so many people can relate. so inspiring to see someone hieimish opening up about it. in a non dramatic way. very factual. but realistic. thank you for bringing this topic to the table. so many will get chizuk.
Listening from Beit Shemesh, thanks R' Joel Shnitzer for sharing your journey with authentic vulnerability and honesty, very inspiring! Thanks Hashem i speak Yiddish:)
while the people in this podcast have had success in thereapy. i would like to put it out there, that therapy is not a fix all. just like not every medication works for everyone. not everyone responds to therapy. i just dont someone listening to this to think. ill go to therapy and my problem will go away. not every problem is easy to fix and not every person responds to the model of therapy. its a process to figure out how to use therapy. what is a therapist? what is the job of a therapist? before recommending it i think its important for people to understand what is the role of a therapist. what are things that are helpful to speak to a therapist? not every therapist is good for a certain issue. and not every therapist is good for everyone. i do think there is a lot to learn about the process of therapy. and its important to know when thereapiy can help and when its helpful to move on. and not be dependant on therapy. being dependant is not healthy either. i know there are people who think its good to go to therapy even if you have no problems but i disagree. based on my experience
Maybe in the future when finances allow we'll add English subtitles, but for now we feel there's a lack in yiddish speaking entertainment. (there are many great yiddish podcasts in English out there🤩)
