings between the arms and torso meant for camera flyers to sitfly at RW fall speeds in order to get bottom up angles for shooting RW formations. This is a rather niche and a speciality suit.
Hey we appreciate your videos but I'd be nice if you could go more straight to the point, I've noticed it in all the videos. For example in this one there's 1 entire minute where we get no more info than what the title is saying. This makes it a bit more tedious to watch because it feels a bit like a waste of time. Asking for subscription could be done towards the end, and once is enough. Like we get what the video is about by the title, that's why we click in the first place, just get to the point and let us become more cultured skydivers. Just a constructive feedback. Blue Skies
I’m a former Military Free Fall parachutist and I’ve done sport skydiving. In my humble opinion, the Military method is the way to go for safety, professionalism and efficiency. I’ve seen too much wacky stuff at sport jump clubs.
*👇👇: Which type of suits are you jumping right now?*
Skydive Vibes free fly suit😊
LiquidSky RW with booties!
Super tight and bright RW suit for helping increase my fall rate and so people can always see me
RW with booties.
@@laurabrambach Awesome an other freeflyer!

What would you recommand for a new skydivers hwo want to buy is first jumpsuit and want to slowly start freefly?
I would say a freefly suit is a good idea since it works for both belly and freefly. ;)
Ok thanks
Great work as always :)
Thanks a lot! Had fun doing the "magic" change of suits. ;)
@@SkydiveVibes haha next time do a click to "magically" appear in the air
Thanks for the info, you are amazing
I enjoy watching your videos, do you think the camera jacket evolved from the sit fly suit?

You usually can if you are not a student anymore and if you jump your own gear.
@@SkydiveVibes my instructor told me that it depends generally upon dropzone. Some dp allows use casual wear, some not
Hey! What RW suit are you wearing in this vid?
Interesting,thank you for the information
Lovely video! Thank you ❤
Good job, 🐈herine!
Thanks Jason!

Yes, you would need a slim fit suit with less drag possible although this can affect your flying a bit.
or use a weight belt
Aprendo con la mas bella paracaidista!!!
What is the max. age?
How much does it cost to get skydiving license?

I jumped a Dean Westgaard PUFF SUIT in the late 70s.

I like the no suit, skydive NAKED!

Did you forget Camarasuit for camaramen/women?
Huge Gazongas, I like.

That was a really great story. 😀 How do you propose civilians do that? Or MFF when they want to fun jump? 😂
