Hi! Welcome to booktube! I am a mom and I recently started my booktube channel as well. It is so much fun to be able to have an outlet where we can share our love for books. I am looking forward to watching your reading experience.
Welcome to Booktube as well then! 🙌🏻 So glad to have a fellow mom on here (and glad I’m not the only one needing an outlet🙈) Looking forward to watching your reading experience as well 📚

Welcome to booktube! You got me thinking of whether I have read many Danish authors and I’m sorry to say it is only two - Peter Hoeg and Olga Ravn - her novel The Employees was wonderful and I recently bought her newly translated one about motherhood.
Thank you so much! And well done introducing me to a Danish author I don't know 🤣 Olga Ravn seems to have written quite a few interesting books, I'll definitely be checking her out 👀
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for sharing my Booktube Newbie Tag video! The bookish community has already exceeded my expectations 🥰 If you have any tips & tricks or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to me ✨

Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to you as well! Oooh, do you have some good horror recommendations? Love watching horror, but haven't read that much :)
@@literatureliz91 OH my goodness well since you asked..lol. You definitely don't strike me as an extreme horror girl,lol..so I won't go there..but I just read Frankenstein the 1818 text Classic book .fantastic book. But as I'm glancing at my horror section I'd also suggest perhaps..SHIVER by Allie Reynolds..perfect for a Wintery murder mystery..very Atmospheric its a 2020 release. and lastly for now..Lol...DISTURB NOT THE DREAM, by Paula Trachtman..1981...Fantastic read. If you like that haunted house kinda thing..lol..:)..well there's a few with different time periods for ya...You will be happy with..I hope said with a nervous tone...hahaha...bye cheers 🥂
@@toddbelanger1923 haha, yeah! I've heard that before 😆 But I actually really like the gothic horror like Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. All the old good stuff 🤣 Thanks for the recommendations! Definitely going to check them out :D
Hi! I just found your channel. I felt really curious when you said you could bring some of Denmark to the channel. I would love to expand my reading possibilities, so it would be great if you could recommend danish Authors. I wish you a great RUclips journey!
Of course! Unfortunately, there aren’t not many Danish authors who have their books translated, but here are a few 🙌🏻 H. C. Andersen - probably our most famous author. Try and go for the old, old fairytales. They are the best! Karen Blixen is a classic that everyone in school reads at least one book of 💪🏻 Helle Helle is a contemporary author with a minimalis writing style. Every word has a meaning 🙌🏻 Let me know which books you end up reading 🤩
My favorite Danish author is Sara Blædel, her Louisa Rick Detective series is fantastic! Ur if that's not your kind of thing perhaps try Tove Ditlevsen.
@@zachreads I have actually yet to read a Sara Blædel novel, but perhaps I should try to read the Louisa Rick Detective series soon :D Yeah, Tove Ditlevsen is something special. I haven't read anything by her since high school, so it's about time as well 📚
You know what, you're right! I looked into it and Henrik Ibsen is Norwegian and not Danish and I did mean "A Doll's House", not the... Thank you for pointing that out! I was so sure he was Danish, but alas no 🙈

Hello, you mentioned "The Doll House" who is that by?
I have read "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen but I thought it was Norwegian not Danish
You know what, you're right! I looked into it and Henrik Ibsen is Norwegian and not Danish and I did mean "A Doll's House", not the... Thank you for pointing that out! I was so sure he was Danish, but alas no 🙈
I'm surprise you are from Denmark. You sound like a British person, so I thought you were from England.
Thanks! I think it's because I've lived in London for a couple of years and then never shook off the accent 😝
She looks like she could be on the cover of vogue, don't you think?
Surely not me! 🙈
