"Cool, collected", manner. Not collective. Because I'm pretty sure Seth is more of an individualist anarchist, than anarcho communist. Although... there is a sort of MTB collective thing goin' on...
The arborist RUclips channels are actually fantastic content. You’ve got men hanging by ropes 80+ feet in the air with a chainsaw strapped to their waist, talking off 500 pound logs one at a time. There’s a ton of thought that goes into making sure each log falls in just the right place, roping up the logs so that they fall in a certain direction and don’t take out any of the tree climbers in the process. Fantastic stuff.
my dad was a bush man for 44 years and i showed him this and he was laughing throughout the whole video, and thatch nice to see since he has not had a proper laugh or smile in a very long time, keep up the great work seth!!
Seth I would watch you clean a shower, you manage to make everything interesting and fun and I feel like I know Berm Peak as well as my own garden now!
After watching videos for the past couple of years, I've concluded that the key to a successful channel is being LIKEABLE. The content itself is secondary. Now, it helps to get rolling faster if you have good content to start with, but once you're comfortable on camera and can be yourself and be likeable, you will succeed. Seth is amazing proof of this. A few other channels worth mentioning for the same reasons: Matt's Off-Road Recovery, Fab Rats, Trail Mater and Robby Layton Nation.
Great video, especially being certified in ladder safety. Look into a Ladder strap/cinch for stability, 3 points of contact at all times, and when you're up high keep your sternum inside the width of the ladder when leaning side to side

Hey seth, I'm a professional arborist in New Zealand, and what I would have used was a fiddle block to pull the tree over because of the back lean, and no your hinge is not good, your scaf is your direction, yourhinge is your steering which you had no hinge so you really had no control, and your back cut is your release and your control, but for a homeowner it's better than what I've seen been done on other youtube channels, congrats on not destroying anything, mainly because it was dead my main concern when you were doing your back-cut is that when you put tension on the tree with the gator was a barber chair happening, which is dangerous and deadly, anyways keep making your great videos, I watch every one you release after work👍
really good point about barber chair, it looked to me like he had no hinge on the smaller stump left but some holding wood on the bigger one further in the woods.
