Really helpful and practical on guidance. It's no coincidence that you do this together. Mighty companions I would guess. Thanks again. Oh, also the ideas of stories intrigues me. Lincoln is a hero of mine and often made his points through stories.
Thank you for addressing that some minds experience unwanted influences in their guidance…. It’s critically important to learn to discern during the course of the spiritual journey. Thank you Circle of A for all your great work 😊 🙏
I feel I would like to add, to share a bit more. I never heard of the CAE edition before hearing you. I love the FIP version I have. Unspeakably beautiful. But the added commentary you share...it's just so very helpful. 💕🙏
As I listened to your wonderful discussion on listening, I heard some overlap with some of the foundational steps involved with remote viewing. Specifically, the need to quiet the noisy mind and get into a state of receptivity. In Remote Viewing one has to "discern" what they term as "analytical overlay", which distorts the accuracy of what you are seeking. Learning to know when your ego mind, in ACIM terminology is distorting Jesus or the Holy Spirits voice, thoughts, or images coming through. Just found it interesting. Thank you for the great discussion. Very helpful
Thanks guys! Love this channel, you speak of the course in ways that feels to me applicable in my life. I'm pretty new to the option of asking my higher self for guidance. I had some success with asking yes/no questions about desires that arise. Like, should i do this or not.
I've been waiting for Part 2. This is good counseling. I have received some clear guidance in my life, that I dared not follow, and it always led to something unexpected and important. Other times the source of the guidance was unclear, which left me frustrated. These 7 characteristics will be helpful in the future. Thank you.
JESUS--"I do only those things which I see my FATHER doing." JOHN 5:19. One must first ask in order to KNOW what to do. Our ESCORT sent from HEAVEN is both a GUARD and a GUIDE. Running ahead of the WAY is how we lose our way. HEAVEN always has our best interests in MIND. We are to follow the direction that brings us PEACE.
The Course doesn’t believe in hell as a place for damned souls because, in the Course, no souls are damned. God doesn’t condemn. The Course says hell is what we make of the present with our unloving minds.
That's very kind of you to respond to my comment so quickly. I've just discovered the sessions you both have been regularly recording, and they are gold mines for course students. One thing that has amazed me since starting to study the course a couple of years ago is how it redefines the meaning of old Christian terms such as hell, God, Christ, and so on, which had been distorted in the Bible, in church, and at home. Your piece on the soul was very helpful, particularly because you both explained it so well. Today, hearing Emily mention the Manual for Teachers saying something along the lines of "To follow the Holy Spirit's guidance is the way out of hell for you" was a very strong point to remind us of the impact listening to guidance can have. The day I realized I had been living in "hell" all these years on this earthly plane, my will to find a way out gained tremendous strength all of a sudden. Just a thought. Sending you love and gratitude for the hours of teaching you provide for free on this channel. Thanks again.
I love the idea of guidance but I’m scared of it. What if I wake up and I ask what to do and He says “go to the train station. Get a ticket to York” when I should be logging on for work. Yeah get it. What if the guidance appears irresponsible. There’s a particular important event to go to, and on that day guidance say’s don’t go there got to “here” instead. So you end up letting everyone at the important event down and can only say truthfully to “what aren’t you coming?”… well I got some guidance to go “here” instead. What if the guidance appears to just be very bad advice. I’m not being superficial here. I have a gut fear that if I followed guidance I will be in trouble and bad things will happen. Do people really leave their front doors in the morning and say “what direction shall I walk?” Or “what shall I do today”. What about their life, work and family responsibilities? I remember reading 2 books in the 90s by a course student who lived his life by guidance. Things turned out very ok for him. I wish I could remember the name of the books.
Hi Kevin! If it feels irresponsible, it's probably not true guidance. Also, legitimate guidance will have a lot of staying power. In other words, it won't just say "go to York" in a way that has you purchasing a ticket when you really need to be at work. If you're supposed to be in York my assumption is that the guidance will not be fleeting. It will come and stay until you realize it came for a reason. I've never met anyone who says "Which way should I walk today?" That's not really my experience with guidance at all. Think of it like walking in a middle lane - not too extreme in asking but not too infrequent either. Pretty soon you'll be able to tell what is real and what isn't. I hope that helps. - Emily
I’m confused. Ken wapnick says your life and everything that happens has already been filmed. It’s therefore not about changing anything here but about how you look at what seems to be happening, that is, with the ego or with forgiveness. So asking about what to do etc seems contradictory
Hi there. We have a different interpretation of the Course. On one hand it does support the idea that what is happening here has already happened *and* in many other places it’s asking us very directly to help and heal the world. We do this through forgiveness but it’s absolutely behavioral. We have a lot of content about this but I’ll paste a good starting point below. Thanks for your question. This is a very important issue.
You guys have such a naturally harmonious energy exchange Have you thought about perhaps taking a walk together or going on a lunch date?? Just a thought 😂😂😂😂😂 🌀❤️🌀🫶🏻🌀❤️🌀
Personal stories or examples are great!! Thank you for sharing those

It is so easy to get lost on a spiritual path, and my ego loves that. Thank you for some very practical tools for my spiritual toolbox ;-)

Thank you so much, Robert and Emily. Parts 1 & 2 have been very helpful.

The way out of hell for us is to ask Holy Spirit (your teacher) for guidance.
Not sure if you read the comments but I would love it if you did a whole meet on the subject of what is hell?

What’s the difference between receiving guidance and following your intuition?
Intuition can be guidance, however, true guidance is coming from a higher Source. 🩵
Uh 😮 oh, my ego is huge with "don't tell me what to do"

What about demonic entities? Spiritual science is very consensus that this is not only real, but common.
